Description of Work: used cheaest products available to build home, well was inadequate, shorted us on gravel for driveway, minimal required insulation did not seal around pipes and wires entering from beneath the house, stairway railings and pickets had to be replaced. Carpet was lowest grade possible. No sound insulation between upstairs floor and downstairs ceiling, dishwasher was not secured into place, the pedistal sink in bathroom is slanted, towel racks not installed, drainage for under house allows water to drain back under the house.

Description of Work: We had our 14'X70' mobile home wrapped in Tyvek and re-sided with vinyl siding. Marty is incredibly prompt and responsive. The preliminary discussion and agreement was handled by mail with no issues whatsoever. The job was started on time and was finished early. Marty delivers delivers exactly as promised. Marty's price was the best and the quality of work is good. We are very pleased and highly recommend the House Doctor. Honest and forthright. We are probably going to have him do some more work for us.

 + 1 moreIt went very well. He re-pointed all of the masonry joints and installed mortar board around the circumference of the chimney. The board was secured with metal screws every eight inches and was then stuccoed completely in order to complete the waterproofing and its stability.
Description of Work: He restored the condition of a chimney on a mountain cabin. It was in question because of the status of the masonry joints and the integrity of the concrete blocks. It leaked and may have been unstable to the point of being unsafe for the chimney sweep to reline.

 + 2 moreI was very impressed with him. He paid a lot of attention to detail. The man and his son, they both worked really hard and they would take like 30-minute lunch and be right back to work. He showed up when he said he would. He stayed late and I was very impressed with the work he did. I thought he was the most reasonably priced of the people I talked to. He said that I do not get paid until you are satisfied.
Description of Work: I was doing some remodeling and The House Doctor came out and laid new linoleum in two bathrooms and a laundry room. He put in tiles. He replaced the door. He did several different things.

 + -1 moreMarty Wilson, with The House Doctor, came last summer to give me a quote on building a small outbuilding behind our house because my wife didn't want to have to store things in our crawl space any more. When Marty first came to look at the project he was exceptionally helpful in providing information and advice about our ideas for the small garage. After my wife approved the plan, Marty said he would be back on Monday morning of the next week to start the project and he showed-up at the exact time he said he would arrive. As Marty built the garage he made sure that what we had originally decided on was still what we wanted to do. Marty wound up finishing the buolding in less time than I thought it would take him, and our new garage looks great! Since then I have recommended Marty to another couple we know for some needs they have around their home. I am a very satisfied customer!
Description of Work: Marty built a small garage for my wife and I so that we didn't have to use the crawl space under our house. He prepared the spot for the garage, built the structure, wired a couple of lights and outlets, and finished the outside of the garage.
