Pretty good overall, though there was delay in ordering parts and after installation, they had to return the next day to adjust cables in one of the furnaces which had gone out. All works fine now. The bill came in a bit under the estimate and there was no charge for coming out to make the adjustment. (Their initial call out to assess the situation was reasonable, ~$65 w/ tax.)

Our initial estimation contacts - Clint THEN Frank were amazing. Timely, professional, took time to walk me through things, answered all of my questions and concerns thoroughly and gave me options. Frank came back with Tyler to do a load estimation to ensure we had the right size unit for our home. Ryan and Rob were our installation crew (along w Clint) and were also very courteous, informative, professional and polite. I also love how every member of the team was so thorough in cleaning up after themselves as well as courteous in taking shoes off when in the house. Brenda from the office was prompt in keeping me informed and very polite every time I called with questions. I love LOVE how they also gave us options for our install so it didn't feel like they were just trying to push the most expensive option on us. I could NOT have had a better experience and would highly recommend using this company for your HVAC needs in the future. This is the best heating and cooling companyI have ever dealt with.Have used others in the past. Frank and his crew were very professional and affiant. They are the best! I highly recommend them!!!!!

It went great. Pat showed up about noon and he quickly checked the system and advised on a couple of courses of action. He filled the system and within minutes the house was cool again. I know I will have to replace the unit in a few years as the R22 refrigerant is phased out. But now I have a few years to plan for that eventuality.

The guys were great! Worked in cold wet conditions and didn't complain or slow down. Very professional. Didn't take short cuts-made sure everything was done correctly.

Entire process was seamless. Frank gave me a fair price and his techs did a phenomenal job with the install. Brenda in the office was fantastic to coordinate with, and their technician taught me a great class on using the system. County inspector even made a comment of what a great job this company did. Frank, his son, Travis and the other people who came out were very knowledgeable and friendly. We had them do work on another home that we had. They are the best and we would recommend them. They serviced our other home before we moved and we wouldn't use anyone else.

Four years ago I used a competitor air conditioning company to install an $10,000 unit - The kind with all the bells and whistles. The unit never worked correctly and I have about 15 to 20 repair tickets over the last 4 1/2 years. I had multiple companies try to fix the problem, but to no avail. Finally I called Frank at Sheer Comfort. They came out quickly and Frank was astonished at all the problems I have had with the unit. He asked if I could wait a day or two for results and I agreed. He acted on my behalf with the manufacture of the air conditioning unit was able to get me a brand-new unit (inside and out) for free. I heard him on the phone speaking with the manufacturer? He was actually arguing on my behalf! After a couple days he called me back with the good news. The next afternoon, his crew was here installing my brand-new unit. All I had to do was pay for the labor. Sheer Comfort's workers were prompt and courteous. The job was completed as scheduled and I am one happy customer!

Wow! What a company! We just really appreciated Frank's attitude and the ability of the team to get the job done. They even came out on Saturday on the weekend before Thanksgiving so we'd have heat for the holiday with folks coming in. We will be forever grateful for the Sheer Comfort team. Everyone was professional, punctual, and courteous. They told us what they were going to do and did it. What a concept! One that is lacking in so many workmen these days it seems. Something was amiss in the wiring of my ac system that kept it from coming on. The technician was in the area and came by in less than 30 minutes. Lucky or not, that was simply awesome, especially when it was in the thick of ac season. They worked methodically and quickly to find and remedy the problem. They were professional and very pleasant. They made sure to clean up any debris left behind. I had a few related questions and they were happy to respond. I am very pleased that I have cool air now and feel that the folks at Sheer Comfort are worth recommending without any issues.

We use Shear Comfort to perform routine maintenance on our units. This year they discovered the coil in the second level air handler was rusting badly and had developed a freon leak. Since the system used the old freon, which is getting expensive, and I had concerns about the compressor unit's long-term health, we opted to replace the system. The price we were quoted was reasonable considering the equipment and installation. Unfortunately, I was going on an extended business trip and was not going to be home when we scheduled installation. To further complicate matters, my wife's office is directly underneath whether the second level air handler resides in the attic, and the attic access is in her office. Shear Comfort showed up as promised, and did the installation with no disruption to my wife's work. She reported to me that she really did not notice them working above her, and considering she spends a reasonable amount of time on the phone, that says something. They completed the work as expected and the system was back up and running. When I returned home I inspected the work. If I had not known the air handler had been replaced, I would not have known any work had been done. The attic was neat, the work well done, and everything else left in as good or better condition than it was when I left. Same for the area around the compressor unit outside. Everything was first rate, they showed up as promised (around here, that is rare enough to be unusual), they used quality equipment, the price was good, and I know from past experience they stand behind their work. Shear Comfort long ago earned my loyalty, and they reinforced that during this job. I only wish their service area extended to my mother-in-law, who is 450 miles away!

Installation was done on promised date. Job was completed much more quickly than I expected. Job cite was left in good order and all trash was removed from our premises. One small problem was discovered several weeks after installation but it was handled promptly and to my satisfaction.

we had gotten 3 estimates, Sheer Comfort was in the middle. We had decided to go with Sheer Comfort and set a date. Our old furnace gave out a week before our date, and they came the next day and got the job done. Friendly, professional, and cleaned up after themselves, even mopped the floor

They didn't know how to service them. They said they would show up and never did. So we found another company who were actually LG certified. This above mentioned company was not! I will never use them again.

Frank Sheer, his son Travis and Jamie installed a new 2 ton HVAC system in my home. They arrived precisely on time for the 2 preliminary visits as well as the big day of installation. Frank did a load estimate for the floor space, windows, insulation etc which the other 2 companies I called neglected to do. He answered all my questions (and I had a lot of them) patiently and with and with an impressive amoutn of expertise. He was patient and thorough even when I veered into off topic subjects like water filtration, hot water heaters, and dehumidifyers! His son Travis was an excellent instructer in the art of the programmable thermostat which they had installed for me. Jamie was great, too and patient with my 4 animals crowding around. All in all, a great team. Next week they will be servicing my old upstairs split system and upgrading a few things that I did not know were available like a new float switch for the old unit. . 'They also installed a system for my friend last month and he couldn't say enough positive stuff about the work ethic of this company. Oh, and they left the work site cleaner and tidier than it was when they started. The entire system was installed in a matter of 4 or 5 hours. I am not a relative or associated in any way with this company other than to be happy to have found them as I have rental properties that have not been properly serviced for years and now feel a lot more confident about this prospect.

Frank Shearer, owner of Sheer Comfort, is a very knowledgeable and experienced contractor. He worked with us from the beginning to the end of our search for the right system for our home at a price that was the most affordable for us. We had many questions, and he patiently answered all our questions and addressed our concerns. There was never any pressure to make a quick decision. He was genuinely interested in what system would work best for us. Once we chose a system and it was ordered, we learned that the air-handler was too large for our application. Frank apologized for this error and took full responsibility. We were then advised that certain air-handlers' heat strips wouldn't be safe for our manufactured home. We appreciated his concern, as representatives of other companies had never mentioned this. The installation was delayed a day, but it worked out okay. The rainy weather was a factor. Frank apologized for the delay. There were a few minor adjustments needed after the system was installed, but these were addressed very promptly and adjusted to our satisfaction. One of the technicians, Robert, has offered us another adjustment to make the filter easier for us to change. We appreciate this extra effort to make it easier for us to care for our new system. The crew of technicians were all polite and there was a sense that the entire operation was well-orchestrated. Everyone had a job to do and performed it well. Both units were installed and working well in about 5 hours. It seemed to be a very efficient time for the work completed. Overall, we were very pleased with Sheer Comfort and would recommend this company to others.

I was pleased with the service representative. I was pleased with the service. My problem was with what they charged. In this area code, service check-ups run between 65.00 - 85.00 dollars per unit plus parts (if needed). As I have 2 units, my check-up should have cost no more than $170.00, plus freon They charged me $330.00!!!!. I called the office the following day seeking an explaination, and I was told that freon is expensive. Ok, but $80.00 / lbs. Gouge!!!! I ask for the manager / owner to call me back, never happend. My Advise is ... clearify charges before the work is done.

From the beginning everything went very well. It was only one or two days from the time I called until the owner came out to discuss the installation. A day or two later I received a quote and installation started a couple of days after that. It rained hard and often during the installation and since much of the work had to be done outside there were weather delays. But they tried very hard to complete the installation by coming out even in the rain with the hope that it would clear and they could finish. Luckily, after the relatively short rain delay, their diligence was rewarded and they completed the installation. When they were about to leave they discovered that an incorrect filter was not included in the manufacturers heat pump packaging so they had to special order the filter. They could have just sent me the filter but they made a special trip just to install it. They do quality work at a price less than other contractors I called and the heat pump has been working great from the day they turned it on. I would recommend Sheer Comfort to anyone needing HVAC work. I know that if I need HVAC work done in the future I will be calling Sheer Comfort to do it.

When they did the work I had two problems, neither major but at the time I was irritated although they were both solved. One is that he installed the wrong thermostat, he put in a Honeywell one when I requested the Nest. This however, is half my husband's fault for signing the contract but not looking at it. The other part is that they just threw away my old system which still functioned and so I wanted to recycle or resell it as to be ecofriendly. They never asked me what I wanted to do with it but when I told them I wanted it back they did retrieve it so that was also solved. I would hire them again depsite these issues because it was a crazy time for my family since I was living in a hotel with m newborn and just wanted to get back into my house. I understand these were simple communication errors that can most likely be avoided in the future.

My old unit, which was 20 years old, finally died. My first call was to Frank at Sheer Comfort. Don't look any further for quality and professional HVAC service and installations. Frank and his crew were responsive from beginning to end. He was in the neighborhood and came by immediately and gave me a quote. Frank and his company were patient with me and answered all my questions through the decision making process about picking the right unit for my needs. Sheer Comfort's prices were fair and there service was excellent. I asked them to install a matching thermostat to another one I had so my wife and I wouldn't have to learn a new one, they did it without question. I was so appreciative. My overall experience working with Frank and Sheer Comfort was excellent. I told them I hope my other old unit dies soon so I can have them back to install another nice new energy efficient one.

Company did a very professional job making sure a new system was the proper size for my house and that the air handler matched the ductwork before submitting several proposed systems to me. The installers arrived when they said they would. The installation went well and is very neat and tidy. All cables and pipes are firmly secured. A pan with a float valve was installed under the air handler to handle possible emergency leaks. Clean up was very thorough, you can't even tell they were ever there. We discussed air filters and the Company recommended some electrostatic filters for the entrances of air return (keeps ducts clean). My previous experience with such filters was good, but I didn't know smaller ones were made.

I think that he did a very good job. He was prompt. His people were courteous. His price was very competitive, and everything he did was top-notch.

They were even more impressive on the job; efficient and very tidy, even making the duct work look nice in my unfinished basement. They were very easy to talk to and explained how to use the new touch screen to save the most energy $s. I have recommended them to friends since mine was installed.

The furnace was installed in January of this year but due to some changes in ownership it was not turned on until we took control of the property. Even with the issues of our not getting in touch with Frank until the last moment, he came and completed the process so we could have heat. He was courteous, professional and knew exactly what he was doing. The system works perfectly and thanks to him I am warm in one of the coldest weeks ever in October!
