+ -1 moreWorst ac repair company in the Albemarle area. I would recommend them to anyone. Total rip off stay away!
Description of Work: Dual fuel system was not working on the heat pump side, called these folks for a repair and they did send a technician (Gilberto) who did not seem to know anything about the system as indicated by the constant phone calls to his supervisor. He supposedly found a Freon leak and repaired the line but would not service the system until I authorized (via credit card and signature) paying for the Freon ($900.00). As it was January 2nd and very cold I agreed and he serviced the equipment and was buttoning things up to leave. I asked him if it was repaired and he said yes but I decided to turn the heat on before he left and it still didn’t work. He called his supervisor and talked for over an hour but didn’t fix anything and left after assuring me they would be back the next morning. Next day came and they never came back. I called the office several times but could only leave a message with the receptionist. Called a different company, they showed up and fixed itin 10 minutes. Stay away!

+ -1 moreWe have had problems since 2012 on the HVAC System they installed in our new house, we have called many time over the years if fix numerous problems with no satisfaction. Contacted the manufacturer to help resolve problem, they sent a new Air Handler that the company reluctantly replaced. The problem still continued, called for service the Office Manager told us were on the DO NOT SERVICE list without explanation. Contacted a number of contractors seeking help only to get temporary fixes. Finally got e reputable HVAC company that diagnosed the problem as incorrect installation and sizing of the duct work and recommended a solution that was extremely expensive but had to be done. Rick Gilbert/ Doug Williams are not only extremely poor contractors, they also have terrible customer service. In all good conscious I would recommend people not do business with the company.

Description of Work: Mike the technician provided excellent and prompt service when the evaporator coil went bad on our heat pump. He did what he said he'd do for the quoted price. I will call them again when needed.

+ -1 moreWe purchased a small independent HVAC system from this company for the room over our garage. It's a wall mounted unit. We only use it when we are in the room so it is not constantly running. This month the remote stopped working and we realized it has no manual controls. We called the manufacturer and they told us wow that's an old unit. We stopped making those over 7 years ago. It wouldn't be a big deal except we just put in the unit 3 years ago and so that means it had been stored somewhere for over 4 and then sold to us as new. Luckily the manufacturer did find a replacement remote that will work and it was $65.00. I'm just disappointed that we were sold an old unit considering what we paid.
Description of Work: They did the HVAC and plumbing for our custom built home in 2007. In early 2008 we completed the room over our garage for a playroom and we had them come back and install an independent wall mounted heating and air unit that we could just use when the room was in use.
