We dropped our SRX off on a Friday. The service was scheduled for Monday, but another car in the necessary bay was held up, due to parts not coming in. Joey called us and let us know what was happening, and that it would take more time. Then, our vehicle needed a special tool to set the chains, so they would properly work. It cost the shop over $200 for this tool. They did NOT pass that cost on to us. They also found another issue, a small one with the wiring, and fixed that. They held to the original estimate, despite the job taking longer than they hoped. All the time, they kept in touch with us and kept us informed as to what was happening. We can't say enough about the great service and awesome professionalism of everyone at this shop. We also used them for the first time a year or so prior, when my heater core hose broke, while driving on the major highway close to them. Our mobile phone towing service could not find me, even with my phone's GPS being on ( we are in the Great Smokys) and there were no highway markers, despite this being a US highway. I called Ridgecrest, and explained where I was. They knew exactly where to find me, and came within 15 minutes (after dropping off another tow they were currently involved in). They have a senior discount, and both tow and fix(which was done in exactly the time frame they told me, and for the exact estimate) were included. Even though they are 28 miles and 40 minutes away, they are our go-to mechanics!

I spoke with owner Joey after he saw this on Angie's List. He was unaware of what Randy had done as Randy repeatedly told him that all was well. Thank heaven that Randy is no longer with the company. Joey has resolved this to my satisfaction and I will let people know that Ridgecrest is a company that I will use in the future.

My daughter was in Highlands, NC for a summer internship. While driving, her serpentine belt snapped. Ridgecrest towing was called by USAA to tow the car. They were very punctual and put my daughter at ease. The car was towed to their shop in Franklin, NC. Because this happened after hours, they actually had a mechanic stay until the car came in in order to check it out. It was obvious that the serpentine belt snapped, but because a new one had been put on her car 2 months prior, they wanted to make sure they found out why it snapped. They did a great job and had my daughter back in her car the next day. They were kind, courteous and kept me informed during the process. They even faxed a copy of the receipt over to the auto shop that put the serpentine belt on 2 months prior, so they would reimburse us to have the new one put on. They went above and beyond, and when your child is far away and something like this happens, it is so nice to know that people will go out of their way to help. I highly recommend Ridgecrest towing and automotive services.

I had called AAA for a jump on my explorer. Joe shows up, gets my truck started and then admires my '86 f-150 sitting in the yard. I tell him it would not start that morning and I had not looked under the hood yet. He grabs his tools and we go over to look at it. He spends about a half hour and tells me the solenoid is bad. Now he was not there for that problem and was not paid for anything but the jump. He spent 1/2 hour of his own time just to help me out. He has been my mechanic ever since. It was a good investment too. I took that f-150 in and had them do everything from a 6"lift kit to new rims and tires, completely upgraded the mechanics and it runs like brand new. My family has 3 other cars too and they service all of them. If you are looking for a dependable mechanic who does good work and only the work needed this is the place. We have been very happy with them.

It went good, my car is running fine and I got a discount because my cousin get lots of work done at Ridgecrest for his car.

Overall I am so satisfied with this company. What a horrible day it started and ended quite well. I live a town over from Franklin and was there visiting my sister. I noticed my drive over felt funny, but I didn't think about it. My sister and I stopped over at a local consignment shop to drop off a few things and when I came out I noticed my left front tire was pretty much almost completely flat. I googled a few local towing companies to come out and take a look. Ridgecrest quoted me the lowest price so I went with them. They came in a jiffy and swapped out my spare tire just like that. The driver, JD, was very professional and courteous. I'm glad I called because now my sister has a great company to go to now for her auto needs.
