Description of Work: I used a coupon from Angie's list to have my gas fireplace cleaned. John was on time and called when he was on his way. I called him a couple of months later to install a new thermostat, which was also $75. I would definitely use his company again.

Description of Work: Purchased through Angies List. Appointment made same day and service performed within two days. Cleaned fireplace element. I thought the thermocouple needed replacing, but thorough cleaning solved our intermittent outage problems. John Zeller was very down to earth, friendly and addressed our needs.

Description of Work: Mr. Zeller had to postpone the service twice, but he called and explained why he had to postpone. The morning that he came, he called to say he was coming and he came as he stated he would. He was friendly and professional. He found the cause for our gas logs not working and he repaired the problem, He explained why the gas logs had not worked properly. We would use his service again and we were very pleased with the results.

Description of Work: We had a leak under our kitchen sink and in the guest shower. John arrive and inspected the kitchen sink leak, has a bit of a problem finding the leak. As we thought it was only when the sink water was on which was not the case. He dried up the small amount of water that was in the sink cabinet. It took about 10 mins before he could find the leak which was on the hot water side under the shut off valve. He replaced the defect PVC tee with a snake bit tee. While waiting to see if the leak on the kitchen sink was complete. John then went to inspect the leak in the shower. This was very simple just, he removed the shower head neck and replaced the Teflon tape. Tested and all was well. No leaks, no runs.

+ -1 moreI did not have a serious emergency or an expensive job, but John Zeller was prompt to return my call and prompt to arrive at the time we agreed. He was friendly and knowledgeable about our "washerless faucets" and remained perfectly calm even when the old cartridges did not slip out like they're supposed to. He was professional, pleasant, and I felt comfortable having him in the house. Moreover, he allowed my elderly husband to hover over his shoulder and ask a million questions while he worked! When he finished, he left things as he found them and double checked for water under the sinks. When he presented the bill, I thought he charged a fair price for the parts and even cheated himself a bit on his labor time. He also honored Angie's 5% off coupon and encouraged me to call with any questions or concerns. All in all a very satisfying experience.
Description of Work: John Zeller checked our leaking kitchen and vanity faucets and replaced the Moen cartridges in both. He also explained what he was doing, so if our second vanity's faucets need replacing, my husband could probably do it himself.

+ 0 moreThe pipes in the house are old, probably installed around 1960, or earlier. They were not exactly compatible with the new fixtures. He had to make adjustments to make them fix correctly. Even though he was here for hours more than he thought it would take, he still charged a very reasonable amount.
Description of Work: Mr Zeller is a plumbing and gas specialist, both residential and commercial. He replaced our tub faucet and water handles in the bath, which even though turned out to be more complicated than originally thought, was done in a professional manner and at a very reasonable price. He was here for quite a while overcoming unplanned incompatibilities with the plumbing and the parts, and the price was still very reasonable. He also, in the past, has replaced a kitchen sink faucet and installed a new water heater.
