Repairman (Charlie) came the same day on which I called him. He replaced a part and charged me for the service call and part. Three days later the freezer again frosted over and the refrigerator did not cool. I called the repairman that same day. It took him a few days to even return my call. It appears that this repairman only responds promptly the first time because there is instant payment involved. I called several times before I finally received a response. It was then awhile before he actually came to my home to fix the problem. He gave several excuses that really were irrelevant to a customer. It was my contention that this was not a new service call but a follow up to the first one to deal with the fact that he had not corrected the problem. He installed another part and charged me another service fee. Three days later the refrigerator again would not cool properly because the freezer had once again frosted up. I had someone else look at it and it was discovered that some wires or cables had not been reconnected--apparently by Family Appliance during the first repair call! I was told that it was very doubtful that I had even needed the second part because the problem was the disconnected wires! I complained to Charlie at Family Appliance that he had failed to reconnected the wires in the freezer and that is why the refrigerator had frosted over again. I ask for a refund for the part and labor for the second service call. This unprofessional "repairman" called me a liar and refused to discuss the issue any longer with him. The next time I have an appliance issue similar to this, I will Google the problem and fix the thing myself before I would ever call this serviceman again! He is totally inept! It seems he simply keeps replacing parts until he hopefully finds the right one. He does not take responsibility when HE messes up.

I trouble shot the problem and told him what is was over the phone. I was told he could probably fix it on the spot. I asked how much is would cost on the phone and he told me we would discuss it once he arrived. I had the parts available and in accessable. He spray half a can of WD 40 on the fan and told me it was burned out. On the phone I told him the fan was not working. He charged a $40 service charge and left. I told him I have a hard time paying someone to tell me what I already explained to them on the phone. I called him and left a voice mail asking him not to cash the check until he actually performed a service for me. A few minutes later I recieved a call from a check cashing company asking to verify the amount. I verified the amount because it was the truth, but I still feel ripped off. In addition he told me he would track down the parts on Monday, he left without getting a model number or parts number from the original fan. Don't hire this guy.
