We had dealt with this AC company one time previously for a routine visit and freon charge and he was fine that time. This last time, we called our home warranty company to have a technician sent to investigate a small leak coming from our AC. They sent Kevin from Atlantic. He looked at the unit and said there was a crack in the primary pan and that the second pan was rusty and leaking. He said this had been going on for years and that he would report back to the home warranty company about what to do. He didn't do or recommend anything else. He told me it was fine to keep running the unit for a few days while we figure out what to do, and that it would keep dripping a bit but that it was not a concern. As a result, I didn't touch the thermostat. Two days later, water was pouring into our hallway. I turned off the AC and I called Atlantic to ask why the leak had suddenly become so much worse and whether I should be concerned about electrocution from the unit. He immediately became defensive and said any damage was my fault for running the AC. Kevin's attitude has been aggressive, antagonistic, and defensive all the way through. He has accused me of lying and is trying to say that he turned the unit off and that I defiantly turned it on against his advice. My husband tried to call and reason with him and he told him that I was lying to him. This guy is the worst. I never would have gone against his advice if he had said that continuing to run the unit posed any risk of causing this type of damage. The leak that we had previously to calling him was very minor, leaving a small faint water stain the size of a half dollar. After We wanted to talk to him reasonably about what happened without pointing blame and he has been rude and belligerent the whole way through. I would never recommend someone who conducts themselves and their business this way to anyone. There are much better AC companies in Fayetteville. I would never trust this man near my house again considering how rudely, dishonestly, and negligently he has conducted himself.
