First of all, they were highly recommended by several people at Haire Plumbing & Mechanical, where I work, both for personal, residential work, as well as for our company. From my initial call to a very nice lady in their office, to receiving the bill for their services, this was a great experience. The Service Manager, Mr. Donnie Lowder, responded quickly to our request, and took the time to come to our home the same day we spoke, in order to evaluate our needs and give us an estimate. He was very professional, knowledgeable, obviously experienced, and just the nicest person! He inspected our electrical panel and all of the elements necessary to complete the work, as well as advising us on how to ensure it was done correctly, and up to Code. Their electrician/technician, Mr. Mike Autry, was scheduled almost immediately to do the work. Mike did a great job, and made the looooong crawl, the length of our house, from our access door to our utility room on the opposite end of the house to inspect the wiring and make sure it was done right. He then went the extra mile and made sure the wires were run and hidden inside the wall and properly wired into our electrical panel. (Unlike the wiring done by our home’s previous owner!) His workmanship was fantastic. Also, even though it was a tiny job in the grand scheme of things, Donnie came right over and Mike was scheduled only a day or so later! That was fast, and much appreciated. The icing on the cake though, was the bill for their service…it was about half of what we were expecting. In a nutshell, fast service, excellent workmanship, nice people, and fantastic value at a great price. You can be sure that I will be using Allman Electric for all of our electrical needs, and recommending them to all of our friends, family, as well as our customers at Haire Plumbing! Thank you again!
Description of Work: Inspect our residential electrical panel and install/connect a new, dedicated, 30-amp, GFCI outlet for a new whirlpool tub, as part of an extensive bathroom renovation necessitated by the failure of a water pipe in the wall between our bathrooms!

We had a circuit breaker that kept tripping when we used our clothes dryer. Then, the electricity to that zone of the house went out completely and we couldn't get the circuit breaker to reset. I called in the late afternoon (4:30 p.m.) to ask about scheduling an electrician. A pleasant, professional, caring, and knowledgeable woman answered the phone immediately. We discussed whether the problem might be a fire hazard and whether I needed someone to come right away, or whether I could wait until the following day. She gave me the number of the electrician so that I could ask him about whether our problem might be a fire hazard. He was in the middle of another repair when I called him, but he took the time to talk to me. He said he could come that night or the following day. I scheduled a time for the following day and he gave me instructions on what to do to make sure the electricity was disconnected from the problem zone to prevent any possible hazards. He showed up on time the following morning at 9:30 a.m. He did a thorough check of the circuit breakers, electrical panels and dryer connections. He was knowledgeable, professional. friendly, efficient, and helpful. From the first phone call to waving goodbye to the electrician in our driveway, we were very pleased. Surprisingly pleased since we have not had that many good experiences with repair or service people in our area. We will definitely call Allman Electrical Corp again if we ever have any electrical needs.
Description of Work: Replaced a circuit breaker, checked and repaired wire connections to clothes dryers, tightened and repaired electrical wire, found and repaired a loose wire in the water pump circuit breaker, replaced sub panel main breaker.

The two man crew argued with one another during their work inside my home. They caused cosmetic damage to my drywall and baseboard and left it for me to repair. After removing the mailbox, they were unable to relocate it because they didn’t have a necessary piece of equipment. They then replaced the mailbox without bothering to straighten it. The invoice was incorrectly totaled in the company’s favor. I was charged for 4 hours labor at $65/hour when the crew was here for 3 hours and told the extra hour was for travel time. Thus I questioned the $55 service call for which I was told was to cover the trip made to my home to provide the estimate. I will NEVER hire this company again!
Description of Work: Relocated a Rinnai water heater control panel, installed an additional light switch, and attempted to relocate a lighted mailbox.

On June 11 th I called to schedule for an electrical outlet to be installed. They said the technician would be there on June 14 th and we would receive a call to confirm the time. Now, on June 19 th I called them to see what the issue was and I’m told the person who was suppose to call me was now on vacation. No one from the office called to let us know this and now they are saying they can try to get to it next week. The problem they created is another contractor has been scheduled for next week and the outlet needs to be in place at that time. At a cost of $55 for just showing up and $40 per hour plus materials I would expect them to keep a scheduled appointment but I guess they are too busy to let a customer know they would not be able to make a scheduled appointment. We ended up calling another highly rated company who is now scheduled to do the work tomorrow.
Description of Work: Suppose to install an electrical outlet.

Technician arrived promptly. Homeowner concerned that job would require two people, one to support the new fixture being installed, assist with taking down and removal of fixtures. [Homeowner had recent shoulder surgery and had informed company before sending someone out that he would not be able to assist which did not seem to be a problem and actually wasn't.] One of the fixtures did not have the bulbs enclosed with it. Technician very patient while homeowner searched house for required bulbs which technician installed and finished mounting fixture to ceiling. Used this same company about a year ago and the same technician performed service call. Very satisfied both times.
Description of Work: Replaced two lights in kitchen with new fixtures and lights. Replaced light in foyer with a new fixture and light. Checked 8-ft fluorescent in garage for proper wiring. Cleaned up after self.
