This company is in way over their heads! I would typically fault individual employees for such lousy service, but seeing how casual they were about how poor of a performance has me convinced that their entire business atmosphere strives for less than mediocre. The initial surveyor was on time and took adequate notes. He either did not pass them on, or they were ignored. Day one of packing seemed to go well enough except that the packers openly and loudly complained how bad their employer is and that there is "too much stuff" in my house. At first I thought it was a general comment, but then the "too much stuff" comments were being used in relation to my age making it far more specific and personal to be appropriate. When the packers left on day one, they were less than half complete. On day two, the best working packer was replaced by someone who had showed up to work obviously physically ill, clogged both toilets in the house when they "got sick", and left early. I do not know if the company was aware that one person went home early or not, but this left one person alone at a job site that obviously required three people. At 5pm on day two of packing, two more people arrived to help pack out the house. I am sure at one point I heard glass breaking (assuming from the glass desk top from the home office) but I did not get any notice or explanation about broken glass, and all of the boxes were packed and sealed, undoubtedly with a surprise for myself at my destination, and whomever takes the insurance claim that this was just passed on to. The packers placed drinks directly on wood furniture, and tracked in far more dirt onto the carpets than what I would consider required. This is a moving job, not a construction site. There was no concern at all of the condition of my property as they worked, based on the lack of care exercised with my furniture, the excessive force used to get cardboard boxes to close, and how filthy my floors are now. This was also reinforced with how many items were overlooked, and missed. I would recommend that anyone who sees an Omni Moving and Storage truck pull up to their house would be better just doing it themselves.
