Read above. Trojan virus never found or removed by this company. Waste of time and money.
Description of Work: Temporarily fixed the problem. Problem occurred aga in a couple days later and it was a charge to come back out and evaluate, fix, and repair.

There are 6 computer stores on Yadkin rd, are you sure this is the right store? I tried to look up your name but it is not in our system. Can you provide the name you used at check in so i can read the notes please. My name is Lynn Hutson, i'm the owner and the only one that does service calls. You stated there was a charge to come back out and evaluate it, so was this a home/business service call or did you drop it off at the store? I do not remember discussing any service call issues with anyone. If the virus was removed for a couple of days then we did our job. If it came back, that is because of the users browsing habits or opening/re opening an infected email. We offer two virus removal scenarios. If it isnt badly infected, and depending on the virus type, and it is removable, we charge $70. If it is too badly infected, or certain viruses, we would have to re-install windows which is $130. That completely formats the drive and removes any and all viruses as well as fixes any damage caused by the virus. If this is what you paid, then i can guarantee that we removed any and all viruses 100% If they came back, that's a users fault. If we did the $70 fix, then that is a little different. With that fix, we guarantee we remove all viruses our 6 different scanners find. If it's a virus that isnt found by any virus/spyware/malware scanner, then we dont know it's there. If the system is still running badly after the scanners and removals, then the $70 fix wasn't successful. At that time we recommend the $130 fix. But If it worked fine for a few days, like you stated, then the original virus was removed. There is a possibility that the backdoor the virus used to get in your system, whether adobe flash exploit, or java exploit, is still there and re-infection could be more likely.There is no way of knowing for sure though because there are hundreds of thousands of possible exploits. If visiting a certain website caused the first virus, and you visit the same website again, you might get infected again. If we charged the $70, we always explain that if you have anymore problems in the next few days or up to a week, return and we will credit you the $70 towards the $130 fix, which fixes any and all damage done by any and all viruses. If the $70 is what you paid for, we will still credit you that $70 towards the $130 fix. With that we will back everything up, all of your data (music, pictures, documents, favorites. etc) wipe the hard drive clean, re-install windows from scratch, do all windows updates, do all java and adobe updates, install anti virus software and all the programs necessary to use a computer. Basically set it up like a new system. We scan your backup data a second time before transferring back to your system. That is the only 100% way of getting all viruses removed. And again would you please tell me the name you used to check in so i can read the notes and follow up. We don't have a Borton in our system Thank you.
