+ -1 moreThe tub and shower came out fine and owner was punctual and completed job as stated. During the process the owner broke a waterline to the tub and had to call a plumber to repair. The owner accepted responsibility for the damage and indicated he would deal with the plumbing cost. The repair took three days and two weeks later I received a bill from the plumber for over $500. Advanced was contacted and indicated they were not responsible and would not pay the bill, even though the plumber stated they had indicated they were and that I received the bill in error. I have ended up paying the plumber and Advanced for the job, effectively costing me double from the original estimate.

+ 0 moreDon't call anyone else for this job. Save your effort and time. You will not find better. Conrad's work is quite simply impeccable. You will not believe the difference in your room and to say it's worth it ~ is to minimize the results. It will transform the space. He is neat, tidy, perfection based thoroughly pleasant and I would hire him again in a heartbeat and feel fortunate.
Description of Work: I am the proud owner of a 1951 house we purchased in 1951 and I love its every nook and crannies except the horrible middle bathroom which was a bizarre shade of seafoam green in both the tub and sink and to add insult to injury the crown tile was an even worse avocado green. Heinous would not be too strong a word. We purchased the house in 2000 and changing it at that time was really not an option. My friend came for my birthday and I mentioned hating the bathroom. She said, "change it." With those 2 words, I began my search on Angie's list. I found Conrad at Advanced Bathtub and Tile....actually, he'd done some work for us years earlier at our bed and breakfast inn in Montford. We called him after finding him again on Angie's list and already knew the quality of his work. My bathroom looks like a place I don't even recognize. There was a small crack in the tile above the bathroom sink but save that, the tile, though installed lo those many years ago, was flawless. Conrad has completely transformed my bathroom. He did the tub, the sink and the bathroom walls in Kohler white and to say I am amazed would be an understatement. Conrad is a rare breed. He is careful, precise, neat, focused and his work is absolutely outstanding. Even having seen the work he'd done at our inn, I would have to have seen this bathroom to believe the change in it. This eyesore room (you must believe me when I say this, it was something even a Mother would have had a hard time loving this room)~ Conrad has worked his magic in there and the results are fantastic!

+ -1 moreThis is our first experience with glazing a tub. We frankly did not know what had to be done or how it would be accomplished. I found Advanced Bathtub and Tile Refinishing online and on Angie’s list. The owner Conrad Goss and his assistant Casey just left my home. They converted two 37 year old fiberglass beige tubs to brand new white tubs. The results are amazing and we are extremely pleased. In addition, prior to this day, we spoke with Conrad who explained exactly what was to be done. We made an appointment and Conrad was right on time for the 2 days he worked on my project. He and Casey are very honest, polite, professional, help in any way and work from the minute they arrived right through the day. No fooling around - all attention to the jobs at hand and the results show. In a word PERFECT!!! If you are considering having your tub or tile reglazed or refinished- look no more. Description of Work: Conrad was the ultimate professional! His work is excellent and he is a perfectionist. After repainting our bathtub and tile, I couldn't believe how fresh the bathroom looked. I highly recommend Advanced Tub and Tile. It's the best in Asheville!

+ -1 moreEven with 12 inches of snow, bad roads and a bitterly cold morning, and having to travel at least 30 miles, Conrad and his co-worker arrived on time, ready to go to work. The job was supposed to take four hours but because the tub had been badly refinished years prior it actually took six hours to complete the job. They did a super job far exceeding our highest expectations. The new tub is beautiful and truly looks brand new. They were very professional and used great care and took obvious pride in their work. The final price was exactly as originally quoted even though the job took longer than expected. Overall this has probably been the best service I have ever had from any provider at any time. I would never have known about these guys were it not for Angie's List. I joined just so I could find someone trusted to do this particular job. I am grateful for Conrad as well as Angie's List. Dave

We are now starting to update our guest bathroom and, without hesitation, we called Conrad to transform our weird gold/beige 1989 bath/tub stall to a updated bathroom. Conrad is prompt and professional. Don't hesitate to use him, I think you will be pleased. We sure were.

He accidentally ran over one of our driveway lights and sent his assistant out to buy a new one to replace it before they left. The job was done fastidiously and as described. Both men were very courteous and the job was done exactly as described, down to how long it would take for the fumes to dissipate.

+ 0 moreFor this job ..... as well as for all my prior experiences with hiring Conrad...Advanced Bathtub and Tille Refinishing ROCKS! He has always responded promptly. " " " been exactly on time. " " " done an A +++ job. " " " given me all the possibilities as to what can be done. He did not even increase his price on this job when the glue turned into floor leveler compound and more work and material was required. Conrad is an honest, hard-working business owner with a sense of humor who really knows his stuff when it comes to tub and tile updates. I wouldn't call anyone else. Ever.
Description of Work: Conrad and his long time crew member were able to strip away TWO long glued layers of vinyl flooring in our main bathroom, exposing the beautiful 1950's subway tiles. I have also used this company (this person..Conrad Gass) for half a dozen bathtub refinishing over the years at our rental units.

+ -1 moreConrad Goss is a terrific person to work with. He had a cancellation for the day after I contacted him so the job was completed right away. He and his very hard-working assistant showed up exactly when he said they would, did an outstanding job of restoring the old bathtub, cleaned up everything and the job was done in about 26 hours. I bought the wrong replacement parts for the fixtures so Conrad even restored the original metal back plate with polishing compound. He has decades of experience in this business so is a real expert. After seeing the outstanding results of his work I don't understand why anyone would spend thousands more to replace a tub or get it covered by another method. Even if all you need is to change a hideous color, it would be worth every penny to have Conrad refinish it. I can't recommend this company highly enough!

The renovated older tub looks so good it is making the rest of the bathroom look dingy! And the chips and nick on the newer tub are invisible. Was cordial, responsive, and did excellent work. His colleague who did some of the prep work ahead of time was also excellent.
Description of Work: Repaired two bathtubs: one acrylic tub had two large chips on the edge and a nick on the side. The other was an older tub (probably 40+ years) that he completely refinished.

+ 0 moreConrad and his assistant did a great job with the sanding and buffing of the main shower and it looks great, They also fixed the other shower threshold and matched the color perfect. They are very professional and efficient. I would highly recommend their work. They came when they said they would and Conrad calls back quickly when you leave a message.
Description of Work: I've been pricing new showers either tile or fiberglass when a man at Hajoca plumbing gave me Conrad's number. My fiberglass shower had some scratches and I wanted to update. Scheduled a fiberglass shower refinish and when Conrad looked at the shower he said he could lightly sand and buff to bring back the finish. Also had Conrad fix a shower threshold in another shower that had been patched and looked bad.

Conrad is a real gentleman, and his work is exceptional. My bathtub was a 1960's hot pink and now it is a glistening white beauty with a textured non-slip finish on the bottom of the tub. I will definitely be using him again and heartily recommend him to anyone who needs their bathtub refinished.

He also did some extra detailed caulking using a great product my husband was unfamiliar with. We were very happy with his finished work which made our bathroom finally complete in a fabulous manner. Having had many upgrades to our home done in poorly fashion, we are well pleased and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who desires perfection.

When I First talked to him on the phone, and described my problem, he made some suggestions that could be tried that might save me The cost of a total resurfacing of my claw foot bathtub. I did try the suggestions that he described, and my tub is sparkling White again. I can't say enough about Conrad and Advanced Bathtub and Tile. He was more interested in helping me, and Saving me money, than in making money. I will call Advanced Bathtub and Tile when I need any of the services they provide.

+ -1 moreAmazing results, a great price, and fast! They did what they said, when they said they would, for the price they said, and the results are unbelievable. We had a tub and tile where the old resurfacing was peeling off. They were original to the home ('70's green) and the prior resurfacing was at least 10-15 years old, maybe more, and poorly done, to boot. I was concerned about the cost of a re-tub kind of thing, and definitely did not want to pay for an entire bathroom renovation. These guys did a resurfacing and the results are unbelievable! The photos they have here on Angie's list are an accurate portrayal of our experience as well. Complete transformation! I'm amazed and so pleased with the results and with everything about working with this company. I would never hire anyone else to do this type of work. I'm a lifetime customer, for sure.
