The job went smoothly: on schedule, and without complication or delay. Mr. Grillo came when he said he would come, did what he said he would do in the manner he said he would do it, and worked surely and quickly. He demonstrated knowledge and expertise. He was confident in his knowledge and ability and willing to tell me that something I was suggesting would not be wise. However, he was agreeable and helpful in making requested changes when they were feasible. He arranged for me to work directly with the tile company, as I wished to, in choosing my tile--with him approving as needed and selecting when necessary. He handled all pick up and transportation of the tile. Along with several other men, Mr. Grillo was recommended to me. Of the other two men that I called, one did not respond and one was charming, but hard to nail down to specifics and a schedule, and his estimate was higher. Mr. Grillo responded promptly and was courteous, concise, and to the point: about the work, the arrangements, and the cost. The carpenter, who is very experienced in home repair, gave him a "thumbs up."
