Called Jim on a rush job on a Tuesday and he was out Thursday morning to help us complete our kitchen redecoration. He came at exactly the time indicated and worked diligently to do the work in an efficient and effective manner. He was very careful with our new kitchen cabinets and did a wonderful job in putting all of our new lighting fixtures in. He did a wonderful job making sure everything was clean when he finished. What a wonderful professional......we will definitely use him for our electrical needs in the future.

My overall experience unquestionably exceeded expectations based on past experiences with the pool sales/service businesses in the Alamance County area. Approximately 5 years ago my spa needed a service call. The pool sales/service from which I had made the purchase would not respond to my requests for service The spa was not useable for at least 2 months. My patience was exhausted with this business by the time the repair occurred. Then during mid 2012 the spa expierenced problems. I was buying my chemical supplies from another local pool sales/service business and asked them for service. Since they did not sell Vita spas they were reluctant to attempt the repair. They made an attempt with short term results (Jim discovered multiple problems with pumps, heaters, etc. that had not been discovered by the pool company). Bottom line is I was very fortunate to find Jim Banley. Now I know with confidence Branley Electrical Repair (336-263-3716) can service my spa. WHAT A RELIEF!

I called Jim to hook up the electrical box and run electrical wiring from my breaker box to the hot tub. He also ran a check up to make sure the spa was functioning correctly. He was very nice, prompt and fair with his fees. I could not have been more pleased.

Mr. Branley gave me the cost over the phone, and we set a date. He was right on time and finished the job professionally. He even made a couple of repairs in the attic where a previous contractor had mesed up the wiring. This was all done in exchange for my picking up an eight dollar cover that was missing in his receptacle kit. After the job was finished, he wouldn't accept payment on the spot, but said that he always waited a few days before sending a bill to make sure that the customer was happy. I am having Branley Electric come back for a few finishing items when my renovation is complete.

The electrical for part of my house went out and could not reset with the breaker. They came out and back tracked from the initial outage until he was able to find the problem, He had another emergency call but worked through until we identified and fixed the problem. There was additional standard maintenance work to do, which we rescheduled for the next evening and he headed off for his other emergency call. I appreciated all the great work.

Mr. Branley was prompt, highly professional, courteous, clearly careful and thorough, with reasonable rates... has done work for me several times in the past 10 years... I cannot recommend him highly enough.

I tried to replace a broken closet light fixture and got in over my head. I called Mr. Branley, we scheduled an appointment for the next morning. He informed me of an outdated fixture and suggested an option. Mr. Branley picked up the fixture on the way to my house and the installation was completed quickly. Mr. Branley replaced the light fixture, he was polite, prompt, and knowledgeable.

He did a great job. He gives a detailed invoice, and charges $50 an hour for himself, when he has an assistant, he charges $20. He does very good, quality work, and he pays attention to detail. He uses good quality parts and can talk intelligently about different ways to do something, and recommend a way that will save money or work better. He takes responsibility for his work. He's very friendly and professional. He has flexible hours and does a great job.

Everything went very well. All work performed had excellent attention to detail. For example, during the process of installing the ceiling light, the light was ever so slightly (maybe a 1/16th of an inch) not flush with the ceiling medallion that was between the light and the ceiling. I may not have noticed but Jim sure noticed. He made an adjustment and this time it fit perfectly. I really appreciated his taking pride in getting it right. At one point during the job, Jim's headlight ran out of batteries. His rechargeable batteries were not powered up. I let him have 3 AAA batteries. I gave him three and he sent me a pack of 10! I asked him not to do this but he insisted. Jim had a nice steady demeaner and was easy to work with. I would hire him again.

I found Mr. Branley on Angie's List and when a bulb replacement and a circuit breaker check did not solve my out-of-service front porch light, and an inspection of the switch box showed overheating evidence, I called him. He returned my call that evening but I was unable to take it so I called him next morning. He returned that call early afternoon, said he was coming my way if that was convenient. It was. He came in, checked the box, explained the problem, and re-wired it. I told him I would go down to Lowes and get a new switch but he checked his truck and had a spare. It wasn't an exact match but it was close and he sold it to me for 5 bucks. (I had offered to go down to Lowes to get an exact duplicate switch and he said that if he didn't have one in his truck I could pick one up from his supplier or at Lowes. Price would be $12-14 either way... which it was. I checked later.) Then, when my front porch light STILL didn't work, he diagnosed the problem as a missing light socket, showed me, and told me what I would have to do to rebuild the light and make it safer as well (there was no electrical box where the wire came out of the porch ceiling.) I have since done so. Mr. Branley was friendly, competent, courteous, punctual, and reasonably priced. He was also willing to give me advice about how to deal with an electrical problem that he thought I could handle myself, rather than simply telling me how much he would charge to do it for me. This is the second time I've gone to Angie's List for service people in the area and it has worked great both times. I'm sold.

Mr. Branley did a superb job. The work was done in the amount of time proposed and was completed as described. He pointed out and corrected several code modifications that had to be done, which kept our home ready for inspection if need be. At the end, he checked everything for proper operation. I would definitely use him in the future and have no problems recommending him.

Mr. Branley gave me some good advice about dealing with the electrical system in my older home. He was very conscientious about giving me an estimate. He and his wife were very pleasant and professional to deal with. I would highly recommend them and will certainly use them again.

He did his job with knowledge and skill. When he accidentally broke a globe that was on our old light fixture, he subtracted $10 from his bill to cover that. On an earlier job I was disappointed that he was unable to find a way run wires through our kitchen cabinets to hardwire under-the-cabinet lights. He did advise us as to alternatives. He also advised us on a couple other electrical improvements that we could consider for our older house.

From start to finish Branley Electrical was great. The actual job I called about ended up being very minor and he was able to fix in in under 5 minutes. He spotted a broken outlet and offered to fix it since he was there. My family has recently moved into our house and he did electrical work for the old owners. Since he knew the house he gave us pointers on the specific needs of our house while he fixed the outlet. Very nice guy and a great job.
