Friday and Monday the contractor "A Better Choice" repaired the siding and molding on the chimney. He did a horrible job. The chimney siding and molding was rotten, when he took off the siding and molding the 2x4 framing of the chimney was also rotten the molding and siding was fixed but not the framing. He covered the rotten wood with new siding and molding. Painted but didn't mask the siding when he painted the molding white. There are spilt paint drops and places where workers had wiped their fingers on the deck hand rail. Nails in the deck handrail were bent over rather than driven completely into the wood. The flaking paint on molding around the front bedroom window was repainted but he also spilt paint on the brick there, and left the window screen on grass in the front yard. The contractor came this afternoon and raked some of their mess into your trash can, but left a paint bucket, scrap wood, and insulation in the yard and a sawdust pile on the deck. The tennant also reported that one of the workers defecated behind the back shed.
Description of Work: They were hired to repair siding and paint on a rental property.

My porch needed some attention as the wood was beginning to come apart and cracking and the paint was fading. The wood filler he used (I believe now to be caulk and not actual wood filler) came through the paint and is cracking and quite honestly looks as if a child did it. The paint is chipping in several places and has what appears to be swirl marks in several areas that will not go away. Any footprint or touch on the wood stays there. He did not prime it because he says you dont need to prime outdoor paint and he did not seal it. He used old paint and possibly mixed 2 kinds of paint together. After one month it looks as if I need to refurbish places already. I called him and told him and after another month he finally comes but only repaints it, does not fixed the cracked paint on the post from the wood filler, does not sand it down and start over but just paints right over it and now it looks worse than before. And this time he gets over-paint on the exterior wall of the home, I guess from where he was rushing and the roller just hit the walls. Now he will not return any of my calls. I do not recommend him for anything having to do with paint or construction of any kind. His work is inferior and he will not stand behind it. I have also caught him in several lies concerning the materials used and what was actually done. The porch looks as bad today as before he touched it. When they replaced the mailbox and post they cut the time warner cable line causing the entire culdesac to be out and the mailbox is crooked and the concrete wasnt done properly so grass will never grow in that whole area again! Please beware this company changed their name from JSJ Home Improvements in an effort to fool people!!!!! It is the same owner and company as before with the same poor and sloppy work, who will not stand behind it!
Description of Work: Deck/porch refurbishing, wood fill in, and paint.Replaced the mailbox and post
