Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Our neighbor in the condo below ours reported water leaking into the ceiling of her kitchen. We contacted RotoRooter Fayetteville (aka Kowkowski Plumbing) to detect and repair the source of the leak. Jay Jackson arrived (late) on 6/16/2022. He inspected our neighbor's kitchen ceiling as well as every plumbing fixture in our unit (kitchen sink, dishwasher, all of the bathroom fixtures and connections in the laundry room). He could not find any standing water or evidence of a leak in our condo so he contacted his office for additional assistance. His supervisor and additional technicians responded. After reviewing the situation they decided the only way to find the leak would be to: "remove ceiling in downstairs apt to find leak from apt above". It was the end of the day and we were told that before any work could/would be done they required a deposit of $2500 up front. Work would not begin until the following afternoon (6/17/22) at the earliest. When Jay Jackson arrived on that date he wanted me to sign an open ended contract with multiple blank (incomplete) sections that referred to binding terms on a water mitigation agreement (supposedly attached). The mitigation agreement had never been proposed, discussed or reviewed. It was not attached nor was one available. Jay Jackson could not answer any questions. His supervisor (Michael?), was upset by my questions and unwilling to give me an explanation for performing "restoration work" before locating and repairing the leak. He was rude, argumentative and forgot he was dealing with a consumer of the product his business provides. At this point we decided to exercise our perogative to employ a different plumber. We informed Jay of our decision. We also contacted his office. We asked them to refund our deposit, less any service charge for their inspection ($218.28!!!), which had not been quoted previously. Buyer beware! Not all franchise companies stand up to the service you expect with "name recognition". We cannot, in good faith, recommend this company.

Overpriced, over 250 dollars an hour? For a non emergency plumbing repair? Ridiculous. Job was fine… wasn’t a hard one so not surprised.

Absolutely excellent!! 5Stars all the way! Andrew our technician did an outstanding job! The quality of work showed the pride he takes in his work and his desire to satisfy the customer.

It went great. Desmond arrived in a timely manner, was extremely polite, explained all the details of the process for him to solve my problem, and completed the work. When complete, he gave pointers on my disposal, cleaned up behind himself and was nice to my dog who I had secured previously. He also let me use my Angie's List coupon..saving me a little for the service. Thanks! PS Desmond (#752) was great!

Roto-Rooter was too much money.

I was very pleased with the service. He was very nice and made sure to clean up behind himself! I also, as a woman, felt I could trust him being in my home!

The service tech was scheduled out to my house between 10 and 12 they arrived around 11 am. He was ready to work. He quickly came in and assessed what the problem was and came up with a plan of action. He went out to work up an estimate and promptly came back with with the estimate ready to work. He was very polite and clean in all his actions making sure the work area stayed neat through out the service. I was very pleased with the way he handled the job from start to finish. He made sure I understood what he was going to do without making me feel like he was belittling me as a woman.

The tech, Brandon Ellis came on-time and was very professional, courteous and took care of my problem drain in short-order! I am totally pleased with Roto-Rooter and Brandon and the service provided. Brandon used the Roto-Rooter Drain Jetter to clean my drain line, which saved me a small fortune by not having to have the line replaced by a plumber. I highly recommend them for any drain problem you might have, especially if you are looking at possible replacement of an existing drain line.

Charged $55 just to show up. Then told me it was going to cost $275 to try to clear a drain problem, but he would not guarantee the fix. Said it would only cost me half if he could not fix the clog. I sent him away and paid the $55 and still had the clog. I will never use Roto Rooter again. I have never charge any anything that I did not fix, and I would not expect to pay for "effort".

First, I've used Roto Rooter in the past and the service was pretty good, however this time it was lousy. I felt like I was begging someone to take my money. I filled out a form online to setup an appointment for service. The online setup stated that I had an appointment scheduled for between the hours 4 to 6 p.m. Needless to say no service person came to the house and I didn't receive a call to reschedule the appointment. I had to call them to schedule an appointment over the phone. The service guy comes out and tells me he can't give me an estimate on the work he's supervisor has to give the estimate. I asked him when can he get back to me with an estimate and he told me by the following Tuesday. He never called back. I had to call Roto Rooter again for them to contact me with an estimate. The guy calls leaves a message talking about the work could not be done. Needless to say I won't be calling Roto Rooter again. Very Poor service.

They sent an excellent repairman who diagnosed the problem which was a clogged drain pipe due to its small diameter. They cleaned and flushed the drain pipe and I have had no problems since this work was completed. I would highly recommend them and was also impressed with their prompt response time and through clean-up which left the area spotless.

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services are expensive and the man who came out was doing his job but seemed heartless. He wanted to charge me more than what the toilet was worth to install a repair kit so I declined that service. He told me to watch a video on how to install it. He did call the insurance for me when I had a water problem with the leaking pipe so I felt he helped me when it came to the house insurance.

I was pleased that Roto-Rooter was able to respond the same day, while several local plumbers I called were not. The plumber provided a courtesy call when he was near, so I could meet him at the house. He did not have the correct parts on his truck (apparently I had a non-standard installation). After a couple of trips to the local plumbing supply shop, he was able to finish the job satisfactorily. He did not charge labor for the time to and from the store, but it did take a bit longer than expected. Ended up paying a bit more for a plumber out of Fayetteville, but was pleased that the problem was resolved quickly.

It went terrible and I'm still having problems. I had to call someone else in to complete the work that they didn't do. It was a mess and I wouldn't recommend them to anybody. They sent a young guy out who was just learning things and we found out later that they could've unstopped it outside of the house in the front yard. He brought a big long thing that was like a hose that I called a snake into my bathroom and it scratched up my counter and my cabinet. He ran the snake down into the commode and under the floor all the way into our bedroom bathroom and knocked a hole into that commode. They wet up the carpet in our bedroom and scratched up the tile in that bathroom. We had bought a commode that sat up high so my husband could get up and down and they said that they'll replace it and be back the next day, but in the meantime we would have a big hole in the bathroom. I told them that would not work and they decided to put something there for the night. The next day he came back with a regular sized commode to replace it and I told him that's not what we had, so they took that one back and brought another one which still wasn't up to the quality of the one we had bought. The bad thing was that he saw what it looked like and it's like they thought we were stupid. Since that incident with them there's a sewage smell in our front bathroom and it's been going on for four years. We've had people go under the house and check and there was no leaks and they couldn't find anything. I would never use them again and if they had just did it from the outside none of this would've ever happened, but he didn't know what he was doing. They sent a rookie out and I guess they thought it would be a simple commode stoppage.

He did a great job. He ended up snaking the pipe to unclog the blockage. He came to our home later at night and he was one of the few that was able to come help us. The pricing was good and he was very pleasant to deal with.

Kitchen drain pipe and trap came loose and broke. Called plumbers but no one but Roto -Rooter responded. Arrrived after another job in area and looked at pipes and told me was he would need to do. Did work with no trouble and no problems,very professional. Price a little to high, for job,$150.00 but if u need it done:)

He was very professional, arrived on time, found the leak pretty fast, gave me an estimate and an estimated time. He was finished sooner than he estimated and did not need everything he thought he would so my cost was not as high as the estimate. I will definitley use them in the future.

They did a very good job and it just needs to be painted now. I think he was here within 15 or 20 minutes, they are very professional, and they explain everything without you having to ask. They give you tips about how to keep things unclogged and they give you a silicon that goes down your drain. They were in and out in no time. That poor main had to climb under my house. I would definitely use them again.

The job went fine except I am still having issues with the toilet. I told him what was going on, instead of doing one procedure; he decided to change one part. The owner of the house decided to go to someone else. He was very friendly, but he just wanted to change the part rather than trying to address the problem.

As I was getting our daughter ready for her dentist appointment, I felt water in our living room carpet. I immediately shut all the water off in the house and out at the street, went to her appointment, and came home to call Roto Rooter. They were at my house within the hour, identified the problem (a busted water pipe in the wall), and fixed it in one hour's time. The technician, Sheldon, showed me everything as he discovered it and explained different courses of action, and their consequences. He was prompt, polite, professional, and informative throughout the entire experience. I would highly recommend them to everyone. The price was much better than I had anticipated too.

THEY DIDN'T INFORM ME OF IMPORTANT INFORMATION THAT THEY SHOULD HAVE. HE DID HALF THE JOB AND A LOUSY ONE. HE CHARGED WAY TOO MUCH FOR WHAT HE DID. I DID HAVE SOMEONE ELSE COME OUT TO DO THE JOB RIGHT.
