Description of Work: I wanted a double hung window putting in an outside wall of my house, He came over to estimate and spent a great deal of time telling me how good he was at decks. I wanted a window to match the size windows on the adjoining wall since both are visible from the street. Stated he understood and gave me a price, just under 900. I will give him this - there have been no leaks wackle in the here he had to cut out an outside wall and set the window. HOWEVER, 1) the window in smaller than the windows in the adjoining wall; 2) the outside trim he put up to match the others was pieced and cut short in two places, and 3) he cut the interior wall too wide so there was about 1 1/2 inches of space left on either side of the window in my living room. He said he was sorry and would repair the damage. All he did was put spackle in the openings and smooth it. These are textured walls so I had to rehang the drapes to cover his mistake and now can't change to the large plantation blinds that were my plannedf next addition. Although this isn't the work, I would add that I had a 2 year old lab at the time, very friendly, which Mr. Hassett had met and played around with. However, when I told the dog to sit and he didn't immediately obey, he forcefully grabbed the dog, forcing him to the ground and practically sat on him. It wasn't because he was afraid or intimidated, but rather Mr. Hassett seemed to feel the need to "better" the dog. He was grabbing at him so hard that he fell. Although I still have quite a bit of work to accomplish, I wouldn't let him work here for half his price again.

Description of Work: Darren Hassett does my electrical work, painting and is my general contractor. The last job he did for me was to put 5 canned lights in my ceiling. He also painted the ceiling where he put in the lights.

Description of Work: I have used Darren Hassett Carpentry for fourteen years. He does carpentry, painting, and lot of other things. He is building a fireplace for me and a book shelf from the ceiling to the floor. He is also putting a latter on the wheels to row back and forth from the ceiling to the floor. He is also putting hard wood flooring. He is building a beautiful wood dinosaur for me.
