i purchased my condo in stewarts creek in april of 2002. since then i have paid over $3500.00 in special assesments for building maintenance. that does not include the monthly association dues that have increased from $85.00 monthly to $170.00. in the 7 years i have lived here, i have watched the building deteriorate. roofs leak (all the buildings need new roofs), siding rotting off the buildings, balconys almost falling down. tennis courts unusable. only one of the pools usable. when some of the balconys were replaced, mr evans allowed the contractors to dispose of the construction refuse to be dumped all over the property including into a waterway that runs through the property. oh and by the way we paid for proper disposal. there are approximately 240 units times $3500.00 for each unit over the past 7 years equates to over $800,000.00. this does not include the regular monthly dues. yet when we finally voted in a new board of directors in oct of 2008, there was no money left with no accountability comming from mr evans. so now i am living in a building with leaky roofs, mold damage, rotting siding, falling down balconys, ammenities that cant be used. as i watch my property values plummit, mr evans walks away fat dumb and happy.
