They came out the same day and fixed it.
Description of Work: Fuse box looks ok. Its either line to well or mechanical pump itself. Easy access. No problems in two years, not sure if prior owners did much with it

One day our water (which was previously pristine) began to run cloudy. At the same time our water pressure became almost non-existent. A-1 (Travis Franklin) came out the same day I called. Once he looked at the white sandy sediment coming out of the taps, he suspected a cracked well casing and damage therefrom. After running a camera down the well, I could see it was obviously leaking from a large crack....which he set about repairing with specialized cement. We kicked around several options, but my attitude is get the work done one time, the right way. At 550 feet down, this was not childs play. Upon pulling up the piping and pump, said pump was completely clogged with this white muck (no wonder we had no water). Since it was already nearly 20 years old, we opted to replace it. We also had the wiring (550 ft) replaced because it had become frayed over the years and while we could have patched it....we felt it was worth the considerable expense to replace it. That done, we looked at the two water pressure tanks, both of which turned out to be completely saturated with that white sand and literally unusable (once the pressure bladder is gone, they're worthless). Next was flushing out my five bathroom houses water system (including the water heater). That white composite was in everything....what a mess. Travis replaced the tanks with slightly larger tanks and had to re-plumb a bit of the distribution system. He then flushed out all water to get the last of the sediment until our piping ran clear....refilled the house......and done. He and his helper did an outstanding job and I wholeheartedly recommend his service.
Description of Work: Replace entire well mechanisms, wires, etc. Replace 2 large pressure tanks

Franklin (owner of A-1) had a big job to finish that morning, but promised me he would get to us in the afternoon. He was as good as his word. He and an assistant came and diagnosed the electrical problem immediately (control box burned out). He told me the box required replacement (which I agreed to) and within fifteen minutes, had the water system up and running. Mr. Franklin was a very pleasant man to do business with and I wholeheartedly recommend his services to anyone with a well problem who needs work done the same day.
Description of Work: We had a lightening strike very close to the well head during the night. The next morning...no water. Called several well & pump repair places, but none could come the same day....only the next day....maybe.

Description of Work: On October 22, 2012 Franklin Enterprises DBA Carolina Hydro-fracturing- Mountain Rain Water- A1 Wells and Pumps installed a new well pump which was quote "burned out". We were quoted $1,700. Mr. Travis Franklin demanded $2,300 cash. By the end of the day, the price had gone up $4,026. We were issued an un-itemized receipt when we demanded a receipt for the $2,300 in cash. The balance was paid in two following payments. We asked to see the old well pump and wire and were told that they had been discarded. This was on site right after the installation. We asked to see the paper work on the well pump and was told that it was taken to the office and would be sent by mail. We made another demand for the paperwork on November 17, 2012. We were told that time that "no paper work comes with a well pump". On February 16, 2015, the well pump now functions. Caldwell Drilling pulled the well pump which had the mandated factory label on it marked 2005. We contracted Travis Franklin via speaker phone in the presence of witnesses. He immediately panicked stating that he had fixed the first pump at number four which we confirmed, "Well the date on the pump don't bother me" he added quickly. "That's just when the pump was manufactured". Mr Franklin then called Jeff at Caldwell Drilling to learn that the second well pump further up the drive was replaced by them in December of 2014. Travis Franklin immediately changed his story to say the one up the hill was his work and Caldwell discarded a well pump factory marked 2012 and still under factory warranty. The pump replaced in 2014 was proceeded by a necessary truck load of gravel in order to reach it. When Caldwell pulled that pump, it was dated 2002 and the wire and pump were replaced. The old pump and wire were scrapped and the new set up work is fine. We were present, Matthew Fox was present and the on site manager, Robert was present. As a note, James from Caldwell Drilling stated that the pump that had to be replaced at number four last week, it has relatively new wire with it but the pump was from 2005 and had not been replaced in 2012.
