I requested pool cleaning services for my mother-in-law. They were great at first, they called and set up an appointment to go out to the house. They never showed but, told me they attempted to call prior to the appointment with no answer. When in fact they didn't call until 7 1/2 hours past the scheduled appointment. My mother-in-law waited all day for them and when the service reestablished contact the secretary got an attitude and blamed my mother-in-law.

It did not go well at all, I would not recommend them to anybody. There was one week they didn't come and claimed they cleaned it and charged me. There was trash at the bottom of the pool every day of the week.
Description of Work: Aquapoint Pool Service cleaned my every week.

I had hired this company last year to service my pool. They started out doing a terrific job and the pool was very clean. It was clean on a weekly basis. In March of 2012, my husband and I went on a two week vacation and when we came back the water level was low and you could hear the filter stressing because of not having enough water. There was also quite a bit of pollen of my pool steps. I thought this strange considering at this time of year my pool was to be serviced every other week. I wrote them an email expressing my concern over the situation. I never really got an explanation from them. In May of this year when my lawn guy came to cut my yard he got quite a bit of grass and the pool. You could actually see clumps of it at the bottom of the pool. Since I did not know the day the pool people came, I checked my pool every night when I got home to see if it had been cleaned. After week I called the company and stated I did not expect to be charged for that week since it had not been cleaned. I explained to both husband and wife this was not the case because I had been checking my pool every night and had pictures to show the same piles of grass were in my pool every night. So we parted company over the phone and they still had the nerve to send me a bill for work they did not do. So if you hire them I would make sure you check their work.
Description of Work: Started out doing weekly service on my pool by cleaning it then in the winter it went to bi-weekly.

I was a reluctant pool owner (it came with the house) and struggled with managing my pool on my own for two years. When I finally called Aquapoint it was a huge relief. They were extremely knowledgeable, dependable, responsive, and courteous. My pool was always clean and the pH right -- I didn't have to wait to use the pool because it had too much or too little chlorine. When I had a hose leak, they came right away. Last summer the pool kept losing water and they came daily until they located the problem in the sand filter, and promptly found me a good used filter to replace it with. They found cost effective solutions to my problems. Others in the neighborhood commented on what a great job they did.
Description of Work: They did the opening and closing, performed weekly maintenance (cleaning, balancing the chemicals), came within hours of any problems and performed repairs in a cost-effective manner. [I did not include the cost because multiple services were performed]

We purchased a new sand filter for our pool and could not get it to work. We called Aquapoint to see if they could help. They were VERY nice over the telephone and were able to come first thing the next day. (In fact, they had offered to come late the same day, but we were not going to be home, so we asked when they would next be able to come.) They arrived right on time and were incredibly nice. They helped determine that we had the wrong media in our filter and then at our request removed that media and replaced it with the proper sand. They very diligently cleaned their work area and everything that got messy, even when I said I didn't mind cleaning it up. They also helped us evaluate the proper way for our particular filter to be connected to our pool. During the course of all the work, they offered us many helpful hints on maintaining our pool! And they never made us feel bad for having used the wrong product. Also, they only charged me for 1 hour of service, plus the sand, when I am pretty sure they were here about a half more than that.
Description of Work: Diagnose problem with sand pool filter. Remove incorrect media from filter. Clean filter. Filled filter with proper sand. Assisted in knowledge of how to properly install sand filter.
