Description of Work: I was very pleased with John's work, servicing my computer. When I gave it to him, it was not working....freezing up all the time...it needed to be cleaned out and some of the software needed to be updated. The problem was diagnosed at my house on a Friday....computer was returned on Monday, in total very good working condition...on a scale of 1-10, I would definitely give John an overall '10' rating for everything he did (and he is a really nice guy, too!)

John is an absolute treasure and finding him was a relief. I was getting spotty results using other providers for issues with my iMac and iPad, but John always gets to the trouble and comes up with solutions quickly. I now call him regularly when the computer needs a tune-up or if I am considering an upgrade to the operating system. He is always responsive and extremely pleasant to deal with.

John fit me in quickly to get my computer upgraded for work. He did not just upgrade it but spent time making sure older programs were upgraded or removed that would have caused problems. He also made sure I was able to open everything before I left. He made sure I was aware of changes with the upgrades.

Outstanding! My initial call was returned promptly and I could tell right away that John knows his stuff. He asked all the right questions, immediately got important information about the computer, made his recommendations, and set up an appointment for service. He was punctual to the appointment and extremely polite and professional. He did something that many so-called computer pros fail to do - he checked to see which of the applications I use might have compatibility problems with the new operating system and discussed how those would be handled. This was really critical to me - there is nothing more frustrating than trying to use a relied-upon program only to find out that it doesn't work anymore. The computer was returned to me the next day and John did a demo of the major changes and tested the applications that he thought might be a problem. He set up the trackpad and showed me how to use it, discussed how best to maintain the computer, etc. MacWorks will definitely be my computer service company from now on and I would not hesitate to recommend this company to any Mac user.

John is intelligent, creative, funny, and a real problem solver. If you are in the least bit technical, he allows you to participate in whatever he's doing, which is great because you learn as he works. John is intuitive and he uses deductive reasoning. He doesn't give up until a problem is solved. It reminds me of what a co-worker once said, "the one who solves the problem is the one who cares!" I should also note that John provided emergency assistance because of "gremlins" (user error?) . . . who knows? Anyway, the point is that he was responsive.
Description of Work: John helped us set up: 1) a new home network 2) a webcam 3) an Airport Express stereo system (so that we can play music from our iTunes library on an old Nakamichi in another room of the house, 4) and Netflix streaming. And that was just the latest visit!
