American Flag Storage

I have had a storage facility here since FEB of 2011. I went to retrieve my items which included various military memorabilia from various units, and water had gotten into my storage unit (H146); it was at the cusp of where an overhang drops down to the next level. It damaged a number of my military plaques and some paintings, things that cannot be replaced. When I asked if there is any compensation for this, the answer was no. I don't mind cleaning the basic mildew off of my things, and understanding that it was not an evironmentally controlled unit I knew there were risks (as outlined in their lease agreement). But as opposed to dealing with the damages made to my property, the management seemed more concerned with how they were going to deal with how this issue affects the entire building. I have to say that I was pretty bereft that a painting one of my soldiers had done for me got mildewed and damaged, but all the management can do is wring their hands about how they don't know how they are going to take care of this issue? I have no recourse but to give them an "F' rating for the services provided; their worker bees are extremely kind and pleasant to deal with. And don't be late on a payment; my auto-bill pay turned off and I received notification that they were going to cut my lock within 5-10 days for auction; this happened once while during my lease period. I would hate to think of a poor Solider who (for whatever reason) is late with their bills but is deployed and cannot deal with the situation and then has to contend with his furniture or military gear being auctioned off. I would have thought that there would be some sort of law against this (i.e. ensuring proper notificaiton), but I guess that's why we have "Storage Wars" to watch every night.
