I do not recommend them at all. They dropped the ball on us and we had to take them to small claims court. We had them for over forty years. They did not handle our renters very well. The renters left without paying for damages. We lost our claim and were not allowed to go after them. We decided not to rent our property anymore. We had to get rid of our rugs because of a flea infestation. The doors were mismatched. They had been late and nothing was done. They renewed the contract with these renters. They charged us 10% commission, and for the eviction fees.

The day before I rented my house from RE/MAX I came to their office at 4:45 PM (the office closes at 5:00) to sign my lease. I was told by the property manager, Treye, that I should sign without reading the lease and they were about to leave for the day. In her words "you can read it if you want but ain't nobody going to be here to sign it after 5 o' clock." I should have known right then that I should not have done business them, but I left and came back the next day to read and sign the lease. since then I have had constant trouble with the house, ranging from a broken sewage line that caused raw sewage to pool in my back yard to a broken light fixture that took 3 months to replace. I got a lawer and started contact with the owner of the house and we have a verbal agreement to terminate the lease (I am still waiting for the written agreement to come in). Do not rent with these SLUM-LORDS.
