The 15 amp breaker connected to my outdoor AC unit was occasionally tripping for about 6 months. I called Veterans Home improvement to find the problem. Rick and a fellow colleage came out the next business day and diagnosed the problem. They were very friendly and were even nice enough to wave the diagnosis/trip charge since they were in the neighborhood for other business anyway. They believed that the current amperage of the breaker was insufficient to handle the AC compressor load during extreme temperatures at start up. He called his electrician to come out the same day to replace the 15 amp breaker with a 30 amp breaker. The electrician charged me $85. Interestingly enough, the electrician seem to express slight doubt that this might have been the problem. About 3 weeks later, after periodic use, the breaker tripped again. After another 4-6 weeks the problem became progressively worse, so I called Veterans Home improvement. I left a voicemail with Rick. Ricked called back but I missed the phone call. He didn't leave a message, but my caller ID displayed his returned call. I called back and left another voicemail, but Rick never called me back. $85 down the drain due to a misdiagnosis. I really thought that this would have been a great company for other home improvement type work that I had in mind, but not returning my phone call or taking responsibility for their incorrect diagnosis was unprofessional and ruined any trust factor that I may have had with this company. The worst thing you can do is not respond to customers, especially when there's a problem. This is all to common in Fayetteville.

They were a great company to do business with. Work was completed efficiently and they were very professional. The quality was excellent and I got many compliments on how wonderful the kitchen looks now. They cleaned up all of the work site and were very accommodating with the family at the rental property. I would highly recommend them and I will be doing business with them in the near future.

After completion they cleaned up everything and I would highly recommend them for any job.

Excellent!!! I supplied 90% of the materials and VHI supplied the right people for the job. They were friendly, professional, and skilled in their work. The price was right compared to other estimates that I had gotten. I plan to use VHI again in the near future (within the next 2 weeks to 30 days!). If I could, I'd give them an A+, plus extra credit for a job well done. Thanks to Rick for all his help, for his military service, and for continuing to serve by providing military members and their families an honest, reputable company for all their home improvement needs.

The service was quick and efficient. Rick cleaned and serviced two units (one dual and one electric). He did not enter the house and had me adjust the thermostats as needed. There was one assistant helping him. He used a meter/device that indicated the freon was low and discussed that and the estimated cost with me before proceeding to add the freon. He was friendly and offered advice as needed. The military discount was a bonus.

Veteran's was very responsive, friendly and easy to work with, and very professional in every aspect of the job.

The contractor arrived when he said he would and he and another worker fixed my mailbox by unbending the base (which was damaged) and then reinstalling the mailbox by putting a new cement base on it. Afterward, he came inside and installed the new programmable thermostat I bought with no issues. This company is very professional and I highly recommend their service. I wasn't home during the installation (a family member was) but he did call me afterward and made sure I was satisfied with the work he did. The company had great communication with me at all times!

Veterans Home Improvement arrived at my house in just 15 minutes after I called them for a free estimate. They conducted a thorough search of all areas of my home in preparation for a home inspection. I received an estimate in writing a few hours later. I received 2 other estimates from other contractors in the area and was a little concerned with Veterans Home Improvements low cost. I decided to hire Rick and his team to work on my home and I am very happy I did. I had two crews at my house on Halloween working without breaks to complete all the repairs to my home. They were very professional and really made me feel like I was the boss. The quaility in which they fixed my house can only be described as excellent. I would definitely recommend Veterans Home Improvement for ALL home repairs if you're looking for great service at the best price finished in the best time. Rick was very responsive and professional. I am an active duty Soldier, so I felt good that I had a veteran-run company working at my home. They were so easy to work with that I actually never have met them face to face. I would come home and the work was done to perfection.
