Bottom Line Up Front: Andrew and ADCON are a nice group of guys who do marginal work. Their estimates are unreliable and they are hit-or-miss on follow-ups if there are problems with their work. Finishing drywall and painting are not strong points. After receiving a recommendation for his services from a mutual friend, we discussed building the edition on my house. I was truly pleased with his price and his willingness to work with my wife and I on certain aspects of the project in order to keep costs low. I obtained all the necessary permits and construction began. Unfortunately, I deployed to Iraq and could oversee the project from start to finish. During the course of construction, it became apparent that Andrew underestimated the cost of most phases of his work. Also, he took a number of other jobs while working on our project which distracted him and lengthened the time required to finish his work. The structure is sound, but the finishing, including the ceiling and walls, was completed in a shoddy manner and it shows. They had to redo the ceiling less than 5 months after it was complete because it was cracking and disintegrating all over the floor. They attempted to refinish some of the cracks in the drywall seams, but did a shoddy job. The room is complete, but the minor issues with drywall finishing, the ceiling, and paint remain. Also, I've asked them to contact me with some information pertinent to my project and they have basically ignored me -- very frustrating.
Description of Work: Andrew and his guys (ADCON Construction) built an edition on my home. The edition was approximately 300 square feet, replacing a screened-in porch on the back of the house. His services included general contracting, project management, and construction. Although we provided some of the materials for the job, Andrew sourced most of the materials himself.
