The excavating and grading was not great - we asked for dirt to be brought in and it never was. In April of 2011, we noticed water coming up near the drainage fields and called the builder. John came out within a few days and dug up the chamber and said that the problem was the chamber had been pierced by a fence post. My husband disagreed, but let him repair the work. A few days later, the water was back and we called the builder. We were told to wait a few weeks for everything to dry out. Nothing dried out and we contacted the builder. Nothing. In May, the builder came out for another problem and by now the water was percolating out of the ground. I showed him and he made some calls. In the mean time - our garden, which the builder and excavator knew we were planning, had been planted to the left of the drainage fields. We continued to contact the builder to see what was being done and got no real response until July. The fence installer hired a group to hand dig the system and it showed that the entire system had been crushed and when the builder finally sent another septic installer (when my garden was filled with vegetables) to inspect and give an opinion, we were told that the fence installer was in no way responsible for the problem, it was poor installation. We were told for weeks that John was coming out to inspect and repair and he never did. The builder finally had to hire another company to remove and reinstall the system, ruining my garden.
Description of Work: John did the excavating and installed the septic system on our new home in 2010 as a subcontractor for our builder. He was called back in April of 2010 to inspect a problem with the system.
