Max Strickland Roofing

I had storm damage to my roof, I used Angie's list and was very pleased I did. I called Max, came when he said he would to check the damage. Told me shingles were no good and may need some plywood replaced and that would be extra. Told me if he had a slow day he may be able to come within 2 weeks. Called the night before and said they would here by 7 am, they came on time. Once they got enough shingles off he said all the plywood would needed to be replaced, Asked if someone could go up and check out it out or would take pictures, my son went up. He order wood said he could do it the same day. He was very Professional, punctual, courteous and they did an excellent job for the price he quoted. I would and have recommend he to my friend call him for water damage.

In professional!!!!!He is very rude and needs a secretary or an assist to help him with his schedule because he is a liar and can't remember the agreements he make to just take a looks at a property. He is unprofessional when it comes to communicating on the phone! He was concerned about money. Spoke to him over 5 times and he still couldn't get it together

I was satisfied with the workmanship and knowledge of Max and crew. The repair was done with no hiccups and service was performed in an expeditious manner. Roof pipes, re-nailing of ridge vents and the repairing of the pipe covers was excellent.

Max and his crew performed superior work. There was a fair amount of damage to the roof. His crew worked diligently from dawn until dusk to repair the roof and replace the shingles. Max and his crew went above and beyond to complete the job in 2 1/2 days. They were very personable and hard-working, Max was professional and easy to get in touch with throughout the entire process. Everything was neat and tidy when they finished.

Max is a very busy guy and I do live a little bit out of the way, but once we had an appointment time scheduled he was on-time and walked me through every detail of the job. He is very knowledgeable and loves what he does. One thing I liked is that he takes great pride in his work.

Called him daily for 5 days and all i got was a different reason he could not come out and look at the roof. If you don't want the business just say so. No need to give someone the rin around. Update After Service Provider's Response: We never asked for or expected a free roof, we do have leak damage from Hurricane Matthew and this is a family property, not a rental.

Max and his crew were excellent. Extremely honest and professional. I will hire Max again in the future.

Pretty good but probably didn't get my money's worth. Just caulked some bail pops and that's it.

As stated on the Angies list promotion I did have to shell out a additional $150 because of the pitch on my roof. Max Strickland and his team arrived promptly and performed quality work in an efficient manner. Despite their quality of service they charge way to much. I ended up paying around 350$ for barely 30 min of work. I was quoted 600$ to repair a section of my roof that had some rotting plywood under the shingles. I also asked for a ball park on replacing the roof altogether (1,600 sq ft house) and he stated that "he wouldn't touch it for under 10,000 because of the pitch. I called another company for a second opinion and they discovered that my roof had suffered major damage from the last hail storm that went though the area. Long story short I replaced my roof for the insurance company which cost a grand total of $7,000. I would not recommend this company because of their inflated prices.

I contacted the contractor requesting a quote on 6/19 and received a message back on 6/20 to call to discuss. Spoke with Max on 6/22 and he came out to inspect the roof on 6/23. After examining the roof, he quoted me the price of $425 (I already had the shingles) and said he and his crew could come out the next morning. They arrived promptly and were finished in a little over an hour and a half. Normally I would repair the damage myself, but our new house has a steep pitch roof which I was unable to work on safely. I found the price to be completely reasonable for the time and effort required to make the repairs.

Great service provided by Max and his crew. Due to nasty weather (multiple thunderstorms) it took a couple days to get an estimate, but less than a week later my roof was completed in one day. During the estimate process Max took the time to fully explain the process and options available and answered my many questions. Would definitely use his services again in the future.

Everything went well. total roof replacement in 48 hours. Max was professional and easy to get in touch with through out the entire process. This was my second time using this company, would definitely recommend.

It was good. He came in with a big crew and had it done in no time. He replaced 3 skylights also. It wasnt the whole roof but they did a great job. He was very professional.

Max’s crew arrived on time and work was done by late afternoon –picked up all debris as of it was before work done.

Put on a new roof inn 2013 and it leaked right away. Roofing Company had a one year workmanship warranty and when that date came up they did not return my calls. Had4 others come out to see and I got 4 different diagnoses. Thanks to Max Strickland the l leak has stopped when it rains and I do not hear drips behind the wall. 1st time in 3 years no leak or noise!!! Thanks, Max

Always on time and true to word. Professional and courteous service from Max and entire crew. Job projected to be completed in four days but was able to complete in three. Definitely recommend Max for any roofing needs.

Max called or came when he said he would. Job was done quickly, efficiently and cleanly. We will use him again!

I contacted Max Roofing for an estimate to replace my roof. He came out the same day prompt courteous and professional I went on the roof with him he showed me several areas of concern I had not noticed before to include problems on my patio roof which I was not replacing. He explained the installation process and had sample shingles to choose from he answered questions my wife and I had about roof ventilation and the different kinds of shingles Mr. Strickland gave a quote for the job and we hired him on the spot as we had not heard from the first company for an estimate. Mr. Strickland was on site all the time if we had any questions or concerns his crew did an excellent job the roof looks great they cleaned up and took care to protect the flowers around my house. I was very pleased with the job. They also made minor repairs to the patio roof with no extra charge.

I arrived 12 minutes late for our 5PM appointment due to unusually heavy traffic but my wife was at home so I thought nothing of it (turns out later that she was in the backyard). When Max hadn't arrived by 5:30 I called and left him a voice message in case he had a change in plans or was running behind. He called me back a few minutes later and told me he had already been to my house and rang my bell and when nobody answered he waited until 5:10 and left. I admit I could have called to let him know I would be a little late and now wish I had but I knew my wife was at home and figured he could begin his assessment of my roof without me anyway (another company had done precisely that earlier in the day). I asked why he didn't call me before he left and his response was that it was my responsibility to call him, not the other way around (I suppose the customer isn't always right and he made that point very clear). It's a shame that I missed him by 2 minutes for I was looking forward to probably awarding him the work based on his reviews but as they say everything happens for a reason and perhaps there's a lesson to be learned by both parties.

conversation with provider on first meeting 3-7-2016 was a lack of communication, from the start provider did not want to include all offer for roof maintenance package, I had to contact customer service to conclude that provider would do what work that he did and that to replace shingles broken off in wind storm about two week ago he would charge 70.00 to 100.00 .

Max was very prompt and professional. I highly recommend him!

Arrived on time and gave a free estimate. Offered several different options for roof maintenance. Was open and honest with prices and procedures. Repaired the roof quickly and expertly with no problems.

He went up on the roof and came down five minutes later to speak with my wife. He gave her estimate for $9500.

Definitely talk to Max before any roofing repairs/work!!!! Don't buy this special until you read the fine print. Anyway, Max was very responsive to phone calls and always called when he said he would. We were a bit delayed with all the rain lately but he always would follow up like he said he would. He actually came out today (1/1/16) to follow up on the work. The services bought through Angies list were for "walkable" roofs which I missed in the agreement. Not something that Angies List makes very apparent in their ad. I bought the services for a leak issue mainly and Max took care of the problem anyway. I will definitely call him for any future roofing service and highly recommend him to you.

At first, we were very impressed by how responsive the provider was, they were the first contractors we had come out to our house in regards to this issue. Once he complete his assessment, the provider told us the roof was a bad install and should be entirely replaced, even though we knew our roof was no more than 10 years old. The three subsequent contractors we had come to the house for the same job all agreed replacing the roof was not necessary and excessive. The other contractors gave us around a $400 estimate to do the repairs, compared to the estimate by this provider of 14K to redo to the roof or $800 to do the repairs. We will no longer consider using this provider in the future since we believe they were dishonest and unfair by pushing to upsell the roof repairs.
