Erol and his team far exceeded my expectations. I had subway tile laid in a herringbone tile and their cuts and placement were perfect. All seams were matched, grout lines even, etc.

You know, I never write reviews but I honestly wanted to go out of my way to do so on this company. Professionalism, Punctuality, Responsiveness: Erol is the owner of Deco Tile Services and he is probably one of the most responsive business owners I have met. I was contacting several different tile companies for quotes on renovating my downtown Raleigh based condo and it was a no brainer in the end choosing Deco. The experience I had tackling finding a great tiling company were: some of the companies didn't even get back to me, were very slow to respond, or when they did respond, they talked above my head to where I didn’t feel comfortable that I’d be helped through the process of my renovation. Erol answered my call right away and was able to walk me through the different steps of what he would need in order to provide a quote. After providing the quote, he was there to answer any questions I had and even was great about giving suggestions and advice on tile and grout based on his experience. When my renovation of my condo was ready for tiling, Erol was very good at scheduling a team to be on site and notified me of when this would be happening and what was needed from me. The team showed up on time, were very trustworthy and made sure that when the project was entirely done that they tidy up. Pricing: I think any renovation cost is hard to stomach but I was also tackling a LOT all at once…like my entire condo since it was very dated to 1999 when it was built. The tile I chose was very expensive from a privately owned and local tile company (other than the kitchen Subway tile from home depot) BUT that was my fault and just my expensive taste! Honestly, Deco’s pricing came in at either the same or lower than the other companies I had priced out which made me feel confident in my decision with going with them. Quality: I read some of the other reviews but it very much so surprises me. The quality of the work was incredible in my condo. I will say that the boxes of tile that I purchased from Home Depot were not as “guaranteed” as the tile I purchased from the privately owned tile company. When I got some of the boxes of subway tile from Home Depot, there were cracked tiles, and some of them almost seemed as if they were made at a different time because the color varied or the sizes were slightly skewed. Deco warned me about this but I didn’t feel like paying for something so simple from the private tile company so I went against his judgment. Once the subway tile went up, it didn’t matter too much about the varying sizes because it honestly looks perfect. The bathrooms look amazing with the grey washed wood looking tile and the shower has gotten so many compliments from visitors. It was mentioned to me that if there were any issues with the tile to just reach out but so far so good. Grout/tile always settles and they will come out to fix that when it’s the right time. All in all, positive experience and really trusted this service/owner and that is why I ranked them the way I did!

We chose a 1" hex tile for our master bathroom shower stall. The work performed by Erol Varinca at Deco Tile Services was an absolute disaster. There were several areas with uneven grout lines, the stall walls have a "wave" in the wall-- the back wall of the shower stall is not straight. In addition the corners of the stall look terrible with missing tiles and grout work. In areas where tiles were missing, he just smeared grout into the gaps instead of cutting tile to fit. The corners of the shower stall look particularly sloppy-- missing tiles and grout smeared into large gaps where tile should have been cut to fit. He made a bad cut on one of the floor tiles and instead of pulling it up and redoing it, he left it in place. He also installed a broken tile in the master bath floor and simply filled it in the large gap with grout instead of pulling the tile and doing a proper cut. In additon, he did not put sealer in the grout, so now we have to seal the grout after the fact. It would have been simple for him to put sealer in the grout at the time he did the tile installation. We raised these issues with the builder and were told that the small hex tile is "difficult to work with". If Deco Tile Services felt they could not do a quality job w/ that small tile, they should have informed us and suggested we pick another tile. Now we have to redo the tile work in a brand new house. This installer is not capable of doing quality work, look elsewhere.

This company was ultra professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with! From estimate to followup, whenever we were to meet, they were on time. They made zero mess, cleanup was excellent. Erol was extremely knowledgeable and his guys were true craftsmen. The bathroom came out gorgeous and I would not have them do anything differently! Highly recommended!

I called and they came out within a couple of days. We emailed back and forth to answer questions and once we agreed to use them, I think it was only a week or two before they got started. It took them two days.

I used Deco last year prior to being a member of Angie's List via a recommended list of contractors from my Tile Supplier. I was even able to use his discount to purchase the tile. Erol is the owner of the company. While he was younger than most of the other people I contacted, he was very knowledgeable. He said he dad was in the business. He has a crew who actually does the work. They did a fantastic job. Later I found a spot that needed to be touched up, (our fault as tape was covering it around the tub surround from cabinet work my husband was doing), he came back to fix promptly AFTER he'd been paid.

Sergio's team was excellent from start to finish. The work required needed to be completed over the course of 3 days. They showed up on time (often early) for each appointment. They took measures to protect our floor coming into and out of the house and always cleaned up after themselves. We were fortunate to have tile left over when our home was built 6 years ago, but we didn't have quite enough to complete the shower floor as it was originally. Due to the creativity of Sergio's team, we were able to use some leftover border tile with the original tile to complete the floor without having to find something that would match. It's actually looks even better than it was. Quality of work as well as communication was great... Sergio was always responsive to any inquiries we had. Highly recommend Deco Tile Services!
