Completed on time a little pricey.

Salesman was very arrogant, that should have been our first clue. He wanted an answer by the next morning. We were new in town and thought that because this was a big, well known company it was the best. Not so, it is the worst. In the contract the deck was supposed to have first grade wood and we were told that it would be built strong enough to support the weight of a hot tub. They used 2nd grade wood that was terrible, which we had them change and we still had to cover it with outdoor carpet because nails and splinters were popping up. When it was ready for the final inspection it did not pass, the girders in the deck floor did not have adequate support columns or footings. The central and outside girder next to the steps needed supports. The step configuraton does not provide any support. You couldn't touch the railing without getting splinters, so we ourselves covered the railing with composit decking. In the sunroom, they told us to choose the color of the paint. We went to the store of their choice, gave them the color and number. We were not home the day they painted. They decided to match the paint to the livingroom wall which was creamy white. It was supposed to be dark green. After nine coats of paint they finally got it right but they used flat paint and you cannot touch the walls without leaving white smears. They did not frame out the doorway right and that had to be changed. The ceiling was a mess, the gutters leaked and water poured down onto the windows which leaked too. We had to call them back to put up the crown moulding which they forgot to do. We were going to have them put a pool in for us but needless to say after seeing how they work we decided to go with another company.

This is not the company to call for pool work. As a widow I feel I was taken advantage of and received poor advice from this company and poor quality workmanship. I received estimates to repair pool walls that were deteriorating from paint peel off, and re-grout surrounding tile. Since their quote of approx 5500.00 to repaint was the cheapest of my options, I went with them. NOTE: the salesman sent out to give evaluate job and give estimates is not a pool expert. What my pool needed was re-plastering (I learned that after the fact) but painting was recommended by their salesman as a cheaper option with my budget. Their proposal was basically to spackle the deterioration and repaint. There were problems from beginning to end and I haven't listed all of them but for example, the spackle they used apparently wasn't mixed properly, cracked, and had to be removed and re-spackled with another product, etc.. Also, it was apparent that the people they contracted to do the painting and patching were not familiar with the process of applying epoxy paint and it showed in their prep work. I observed them prepping the walls differently than recommended by EVERY resource I researched on epoxy application They assured me it would be fine. Within one week of pool refill, paint was bubbling up and peeling off. I Called CHAPMAN WILSON to let them know and we agreed to deal with the issues at the end of season. After several dates of not showing up when scheduled throughout the fall and winter, they eventually came in early spring to drain pool. During the time the pool was drained the paint was bubbled up and peeling off throughout the whole pool surface. By this time I could not afford to start from scratch with a different company and I let them try to repair their work. Their solution was to hand-scrape and repaint. When I asked if sandblasting might not be more thorough, since new paint areas were continuing to peel daily, I was told that they couldn't do that. Then they wanted to paint with acrylic instead of epoxy, assuring me that there would be less problems and it would cover the epoxy. It's not as long lasting as epoxy but I said fine I just wanted to be done and doubted the same people could reapply the epoxy correctly a second time anyway. Near the end, the assistant boss made it sound as if I had a "freak pool" or problem pool that made the job difficult (really??) I also asked the owner about getting a partial refund due to the two year fiasco. He actually was rude to me, along with the receptionist when settling my bill for an highly overpriced pool filter motor (I know because I priced them) I definitely got the feeling I was their "problem child" and they just wanted me to go away. I learned a hard, expensive lesson. Get an actual pool expert with years of experience and positive references to do expensive pool work, not a home improvement company who uses a salesman to evaluate a job, and subcontracts the work out to other people. Oh, and within a month of the repair, the paint started peeling up again. I didn't even bother to contact them. I was more than done.

I liked that they would come out to the house and see what my needs were, make a plan, put a price on that plan, and make a contract with that plan at that price. I was very pleased with them.

After Tornado damaged our home and fences we called to get an estimate. I had also received estimates from 2 other contractors/businesses. CHAPMAN WILSON was WAY MORE EXPENSIVE! I had trouble getting in touch with the company salesman that gave us the initial estimate. I tried on several occasions to get them back out to discuss a few things before I made my final choice. The company took 2 weeks to return my calls! By then I already hired another company for almost $10,000.00 cheaper and the work they did was superb, using all top quality supplies and materials and the SUN ROOM they built for me was beautiful! Put it this way, I got my roof repaired, my privacy fence replaced, my metal fencing around my back yard replaced, 3 regular double paned windows with screens replaced plus a very large bay window with screens replaced and a lovely sun room with lovely multi-colored slate flooring from the company I finally chose > for the COST of what CHAPMAN WILSON wanted to charge me for the SUN ROOM 'ALONE'!!! Chapman Wilson also does pools and spa's and pool equipment. I had to replace my pool canister filter, I also got that from someone else and installed for around $400.00 CHEAPER than CHAPMAN WILSON! I always saw their commercials on TV and It looked like they did nice work. But I guess they pay for those commercials by over charging customers! I was also thinking about having them update my pool but after the way they ignored my calls, brushed me off and the high estimates. I am glad I found someone else!!! Oh I left them several messages on the company's answering machine to get back with me which were all ignored. So I called one last time and told them how unprofessional they were. I also stated that I was hiring someone else to do the job and guess what?! The OWNER of the company called me up and was rude and nasty to me! I guess I HURT HIS FEELINGS WHEN I SAID THEY WEREN'T 'PROFESSIONALS' & that I would make sure to let everyone I knew how badly they treated me and how OUTRAGEOUS THEIR PRICES WERE!!! I will NEVER EVER HIRE THEM OR RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!

I would recommend them. We were extremely happy.

I hired Chapman Wilson Pools, Spas & Home Improvements to install a new roof. They did not do a very good job I continued to have leaks after they completed the job. They were prompt but they still did not do a good job as the roof still leaked. I would not use them again and I would not recommend them.

On both, the estimate was high and when I mentioned that, it was reduced on the spot by 25% and then by phone another 25% (but was still higher than the other highest offers). Obviously this company is sales and not service oriented. Sigh... Reminds me of the 50's and tales of used car salsmen.

I thought they did a good job in general with everything. They were professional and quick. They were very accommodating with my time frame. They were here during the time that I was available to do work. They were able to do work on a Saturday which made my life much easier. With regard to quality, I guess time will tell. They were pretty good with responsiveness. I thought their price was pretty reasonable. I got some other quotes and they were the best I thought. They were here when they said they would be here and there were no issues. Their professionalism was very good. They cleaned up and there were no problems there. I will use their services again in the future.

I called to schedule an estimate. The owner got on the phone after my appointment was set to explain how the company works, how happy they are that I chose them, and how much they appreciate military families. I gave a specific time that I could be home after I was told that they give estimates until 7 pm. I was called at at 5:00 saying the estimator was on his way to my 6:30 appointment. I him that I did not get off until 5 and had to scramble to pick up kids, so 6:30 was my time. He got there at 6:45. He briefly looked at what I needed and told me that he would have to speak to thee department that handled it and would contact me in a couple of days. TWO WEEKS LATER.....I called and called and called the cell number he gave me. He finally picked up once I blocked my number. Then tells me he hadn't had time to get the estimate. I called the company and was told, "We have hundreds of customers, he will get to you as soon as he can." I asked to speak to the nice owner who had so much to say..NEVER HAPPENED! Three days later I received a call from the estimator for a quote of $7, 000 for siding on one side of my home and another $1900 to repair a section of the privacy fence (60 SF) that was tornado damaged. WHAT IN THE WORLD! BYE BYE BABY!

They called us back right away and made an appointment right away. They were right on time, took all the time we needed to answer questions, and explain everything. The cost was too high for us, which is why we didn't go with them, otherwise everything would've been fine. It seemed llike they were around $500 to $1000 more than the previous companies we had talked to.

salesman came to home , looked over the windows, gave me a quote. i checked other companies and chapman-wilson were comparable or cheaper. they ordered windows and gave me a date to do the work, they were here at the assigned time and completed work that day. did a good solid job and cleaned up beautifuly and showed me how windows worked and gave me a year labor warranty and lifetime warranty on windows.

the experience absolutely amazing. they were very professional and courteous and a real pleasure to have around. the whole experience was much better than i expected. would highly recommend them to others.

We did not go with Chapman-Wilson as their quotes were exorbitant.

They sent a salesperson instead of a pool expert. He attempted to add a bunch of additional services like pressure tresting the pipes and filter, even though we just needed a new liner. At that time they contracted the sale to a differant pool company and kept the profit. Their quote was double the other pool person we called and had replace the liner. The salesman could not answer many of our questions and we told the person on the phone when we made the appointment that we needed a pool person (not a salesman) because of potential legal problems with the previous house's owner. If I was shopping for someone to perform work, I would not even bother getting a price quote from this company.

Job was and is still not complete.. Leaks in the same areas... Simply will not call them back!
