I used them through a big deal on Angie’s List and they were terrible. It was really difficult to schedule and they sent the wrong people several times. The people who finally came to do the actual job took forever and did it wrong. I ended up taking it all out and doing it myself.

He was good. He was personable. He took his work seriously. He did a good job. There was no hole in the wall when he made the wall. He did what he was supposed to. He was very understanding. He explained things to me. He listened to my questions and didn’t cut me off. He was hard worker. He made sure that he finished it right and there was no calling him back. I had a coupon but actually don’t like the coupon. The coupons are nice. I have to pay for the coupon and look them up and yes, there is information but I rather like freedom of choosing. Unless it was really small I probably would never use a coupon again.

The process of getting the job done was a disaster. The first time they showed up, they didn't have the needed scaffolding, although the need for this had been clearly established in my communications with the scheduler. He was supposed to come back a week later, but due to scheduling and personnel problems on their end, he did not. I waited 4 weeks to be rescheduled. When the next crew showed up, they were also lacking the necessary scaffolding and were unable to complete the job. I waited 3 more weeks until a team showed up with the scaffolding, but lacking certain other needed tools, fortunately, my husband had what they needed so they used his tools, but they broke one of his drill bits in the process. The whole job, which should have been done in one 2 hour visit took 2 months and a five hour job.

They did a great job. I had them come out for a follow up, and the two visits combined were $210.

It was great. I recommend him and his team.

I used the AL Deal, they showed on time and did some simple shingle repair efficiently. Would use them again.

They originally were scheduled to come on a Friday between 12-2pm. It was almost 3pm and no one showed up. I called the office and left a voice mail and waited a few minutes for a call back. When I didn't hear from anyone I checked my cell phone for the gentleman's number who I had been dealing with and called him. He was surprised no one was at my house and he said he'd call me back. About 45 minutes later, he did reach me and since it was now so late in the day he said I would hear from his office to reschedule. I never did, but come Monday morning, the workers showed up early to do the job. It was a good thing I was off that day to answer the door. I never did get an explanation or apology, but was happy with the work and to just have it complete, I didn't make an issue of it.

Overall the fellows were very receptive and eager to provide solutions. I plan to use them again in other categories.

We had a good experience even before the worker arrived because the owner of the company made it his business to inform us several times that our big deal was about to expire. He seemed interested in our not losing our money. The worker he sent was knowledgeable and did a great job fixing the doorbell and taking down an old screen door and hanging another. He even exchanged the door my son had previously picked up that was the incorrect size. And, he did all of it within the two hours that we purchased. I found the owner and the worker to ethical in their respect to customers and in the work that they did.

I was very satisfied with this service.

Shawn was amazing. I never thought anyone would be able to get through my very long list of small home repairs in the six hours of service I had purchased as two 'big deals', but he completed everything a little over four hours. He said he would come back another time to give us the other time purchased, but he had driven so far to our home and already given us such amazing service and value for the money that I told him he did not need to do that. He is so very fast and obviously knows what he is doing no matter what that might be. Everything was just done perfectly, and we have not had any problems come up with the things he did for us (such as replacing light fixtures and electrical outlets).

The install team was great they were able to get it all complete in an hour ( two intallers 1 hour each) they completed what I needed to have done and cleaned up after themselves. Professional, and engageing in there interactions.

The Gentleman from Handyman Solutions was prompt, he worked with me to decide the best place so he valued my input. He made sure he knew what I wanted before he started the work so that there weren't any problems later. He explained everything about the equipment that I had purchased and about the moving the TV in the future and he did a complete clean up after doing the work. He got a lot done in the 3 hours. I would definitely use him in the future if I needed his kind of expertise.

I was very happy with the service. The parts of the home were pretty dirty and they spent a lot of time out there trying to get it clean, which we appreciated.

They did a terrible job. They just came in and plopped it up. I wasn't even here and my daughter was home for lunch from school. They didn't arrive when they were supposed to. They walked in and did it while she was home for 15 minutes and walked out. They charged me $225 and never even checked on me. I paid for an hour or an hour and a half for two people here and they weren't here 15 minutes.

Scheduling was easy. Emails returned promptly. Handyman called to ask to come earlier than scheduled appointment, which worked well. Aspects such as communicating, scheduling, etc were fine; the problem is the quality of the repairs. It seems to me that 'drywall repair' would mean fixing a hole in drywall. The handyman could not repair the hole to completion in the 3 hour time allotted, so I'm a little confused as to why 3 hours is chosen as the block of time. The hole that was my main goal to repair wasn't dry in time to apply the final coat of joint compound and sand. I will have to either hire someone to complete or complete myself. In between coats of joint compound on that hole, the handyman was asked to complete some other, smaller repairs. One was a small hole from a towel bar in a bathroom. After discussing that the bath would eventually be redone, including removal of wallpaper, the handyman fixed the hole, indicating he would 'take care of the wallpaper' near the repair site. Instead of removing the wallpaper where the repair would occur (which I had started), he applied the joint compound over the patch material and the wallpaper. Thus, when the wallpaper is removed later, it will take the joint compound off with it. This repair will probably have to be redone. There was also another small repair on the stairwell to the attic. So much joint compound was applied to this patch that it is bulging. This repair will need to be redone as well. I have been left with one incomplete repair and 2 that will probably have to be redone.

The drywall repair was done competently. The two young men came a half hour before the appointed time and seemed amused by the gullibility of people on Angie's List that took advantage of the deal in that they said that everyone was surprised at how little time it took to do the jobs. This experience has caused me to be very cautious about taking advantage of "big deals".

Wished we had the owner originally but sent two employees instead - they were early and they were friendly. Just wasn't the work we had hoped for. We informed on the front end that a toilet would have to be removed to get to the drywall repair. The toilet continues to run on and off but we will address later with calling in a plumber. Just wouldn't use again.

I called and paid them and they said they would call back to schedule the appointment. It has been three days since I called them and they have not called me back. I have called them several times and they have never returned my calls.

The painter arrived late because of an accident ahead of him that prevented him from being on time. He was apologetic and rather agitated. It was a cloudy/rainy day but when he arrived, it wasn't raining, so he removed the doors and took them outside to paint, but soon after it started to rain, and he struggled to get back inside with the doors. He put down tarp to protect my carpet but still got a little bit of paint on the carpet which we both tried to get up asap. Eventually, he got the two doors back up and was able to paint them. He did a good job but it would have been better if he could have painted them outside so that he could paint behind the louvered doors as well. It might have been better to reschedule the painting for another day--though it's certainly hard to predict the weather. Although I put No in the box above about whether I'd contact this company again. I actually wanted to put "maybe." I called Angie's List and asked them to add a "maybe" option to their review.

I went to Handyman Solutions because I got a coupon from Angie's List. I wanted to have my deck and porch floor stained and the deck painted. As it had been 3 years since I got the deck and had done nothing to ever clean it, they recommended a power wash. They had Chris come out. I told him to be gentle with the covered (porch) floor, but didn't care much about the outside deck. (It was bad wood and has warped beyond belief). Chris first nailed all the nails that were poking out and there were a lot. Chris said he wouldn't do it for too long because we had a well and he didn't want it to run dry. He did 15 minutes of careful work and then let the well fill back up. I paid one price for this - not hourly, so he had nothing to gain by doing this except good will. He got it! It rained for several weeks after that and we kept trying to get the rest done. Richard (owner) contacted me through email several times to let me know he hadn't forgotten about me. I knew they couldn't do it when it was raining, so I was fine with waiting, but it was nice to know he was thinking about how to schedule it. I specifically asked for Chris when the time came to stain and paint. I wanted the floors stained and the sides of the deck painted. It looks fantastic. No kidding. Everything was done. Nothing was slopped on. The stain was even on the floor no excess or dark spots. Every ballister was covered ? I couldn't find any place that he missed. He was conscientious to a fault. I will have them back again.

The first person lead showed up, once I introduced him to what had to be done, he immediately said it was more than he can do. He didn't feel confident of being able to make it, but he said that there was somebody else that he knew of that could come in here and do the job right. He didn't try to come in and do something that he couldn't and he immediately made mention to me about the person who would be better suited. The other person came in and he did a great job. The only thing I would suggest that you should make it clear exactly what the work is ahead of time so that the send the right person

It took 2 days - they showed up on time each day. Each day they cleaned up the debris and the last day the owner came out to make sure we were satisfied, which we were. We would definitely use them again!

The two gentlemen arrived on time and did a fine job with the tasks I asked them to do. My only (and minor) frustration was that I had to go to the hardware store three different times to get the appropriate product to cover up the oil-based stains on the exterior walls. I thought they should have been able to tell me the correct product the first time. But, as I said, that was a minor thing. The gentlemen were polite and punctual and their work was completely satisfactory.
