+ -1 moreBadly, after being told it would take a month to finish my chair, he had still not even started after 4 months.
Description of Work: Dropped off a chair and fabric for upholstering first week of Sept. 2012. I was told it would take a month to complete. I was ok with that and agreed to it. After a month he still had not started. I checked in after two months, he still had not started on my chair. After 4 months, it's early January now, it still had not been started so I picked up my chair and fabric to take elsewhere.

+ -1 moreI stopped into the shop and showed Mr. Paul a picture of the chair. He estimated how much fabric to get and what the cost would be. I then brought the chair back with the fabric a couple days later, and it was done in two days! The people who work there are very nice, and the quality of the work is outstanding. I am delighted with the chair and would be very happy to use them again.
Description of Work: Paul's recovered my great-grandmother's rocking chair with new fabric.

+ -1 moreOverall this was a very good experience. Recommend you go by to see him to discuss any project because he can't always hear the phone. Although the answering machine says he is out making house calls, he is really there.
Description of Work: We had two bar stools which were about 6 years old. They were vinyl covered. The vinyl split on the front part of the seats and needed to be replaced and additional padding added. Upholstery by Paul had been referred to me by my hairdresser who had also had work done by Paul. I went to see him and we discussed the vinyl he had on hand, but I didn't see anything I wanted so Paul encouraged me to check elsewhere, purchase the material I wanted, and he would do the work. We purchased contract quality vinyl (like what you would find in restaurants) and brought it to him. He did wonderful work and we couldn't be more pleased. It took a little longer then we expected (just one day), but it was well worth the wait. Paul is a very nice man and is very honest in his opinion and recommendations. I would use him again and will recommend him to others.
