When wWe found Kolousek Plumbing on Angie's List and since their reviews were very good, we called to arrange for them to meet us at a house we had recently inherited, in hopes that they could find out why we could not get any water. As we live out of state, reliability is as important to us as competence. Everytime we called Denise Kolousek, she either answered her cell phone or responded promptly to my voice mail messages, so I was quite optimistic. At first, we did have to change the day and time of the plumber's visit, but that didn't seem to be a problem for the company. Another appointment was made for the following week. The day before the plumber was to arrive, I called to confirm that he would be there at the agreed upon day and time, since we were driving up from out of state to meet him. I got Denise Kolousek's voice mail and left a message. I had not heard back from her by the time I left for work, so my husband called and left a message with her and gave her additional phone numbers she could use, including my cell phone. We called again to confirm on the morning of the day we were to meet the plumber but again, no response. In all, we called three times to confirm and never heard back. We did go on up to the house and got there before the agreed upon time. We waited for 3.5 hrs. and the plumber never arrived. We were unable to call Denise Kolousek again, as the house is in a cellular dead zone. We finally returned home. When we arrived back home, there was a message on our home phone that the plumber had arrived 1/2 hour after we had left. He had apparently been told to arrive in the early afternoon. This was NOT the time we had ultimately agreed upon with Denise Kolousek. The time we had agreed upon was 10:30 AM. I was able to get in touch with my brother (who lives in Highlands) and have him meet the plumber at the house. The plumber seemed to be able to figure out the problem and generally sounded quite competent. He told my brother he would have Matt Kolousek call and give us an estimate. When we had not heard back from them, my husband called the company again two days after we were at the house and asked them to call us back, but once again, no response. It has now been five days and four phone calls later and we have yet to hear from them with an estimate, an explanation or an apology. At this point, I would rate their reliability at a D- and I would only rate them that high because the plumber did eventually arrive. We have been very inconvenienced by them and we're very, very disappointed at their lack of reliability.

Joshua was extremely courteous and professional. He fixed the broken pipes and then double checked everything inside the house. He found a broken pipe in the kitchen which he fixed before turning the water back on slowly. He then validated that all worked well including the hot water heater (heater elements were working OK). He was very client focused and detail oriented. Great service.

As a result of his work he will be on my plumbing referral list.

Prompt response to call that water heater wasn't working. Matt and helper appeared, figured out it was the breaker in the electrical panel, went and got a new breaker, replaced it and confirmed that the water heater was now working.

Very courteous service from the person who scheduled the service through the actual work. The work was top rate and he gave some tips how to handle future work without having to call a plumber.

I called Mr. Kalousek in response to a neighbor who has a summer home here and is not on the scene to effect repairs. Both the neighbor and I are very happy that we know this plumber and will use him in the future.
