Description of Work: I kept calling and asking him to see if he could set up a time and date to do the work. It was going on 3 months after I paid for the deal and the office people didn’t respond back. At that point I got a refund for the $79. They are on the other side of town so I don't think they wanted to drive the 2 hours to complete the work.

Description of Work: Initially we had a very bad experience. The worker that came out was not professional and did not install the faucets and lighting properly. I was so upset by the time he needed to leave, that he left with more damage done than before he came. I called and spoke to the office and they apologized and sent someone out to fix everything immediately. I understand that bad experiences come, but it is how the company deals with them that makes the difference. I would give them an A for fixing the problem! 3 faucets replaced lighting in kitchen replaced

Description of Work: Unfortunatly we cannot comment on the quality of service as the painter did not show up and after several unsuccessful attempts to contact Richard, we decided to do the job on our own. Honestly, we understand when circumstances change, however the professional thing to do is to keep the client informed, which did not happen in this case.

Description of Work: Small repair jobs around the house - fixing the handle in the toilet, fixing a window frame, repairing a towel rack in the bathroom, anchoring a hanging door shelf assembly, making a new shelf in the pantry; he also looked at some bigger jobs and advised how to deal with them.

Description of Work: Did handyman work cleaning up a house purchased. Included cleaning, putting up light fixtures, caulking and tile work.

Description of Work: They didn't do the job because after I set up the appt, I was told they would be there just a few hours. Knowing that this type of job would take longer, I asked the owner "so what WILL you be doing in the scope of work" ? I was told a totally different story than what your original ad stated. Everything changed and also it would end up costing much more money than the $ 299 I was quoted on your site for the "deal of the day". I cancelled and then it took over two months to get a refund because they said "you" had to issue it because they did not have the money (even though THEY were the ones that charged my credit card !)

Description of Work: Fixed cracks and wear marks in the drywall in our master bath.

Description of Work: Repaired the ceiling drywall seam in a bathroom which was caused by a leak in above bathroom. They re-taped the seam and then smoothed out the seam with the drywall mud. The results were that the fix was much smoother than the rest of the ceiling

Description of Work: Used a chain saw to take down thorny trees around the house. Replaced electrical box inside the house. Helped me figure out why the garbage disposal wasn't working - and that it wasn't an electrical problem, but rather that the motor had died.

Description of Work: we had them restain our deck. The overall service was good, but was expecting someone to be there three hours. Instead they sent two men for 1.5 hours each. We thought they would have time to stain our stairs as well, but no.

Description of Work: I emailed the company explaining that I wanted a ceilng fan, which I had already purchased, installed in a room with no overhead lighting at all. They scheduled me right away and I specifically asked if they were coming to look at the job or to do it; their response was to do it. So that evening a guy called and said he was running late and wanted to briefly go over what the job was. He reported that he thought he was simply hanging the fan and had to call the office to see what he should do. He called back, said he was told to do whatever it took and he would be over in about an hour. He never showed up nor did he call back. So I emailed the company again and told them what happened. They said they normally did not work on Saturday but they were going to do so that Saturday and the guy would be here between 9-10am. About 10:30 I get a call saying the guy is ill and not able to make it so they scheduled me for the next Monday evening. Needless to say I'm not a happy camper at this point. So Monday comes and much to my pleasure a gentleman named Phillip comes to do the job; only he can't do the job because it is going to take 4-6 hours to do the job and i had no material other than the ceiling fan. THIS is why I asked if they were coming to LOOK at the job or to do it. Fortunately Phillip left me feeling confident that he knew what he was doing and that he would be there once he reported back to his boss what we discussed. I decided to email the company again to make sure we were all on the same page. I asked for a quote as well as a list of materials so I could save some money buy buying the material myself. I was told that they would supply the material, which they did not mark up, and would show me the reciept. They also said they were "leaning towards 4 hours" to get the job done. So Phillip comes out, does the job, does a GREAT job! It does take SIX hours PLUS i had to PAY for the time for him to pick up the material which was only 30 minutes - but 30 minutes at $70 an hour! Of course at this point there is no need in discussing it because the work is done so I paid. While I am pleased with the work that was done I am not pleased that it took 4 appointments to get it done and that I was not told I would have to pay for time to purchase materials. Should Phillip go into business on his own, I would hire HIM in a flash. I really expected more from a company listed on Angie's List and realize that you cannot always expect YOU will get the same great service that someone else did. :-(

Description of Work: I hired a handyman for a three hour period. The technicien removed three old light fixtures and replaced them with new ones (furnished by me). He could only replace two of them as we discovered that the wiring for the bathroom one was dead and totally not up to code (1950's homemade install). He and I were not prepared to do a rewiring job so we agreed to leave it alone for the time being and simply remove the old fixture. He left after just a little over two hours. He was nice and courteous and professional enough to let me know it would be over his skills to try to redo the wiring, which I know is better left to professionals.

Description of Work: Painted all the porches leading to my house. Very pleased with the 2 young men who performed the work.Pleasant and worked the whole time. Paid them with special promotion and for extra time not covered by"Big deal" purchase. Very happy with their work. Their supervisor also came to our house and fixed a small plumbing problem for no charge.

Description of Work: I contacted them by email. Got a response, said that they might come to my area in the afternoon. No phone calls, only vague emails. They never showed up, no call, nothing. If that is the way they do with appointments I really don't want them to do a job for me.
