I purchased the big deal. Within 2 days I was contacted to get on the schedule for the repair - (this was very nice as I didnt have to reach out to the company myself. Once scheduled I was told that I had to supply the materials. Not a huge deal being it was a small hole to patch. I purchased enough material for the job. When the company arrived the "handyman" didnt like that I had 2 smaller pieces of sheet rock instead of 1 whole sheet. He almost walked away until I convinced him that"even I can do the repair with this material, but I thought I hired a professional. 2 hours into the repair he informed me that the deal didn't cover a second day trip, it was only 1 trip and it didnt matter if he was there 3 hours or 10 minutes, "1 trip". He performed the patch, 1 application of mud. let it sit a while, then applied another "heavy coat" of mud. After which he informed me it would be ok, would just need some extra drying time and a good sanding before paint.

Excellent work! They were on time, quickly identified the supplies we would need (I went to Lowe's while they started working as that would have used up part of the 2-hr time), and did great work. When they left, the drywall needed 1 last sanding before painting and I chose to do that myself. Overall, the job took almost 3 hrs so I paid for an additional hour. It was well worth it and I hope to use these guys again for future (and larger) projects.

They were courteous and non-defensive when I confronted them about their lack of punctuality. I was taking time off from work, and I was a bit upset. The two handymen finished the main job in the one hour time slot but did not have enough time to complete a smaller job that was less urgent. They cleaned up nicely and the job was completed to our satisfaction. I was satisfied but not overwhelmed with their competence.

We bought the initial three hour slot to finish off some things that an earlier hnadyman never got to--because he was smoking in the truck or taking a break. In any case, he 'corrected' most of those errors and did a good measure of additional things that needed being done--attaching handles to cabinet doors and drawers, installing the support arms for some shelving, and finishing up the installation of a ceiling fan. He was quite genial, amiable, and thorough--wouldn't take a break until he was sure we were finished with tasks.

I purchased 3 hrs. of handyman work for $99. Richard came over to help me determine the amount of time needed to replace 2 closet door, a door unit and door and some minor drywall repairs. He also measured for the needed materials. He told me that he felt this work could be done within 3 hours. Phillip arrived on time to do the work. When he got started he realized that the measurements were not correct and had to return to the store to exchange the item. He told me that time would not be charged against the purchased 3 hours. The closet doors were installed and the drywall repairs were completed with no problem. The door unit was installed, but during the installation the door frame split and was repaired with wood filler. By this time Phillip had been at my house for 6 hours. Because the door was the last thing to be installed, the wood filler and spackling around the door frame were not dry, so the wood filler could not be sanded and the door frame was not caulked. When the job was finished I was told I owed another $175 for an additional 2 hours work. I called and spoke to Richard about the extra time (that I was not expecting) and was told that I could have asked Phillip to stop working after 3 hours. After 6 hours, the job really was not complete.

Handyman Solutions came by the house and we discussed what materials needed to be purchased a few days before. I purchased the materials ahead of time so their time could be spent doing the work not getting materials. On the morning of August 3, the gentleman from Handyman Solutions came over in time, and began the work. He did the work in a timely manner. The job was completed and done well.

When the installer came, he pulled up the carpet and found existing tiles that, he said, were asbestos. At that point he stopped and called the office for instructions, which were to stop and go no further. The charge was $0. I understood why he stopped and had to do remediation to resolve the asbestos issue. I eventually did the tile installation work myself.

Phillip did not arrive at the appointed time. After half an hour, I called the office and they called him. He called back in about 20 minutes (was on a roof at a previous job and did not have his cell phone with him). He estimated accurately how long it would take him to get to our house. He was polite, took off his muddy shoes, and immediately started to work. On a few tasks where I needed advice on exactly what to purchase, he was careful and precise. He did a careful analysis of two tasks to do what I asked -- determine what was needed and how long it would take. He was professional, multi-talented, and careful to do a good job.

Simple process as noted above.

Chris was on time and professional. He repaired some insulation in my crawlspace. Then he replaced a fluorescent light in my kitchen with some track lighting that I had purchased. Overall, great experience.

The appt was scheduled for 9. At about 9:30 I called their office and the reception told me they were on their way. By 10, still call or contractor, so I started painting myself. By 10:30 they showed up with nothing to do the job, so they ran to the home improvement store. By 11 or so they were back to do the work. They did a small 12x12 drywall patch which was acceptable. I just kept my fingers crossed that once the patch dried it would be ok. They left a mess in the kitchen which was their prep area. Very late, unprofessional and would not hire them again.

Installation of the ceiling fan was thwarted when, over two hours later, it was evident that the fan worked but the light on it did not. I asked that he take it back down so it could be returned / replaced. I am certain that it was installed correctly and that the issue was due to a product defect. After uninstalling the unit, the handyman spent the remaining time installing a replacement light fixture in my kitchen, which went without a hitch. Approximately two weeks later, the same company offered another special, this time $79 for 2 hours of handyman service. I had them come back out and install one vanity light fixture and two small ceiling fixtures in a bathroom. This work was performed without any issues. I would recommend this company for any handyman jobs of this type.

appt. was sceduled for 9 am. the office called to inform us the person doing the job was running late, and would be at our home in about 20 mins. he came but had to leave again to pick up an equipment from Lowes. he was also waiting on a helper. the job was completed, they cleaned up. was paid and left.

It didn't. He showed up to late and acted like he didn't even know what he was supposed to do.

It went great. Not only did the handyman work quickly and did a great job, but he explained to me everything he was doing, and showed me a few little tricks so that I could fix it next time similar things happened. He was also very nice, friendly, and fun to meet. That being said, when I had some follow-up questions, I had a tough time getting in touch with him, as his phone number changed and then changed again. Not a big deal, as he was going above and beyond to give me some advice on something else anyway.

As I stated Chris arrived on time and performed the duties of hanging each wreath on the windows. Hung a big wreath at the center window and installed a light in the center of the big wreath. Took boxes and and put up on storage ledge in the garage. He was fast and efficient and went about the task at hand. My husband was very pleased with Chris's knowledge. There is other work that was noted by Chris and my husband that needs to be done, like wood repair replacement on outside of house and we will be calling Handyman Solutions and getting them to do additional work because of Chris, at the begininng of next year. My husband was well pleased with Chris's work ethic, professionalism and knowledge was very personable. As stated you cannot go wrong with this company mainly because Chris represented his company well by showing up on time, did the work gave advise on future work that is needed gave us a business card and told us to call when we are ready. Thumbs up! Would reccomend to a friend and will use them again.

He arrived on time, is a very friendly gentleman who has years of experience in doing a variety of jobs. He gave us great advice on completing a few that we did not have the hardware for. We would definitely ask for him again!

Two painters started at 1:15 and were done by 2:15, netting $60.00 an hour per painter. Apparently any trim work was "additional" and would have cost me more. The quality of work was OK.

Phillip was very courteous and professional. We were very pleased with the quality of work and would highly recommend them.

Handyman Solutions is a family run business, and quoted me a estimated time and price to do this job. No one came by to look at the fans and the job. I informed them that I had purchased the Angie's List special which was 2 hours of handyman work for $79.99. The owner's son showed up at my door with another young man, I was never informed that two people would come. They both were poorly dressed and had poor social skills. The owner's son said that the $79.99 special would only count for 1 hour since two workers were there. I told him this was not correct and that on the print out of the special there was no mention of 1 hour for two men working. He argued with me at the door over this and had a dismissive attitude. He threatened to leave, but I was in a spot needing these fan to be installed literally the day my Thanksgiving family were arriving. He told me that the two of them could get twice as much done since one would be assembling a fan while the other was installing it. I allowed them to begin the work. I went around to check on them and discovered quickly that one of the men was standing at the bottom of the ladder watching the other guy install the fans, while there were still two other fans needing to be assembled and a light downstairs to be installed. I came back 20 minutes later and the same thing was occurring. Meanwhile it was taking a long time to get one fan installed. I called Handyman Solutions and spoke to the owner, the father, and told him about what was happening. He was dismayed at their behavior and lack of hard work. He told me he would honor the two hours for $79 and would speak to them to get them to work more efficiently. After that call, they worked harder and faster. The worker who was the son would not speak to me the rest of the time they were here. No invoice was presented to me and the whole thing was extremely awkward. I will never use Handyman Solutions again.

It went very well. I was not sure how long each job would take and what supplies I needed to have on hand. I understood why the ceiling fan job could not be completed due to the missing piece. I was glad that Phil took the time to secure the fixture to which the fan would attach, which was loose and would have caused the fan to wobble if attached as it was. I preferred that each job be done with care rather than having more done. I found the advice on the garage door opening to be helpful, and thought there was attention given to providing the full measure of time promised in the agreement. I felt confident in the ability of the service provider to do a variety of jobs with competence.

They arrived on time and assessed what they needed to do. They put down tarps to protect the hardwood and sanded the walls. they swept up and then patched the areas and cleaned up and left. After the walls were dried, I then sanded the walls and painted.

Overall it was a really great experience. The handyman was very pleasant and knowledgeable about what he was doing.

Two workers came on time and I was informed that with two I would get one and one half hours. After showing my requested repairs I was told they did not have the neccessary patch for the 6 inch hole. When scheduling I informed the gal of the hole. I went to Home Depot for the item while they worked on the rest. Fifteen minutes later I returnd and he said the rest was done. The second worker spent most of the time on his cell phone. I had to bring them back into the bath to address the seams better. That ceiling is still bad but I would say it was a challenge. All the other places I have bought some spakling and had to do touch up cracks that were just as bad as when started. They left after one hour anxious to leave and get back on the cell phone. I hate to give an F but I would not use this outfit again.
