+ -1 moreThey diagnosed my car to have an overheating problem yet I did not go in there with such a problem. After I paid for it to be sorted and they worked on that, I then couldn't get gas into my car. Something was now broken which I suspected was a sabotage. I would not use them again in the future.
Description of Work: They did an inspection on my car.

+ -1 moreThe whole project went very smoothly. I was having a systematic service done to my 2002 Subaru Outback. The gentleman at the service desk was extremely courteous. This is the second time I have needed car help and they charged less than their estimate. It was finished on time so I was very happy. I recommend stopping in to talk to them for an assessment. Very nice people! I will definitely be back soon.
Description of Work: Timing belt, water pump, thermostat replacement.

+ -1 moreThe service went well. Delivered on time and as promised. The only problem that I have with this shop is the traffic that passes the shop. If you pick your vehicle up after 400 pm or so, it is almost impossible to get into the shop and get back out. The people are very nice and professional.

Description of Work: In a nut shell, we repeatedly took our vehicle to them due to an overheating problem after the initial visit to replace hoses. They replaced the radiator and some other parts during this time. In the end when the vehicle continued to overheat it blew a head gasket. | |The vehicle was in operational for since our last visit with H&L until we could afford to replace the engine in April 2014. Come to find out that when they replaced the hoses during our initial visit they crimped the inlet to the heater core causing the coolant to leak and on our vehicle causing the radiator fan not to function. Basically, the entire source of our overheating and phantom coolant loss was due to them crimping the inlet pipe on the heater core. | |Probably didn't need the radiator or any or the other parts and now I get to spend another $900 on labor to replace the heater core.

The phone call with the estimate is always LESS than we expect, sometimes by hundreds of dollars. They have been in business over 50 years and the work they do is always top rate - we never have any problems. I cannot say enough good things about H & L.

+ -1 moreOnce again Tommy and his crew at H&L did a fantastic job! We have been taken our vehicles to them since 1985, never ever had a bad experience w/all our vehicles. I noticed spots on my driveway, had to add more and more oil and other fluids. The problem is fixed now, even faster than I had thought. I had taken a rental car for 2 days, returned it after one!
Description of Work: 1 Transm. filter, 5 quarts of oil, 1 Oilfilter, drain gasket, add transm. fluid.
