"I contacted KitchenTuneUp/BathTune-Up to get an estimate to remodel my master bathroom and kitchen. Tom Taube came to my home and listened to what I disliked about the current spaces. We discussed ways to make a bigger shower and gain more storage space in the bathroom. In the kitchen, I had dark cabinets I wanted to update but stay affordable. I also wanted to keep my granite countertops. I disliked my "closet" pantry. I received very comprehensive proposals listing out not just what labor was to be performed but also budgeted items for materials so that I would have a full understanding of how much the remodels would actually cost me. I started these remodels right before the pandemic started in March of 2020. And even though there were a few delays caused by the virus, my projects went very smoothly. I was provided an online schedule of activities so that I would know who was coming and what they were doing (when my dumpster would arrive, drywalling, plumbing work, painting, tiling work, etc.). I liked that there was a final walkthrough before final payment was made so that I could address any issues I saw after the work had been completed. I love my new bathroom and kitchen now (after 20 years of hating them). I find that the bathroom is part of my sanctuary to relax and renew myself. My kitchen is now updated and beautiful with exceptional storage. I no longer have to store appliances and dishes in my bedroom closets. Bathroom: $37,000 (new shower, freestanding tub with tub filler, new vanity with new countertop, fixtures and sinks, new toilet, new cabinet over toilet); Kitchen $30,000 (cabinet redoor with box painting and new cabinets along with a custom island to house a drawer microwave). I was so impressed with the company, its employees and craftmanship, after being offered a position with them in 2021 as a sales rep for bathrooms, I am a happy employee now creating happy customers."

"LVP looks great and tile in the kitchen look great but the trim and baseboards were not finished and I had to have another contractor come in and install them. The stairwell was sanded and stained and I was told they could match the stain for the stairs to the LVP and that wasn’t true either. The stairs came out pink. Now I’m having another contractor come in and fix. I would not recommend to a friend."

The crew from Tier 1 did a fantastic job replacing our entire roof, and even went the second mile by helping us deal with some rotting issues that were discovered during their work with us. We were not only pleased with the roof replacement, we can't say enough about the clean-up job done by Tier 1 after the roof replacement. Sometimes contractors don't do a great job cleaning up around the home after work has been done, but Tier 1 made sure everything around the house was cleaned up and neat before they departed. "We contracted with Ed Griffith and his Cabinet Guys to remodel our kitchen in Dec 2019 - Jan 2020. The process and results were outstanding! While researching various contractors / remodelers, we wondered if Ed and his team could be as good as his 5-star reviews, but we were very impressed from our first meeting. Ed's craftmanship and precision were evident throughout the remodel. In the beginning, he explained that his team hand makes the cabinets for our desired kitchen footprint, guides us to choose the cabinet door design, tells us various places to shop for stone ( we chose quartz) for the countertop & island, and places to shop for backsplash tile. From looking at HGTV shows, we expected "demo day" to be a dusty, loud, and messy experience, but there was no mess at all. Ed and his team carefully dismantled the cabinets so that they could be donated to a charity. After every day of the process, Ed or his tradesmen cleaned up the kitchen area and the garage area (the staging area). It was particularly dusty when the stone was cut onsite for the kitchen sink and stovetop, but his workmen not only vacuumed the floors, they wiped the kitchen floor with cloths. Every tradesman (electricians, plumbers, stone workers, etc.) was excellent, and all of them had high praise for Ed. There were a few "surprises" (such as our walls and bar wall aren't perfectly straight), but Ed always knew how to handle the situation. We liked the fact that he was always calm and knowledgeable on every subject. In conclusion, the results were better than we expected. For example, we didn't expect that the inside of each cabinet door had a similar design to what was on the front side. We also didn't expect that the sides of the island and the bar wall would have a nice design. We also didn't expect that Ed and his team would vacuum and wipe out every drawer to minimize our cleanup effort. We highly recommend Ed for any remodeling need, and we plan to use his services in the future."

"We had no idea who to call and ended up calling 5 or 6 companies who never called us back or sent us quotes after coming out to assess our needs. We had a flood originating from an upstairs bathroom sink and had damage to two floors of the home. Upstairs and downstairs. All the carpet had to be removed, ducts to be insulated and wrapped, drywall needing repair, and an entire hall bathroom retire after pulling out the cabinet that was damaged. Somehow I ended up finding New Idea and called with desperation. We couldn't get the insurance company to help us and felt like we were just another claim ignored. Shannon and Mike showed up and immediately put us at ease. They handled communication with the insurance company, walked us through the repair plan, and assured us we would be get through this after two months of feeling like giving up. Shannon and Mike went above and beyond what any other contractor would have done. They treated us like family and made sure our repairs were completed correctly and in a timely manner. If you are looking for a contractor, stop right here. You've found one. We'd have been lost without them and we cannot say enough about their honestly, reliability, and professionalism. They really did treat us like family and we are forever grateful for everything they did for us."
