Had Max out to fix a leak in my roof and during the repair he discovered my problem was much larger than originally thought. He found several problem areas that I hadn't seen so I decided to have him replace the entire thing so I wouldn't have to worry about leaks and damage I couldn't see. Max told me exactly what, when and how he was going to do it then showed up when he said he'd be here and did exactly what he said he was going to do. He did an awesome job and left my property cleaner than he found it. My new roof looks fantastic and my peace of mind has been restored. I doubt if I ever need another roof on this house but if I do I will definitely call Max. I'm not a roofing expert but I can definitely tell that my roof looks better than all of my neighbors. Recent rains had caused a leak in our upstairs bathroom. Called 3 other roofers..no one showed up even when they said they would be there. Called Max Strickland and Mr. Strickland was at my house in about 45 minutes. Proceeded to do an inspection of my roof and found several problem areas that needed to be repaired. He showed me the areas and explained the situations. His men were at my house 3 days later and fixed all the problems. They were there on time, did a professional job and cleaned the area thoroughly. I would definitely call Max Strickland again for future jobs.

First of all, I would like to command this contractor as one of the few in Fayetteville area that is very professional, responsive to customer questions, did the work on time, as advertised. The roof looks very good. I have climbed on it personally to inspect it, I find no flaws to my untrained eye, however, I can see it to be of better workmanship that the previous one, that was only 10 years old but was leaking in more than one place and had corners cut in variety of places. This contractor brought in a crew of 9-10 people, had the roof stripped, old shingles and debris hauled away the first day, and part of it done on the first day. I was impressed in how quickly it went, and that they stayed late to finish the job since it was forecasted to rain the next day (sure enough it did, and it being Fayetteville, it dumped ~2-3" of rain, roof came in unscathed). My yard looks exactly like it did before the job, you can't tell that a major roofing work was performed and no plants/lights/yard fixtures have been disturbed! Good job! Would recommend to anyone looking for quality and professionalism!

My roof started leaking during five continuous days of rain. It is not the first time that I experience a leak, but this time in was coming through the ceiling into the living room. So, I thought I would give Angie's List a try after watching several commercials. I selected Max Strickland Roofing because of its good ratings and close proximity. To my surprise, as I was talking to Max it started raining again. Max came over as scheduled and inspected my roof. He covered the damaged area to hold me until the rain stopped. Said he could fix the leak but also pointed out some other areas that I was not aware of. My roof is 30 years old. I walked the roof with Max as he pointed out some areas where the wood would bend indicating some panel compromise. He pointed out nails under the shingles that were rusted and missing heads, drip edges that were not doing what they were designed for, and shingles so old if you touched them they would break. Max did a thorough job pointing out many deficiencies that I would have to deal with in the coming future. I decided that maybe it would be best to get my entire roof makeover. I sat with Max and he advised me of all my options. We decided to replace all the panels and install new shingles. We set a date and time and before the roster crowed, they were on the roof. His crew were very professional and experienced in their craft. They had my entire roof done in two days. They even touched up some areas that were not on the contract just to add a little style and a little dress right dress. I had a chimney with siding that were crooked and improperly installed and they fixed it also. They returned a third day just to double check the area making sure all debris was picked up and everything put back in its order. Some people may want to know how much did all this cost? Well, it was worth it. I now have a roof that does not leak to last for the next 30 years. Let's see, I'm 65 now, at 95 hopefully someone else will be providing a roof over my head installed by Max Strickland's Roofing. I am truly happy with my new roof, I chose a Hunter Green architectural style, and when the sun shines it gives out this radiant green color as if it was part of Emerald City in the land of Oz. So, Great work on the part of Max Strickland's Roofing and his super crew, and last, a special thanks to Angie's List for connecting me with an outstanding business. Oh! and to nature...bring on the rain.

I contacted this company to get an estimate of service to replace my roof. Mr. Strickland was very prompt and provided a decent estimate after visually inspecting my roof. He was very professional, courteous, and upfront with me about what to expect if I decided to do business with him. My only concern was with his estimate that in my opinion did not provide a "detailed" breakdown of services. He did a great job of explaining how the job would be handled and what to expect from his crew. In my opinion what he did not provide was the detailed information on what product he would be using and how he would ensure his company would honor the manufacturers warranty if the shingles did not meet required installation specifications by the manufacturer. I appreciated the opportunity to talk business with Mr. Strickland and wish him and his company the best.

Max Strickland and his crew conducted roofing repairs following a poor re-roofing that was conducted when we purchased the house in 2013. His communication was great, the crew was professional and the worksmanship was great. They fixed several shingles, re-flashed the fireplace, and fixed several other parts of the roof that were improperly done two years prior. I would not hesitate to use his services again, and if/when the roof needs to be re-done in its entirety, I'll hire Max.

We were extremely impressed with the job Max and his crew did when replacing our roof. Honestly, we didn't even know we had hail damage until our home inspection to sell our house was complete. I contacted Max to get an estimate for a complete roof replacement. Max replied to my email and then later gave me a call to setup an appointment the very next day for the estimate. Max then called the next morning as promised to let me know he was on his way. He had great communication during the whole process and did everything he said he would do. After getting 4 quotes, Max was the next to lowest price, but I realize that many times you get what you pay for. I wasn't willing to work with the cheapest company after I read some disappointing reviews and that company was slow to return my call. Once a price and start date was agreed upon, Max and his crew arrived exactly when they said they would. Max was on the jobsite with his crew the entire time and available for any questions we had. His crew was very nice and they did an excellent job of cleaning up around our home after the job was complete. In face, I was very impressed that they were so careful to remove all debris and to return all of our outdoor furniture, plants, etc. exactly where they belonged. I would recommend Max Strickland Roofing to anyone wanting a great job done at a great price!

. I called Mr Max and the same day he came to look at my roof. It had been leaking and the covered back porch roof was never properly installed so he put a rubber roof on that part of my home. He did everything he said he would do, he most definately knows what he is doing and he and his crew was very effiecient and friendly. They worked through their lunch and when they finished, well, the clean up they did was so good, that I could not so much as find a nail in my yard.And the best of all, I have a beautiful new roof and I can sit on my back porch and NOT get wet!!! I would definately reccomend them. Thank you Mr Max.

I emailed the provider late Sunday evening and was quickly greeted by a phone call the next day which was the Holiday. I explained to him that it was a small job and sent him some pictures of my roof pitch and shingle color. He gave me a quote over the phone and told me he would be out in a few hours. I purchased a bundle of shingles to ensure I would have the right ones on hand and he was at my house as promised. Mr. Strickland and his employee where courteous and professional and got right to work. They took pictures, made the repairs, and included caulking where needed. I was very impressed and was given quite a few lessons in his trade and my roof. He performed all repairs on this extremely cold and wet day and never rushed even with the minor job at hand. He cleaned up all materials and worn shingles and explained his repairs on my receipt. I would definitely recommend him for all jobs no matter the size and will contract his services as needed in the future.

Mr. Strickland was very helpful and informative as well as patient with my many questions and interruptions to which I again say thanks for his patience. Initially I called Mr. Strickland out to do a roof tune up because of leaks on my porch and thought it wouldn't hurt to have the house checked too, turns out my 10 yr. old house roof was riddled with many installation errors, and leaks around the vent pipes resulted in deterioration of the underlying sheeting and a collapse of the roofing in that area when the shingles were removed. The porch had not been properly flashed which resulted in the leaks I was experiencing there....these I knew about but not the house until Mr. Strickland showed me both on the roof and in the house inside my cabinets (very surprised there). He and his crew were respectful, hardworking and meticulous in the performance of their job. They had my house done in one day and thoroughly cleaned up behind their self. The roof looks beautiful and I am truly grateful to have the confidence that my roof will keep me free from the elements because of a well executed installation by him and his crew. On the 24th of December I called Max Strickland of Max's roofing. I had already sent email to him and in fact max had sent 2 emails to me wondering if I was going to answer back. I explained to him that I had 5 leaks in my roof of 20 months. Two leaks right beside each other in the valley one leak on the gable side of the valley and one leak on the front flat below the chimney 3-4 feet and to the east . And One leak on the South west corner of my chimney, which is a wood chimney with vinyl covering and metal flue running up the center, capped off. In two days the buckets captured 3/4 of a 5 gallon bucket, maybe more. Max came over to look at the house on the afternoon of the 24th. He climbed up in the attic with me and saw where the leaks were coming from as it was still raining. He then went up on the roof at a time where the hard rain had subsided to a sprinkle. At a minimum max suggested pulling off the vinyl and to re-flash the chimney . The roofers had used the old flashing which is ok but max thought something was not right. ( Caulking might have put a bandage on the problem, which when the chimney was stripped turned out to be much worse). This is ,was a fairly new roof that shouldn't have had a leak at the base of the chimney let alone the other 4 leaks. We discussed the rest of the leaks and some options we both thought about . I set there and thought about several things to include the actions of the crew in 2013 and the response of Ra Bullock roofing in responding to my wife's phone calls in November 2014. In April of 2013 I had big problems with the crew installing the roof. In fact in the afternoon of the first day the crew told the crew boss they were going home. I wouldn't trust the same company to mend a roof for which the crew in question , most certainly had something to do with the leaks which showed through the sheet rock in November of 2014. I won't address the rest of the problems which occurred in 2013 and recently in this review, other than to say it steered me toward having Max Strickland do the repairs on my roof. Warrantee or not ,one has to have some sort of trust in the company doing the work. Ray Bullocks and his crews had worked their way out of my trust. After having max check over the roof I decided to have the entire front of the roof replaced. No pressure from max, just a mistrust of what may happen in the near future with the front . Max knew I was trying to get back to Maine to continue to assist with the care for my mother by the 31st of December. MY flight was scheduled for the 31st. Max called me up on the 26th and asked me if he could do the job for me on the 27th (Saturday)if he could get the materials delivered on Friday the 26th. I said yes and max took the ball from there . The materials were delivered on the 26th. There aren't many roofing contractors who would even think of doing such a good thing. To Max I thank you and your crew for the thought and deed Max's crew was on the job site by 6:45 Saturday morning and with a crew of about 10 -11 guys had the roof stripped to include the chimney and old flashing in very short time. He also had to work around an early slippery roof and metal edging and gutters. One guy was responsible for stripping the chimney and cutting out the old flashing which was up under the sheathing. The same guy cut and installed the new flashing and roofing around the chimney. The rest of the crew worked diligently and professionally under the strict guidance of max. He was on the roof ,and on the ground available for his crew boss or any of his men to ask questions or seek guidance if needed , and max passed out verbal guidance to members of his crew several times during the installation. The job was finished by 1:00 PM. I liked the way max handled and treated his crew and the way his crew worked. I had to put of my trip to Maine until very early Monday morning. I wouldn't get home until Thursday on a plane. I'll be there Tuesday afternoon by car. The guy that did the chimney that the original old flashing used on the new roof was not laid down properly on the west .or right side of the chimney on the new roof in 2013. . The were several butt seems with a bit more space than should be by code. IN the area of the leak there was one nail found between butt ends showing. The east valley had some problems with lacing and two shingles ending in the valley. There were a whole bunch of shingles found not be nailed where they were supposed to be nailed. I guess there is a very particular place that a Owens corning duration shingle should be nailed according to Owens corning for the roof to be warranted. Did any of these types of things cause any of the leaks which occurred in my 20 month old roof, I don't really know. There is a good chance that the mislaid flashing on the right side of the chimney might have caused the leak on the right side lower corner of the chimney. I feel better knowing I am leaving my family with a roof that is not leaking . I think max's roofing did an excellent job. The chimney was definitely not a job for caulking. I won't say anything about pricing accept to say max's cost for what I asked to have done was fair. Most times we pay for what we get. sometimes we don't get what we want or what we pay for . The last roofing job I had trouble from beginning to end. When it is the crew boss with no adult leadership in the area you're in trouble. In this case I think it was a good job and my money was well spent. The rain will always tell the end of the story, but that would be the case with any roofing contractor. Max is a good business man who watches what his crew is doing on the roof/job ,he doesn't sub his work and if there is a problem he is on the job to handle that situation. You can't ask for much more than that.

Went quite well, looks much better. B for the price, but no one would get an A.

Excellent company to work with. Needed roof replacement due to storm damage and rot. Called Max Strickland roofing for a work estimate. Company rep arrived at the agreed time. Was told work would take a day and a half with a full work crew. Arrangement was made for time and day for work to start. Work crew with company owner arrived at the agreed time with complete work crew and started to replace the roof. After first day of work the roofers cleaned the area around the house and neatly stacked the rest of their roofing materials. Owner briefed on what time and what was left to do the following day . The next day roofers arrived on time with his full crew. Job was completed on time and the entrie area around the house was cleaned. No evidence was found that a roof was replaced. Owner briefed on what was done and all paperwork was signed and recieved a copy of the scope of work and the warrenty. Great company to use will Highly recomend for roof work. Also roofing company is highly rated with insurence company.
