Very well

I used them because they were the ones that happened to be in the neighborhood. This was a result of the previous tornados we had. I was satisfied with their work. It was very good. I hired them because they had the equipment and the people. I will use them again in the future if I could get a hold of them because they are not from this area.

The owner came and did an estimate for me, very professional. Low estimate, excellent work. Never could tell they were even here.

I requested an estimate for tree removal from my home. American Tree was able to give me a written estimate that same day. I agreed to the estimate which was for the removal of about a dozen trees of various sizes to include stump removal. Also had several of my trees trimmed. Service also removed all debris. One of the trees was large and very close to my house. The work was precise. The workers were punctual, professional and worked all day to finish the job. I am satisfied with the work and I would definitely use American Tree and Stump Removal again.

After seeing American Tree and Stump on Angies list, I called Michael and he came out the next day for an estimate. He showed up on time and gave me a reasonable estimate ($850.00), about 1/3 less than another company that had done some for me work 2 years ago. I mentioned some old stumps in the back yard and he said they could grind them also once they showed up. Michael was very professional and did not pressure at all. I called him 2 days later and he agreed to come out within 3 weeks was OK since I was in no hurry. His crew showed up and it was very impressive to see them go to work. Must have been 7 men and 5 trucks. They took one tree down and then their chipper broke so they cleaned up and came back in a few days for the other 2 trees. They also ground 3 stumps in the back for $100.00. From initial meeting with Michael to end of job, this was a good experience and I would reccommend them anytime. His crew forman, Jay, was very professional at all times and his crew was busy all the time.

I called two tree service companies to obtain an estimate to do the work. I knew the job wouldn't be easy because all but two of the trees were located in spots inaccessible to heavy machinery and to make matters more challenging every tree was in a bed of my wife's precious plants and flowers so just cutting and dropping limbs wouldn't do. Every limb cut would have to be gently lowered away from the tree and hauled off. Michael Blight, owner of American Tree and Stump Removal, provided a very reasonable quote and could start the very next day so I gave him the work without waiting for the second quote. True to his word he showed up at 8AM with a crew of six and quite an impressive fleet of tree servicing vehicles. For a day we owned the block! His crew went right to work and what a sight to see....six workers all on the same sheet of music climbing, cutting, lowering, hauling, chipping, raking,.....and nary a twig snapped or plant damaged in my wife's garden beds! In fact when they were done you couldn't tell they had been there, except of course for the removed trees! We were so impressed by the quality of their work and their skill and professionalism that we asked them to limb up the lower branches of four other large pine trees while they were there. Again the job was done with impressive results. If you want the job done right the first time call American Tree and Stump Removal!

I called American Tree and Stump for an estimate on the above work. Left a voice mail message and had the call returned the next business day in the morning. Wanted to schedule the estimate for the following Monday; however, the owner was in the area that day and came out. Was told he would arrive at 1630 and ended up coming early at 1430. I work night shift and had to meet him in pj's. Would have liked a warning phone call so I could pick up the house and get dressed. Walked the front yard and back yard and informed me of the plan of work. Presented a legible estimate with all work detailed. Showed me certification cards and insurance information without prompting. Estimate for above work was $3240.00. Very high; however, the trees that need to be removed are in a very tight spot to have equipment brought in. Can be scheduled to do work one to two months out.

I called Mr. Blight and asked him if he would be willing to trim a small plum tree I had in my back yard. He said that it would cost $100.00 just for him to come over to look at it, but that amount could be applied to the job. He then stated that the minimum price for any job was $250.00. I told him that I just had a 6ft Plum tree and that I felt $250.00 was extreme to trim a couple of branches. He then said that he would charge $150.00 if I could put the waste at my curb for the city garbage service. I told him that there should be little waste and told him that I would be willing to spend $150.00 because I wanted it done correctly and I knew little about tree trimming. He then said he would call me back, but never did.

A large pine in my back yard fell during a violent storm. I called Michael Blight of American tree because he had done good work for me two other times. He couldn't promise to get a crew out the day I called but he came to see what needed to be done and give an estimate. He said he'd try to have them come by that day if they finished their current job but didn't think that would be likely. He called the next morning and said they could be there by 12 or 12:30. They showed up and had the job done in about a half hour. The crew was polite, efficient, and competent.
