I only went with this dude because the warranty company sent me to him. BAD CHOICE. He was immediately told me that a woman shouldn't be doing these things and when I told him I was a retired Army LTC who has worked with equipment 10-20 times bigger than his....he said "right"! You shouldn't have to read any further....that really sums it up. I didn't check reviews but they are right there....he is HORRIBLE at customer service and needs to retire. If the chamber doesn't step in...they need to retire as well. Just look at his reviews.....The worker (Ronnie) who came out to pick up the mowers, and later charged me $60 each! told me right away NOT to hire his boss. He was crooked. I was desperate and moved forward anyway. The mowers were returned on a day I was NOT at home, left in the front yard with the keys in them. One key was bent terribly. That lawn mower was the one that wouldn't start. STILL DIDN"T! I disputed the charge on my credit card and the old man lied! He said it was fixed. Carolina Outdoor Power did work that was not authorized by myself or my family. They replaced the spark plug, air filter, changed the oil, did several other things that were not needed. Instead of making the requested repair then calling to see if I wanted some other work done, they took it on themselves to jack up the price and do unneeded work. I am not a individual that knows absolutely nothing about engines as they feel everyone that walks thru their doors must be. I would be very careful and get a full description of all work you want accomplished and have them sign it before giving them the opportunity to make any unneeded repairs they wish. I feel they just to drove up the price. The $39.50 deposit would have been an overcharge for what I told them to do. Perhaps $25 to $30 would have been fair.
