We were delighted with the service we received from Tony and American Liners. He came to our home to provide an estimate for the job shortly after we made our first contact. He provided a competitive estimate and explained all the options and issues that could influence the final cost. He responded promptly to all our inquiries. He included several cans of high-quality spray paint to touch up the pool coping. He could have sold us a new replacement winter cover but he advised against it because he felt that what we had was adequate to do the job. He completed the job sooner than we expected, even when he found unanticipated damage to the sand bottom due to leakage from our old liner. He did the jog right and did his best to keep the costs down. I highly recommend American Liners for your pool repair!

Outstanding job!!!! This is the second time using this company and definitely will use them again. Tony came out last year to replace the liner and this time to replace our cover. He always gives great advice and is willing to go above and beyond. The price is always great. I will gladly use him again when we convert our pool to salt water.

My pool pump for my in-ground pool was approximately 10 years old and it finally conked out. I have my property rented out to tenants and they had just opened the pool when the pump gave out. I called Tony in to take a look at the situation and he recommended a rebuild of the unit versus a full replacement in order to keep costs down. Tony rebuilt the pump and it is running smooth and pushing more water than it did when it was brand new. I have used Tony for pool repair services including a full liner replacement for a few years now and I would not go to anyone else. Tony and his team know exactly what they are doing. He charges a fair price for TOP NOTCH work and he is one of the most reliable and trustworthy businessman that I have ever had the fortune of encountering.

I received Tony's card from Leslie's Pool Supply in Chesapeake. I contacted him for a quote for pool liner replacement only. He returned my call within 24 hours and promptly set up a time to do a quote. He arrived on time and was exceptionally professional. The quote that Tony provided was $250 below the nearest competitor and included more standard repair work. During the quote I mentioned that I had been trying to get a quote for a small patio area, and had a hard time getting anyone to return my call. He said that he could do that work as well and would have a quote for me the next work day after he got a quote for the mix. He called me back promptly with a VERY fair price and said he could start the work right away. I delayed a week trying to get other quotes, but to no avail. The only other quote I got was left in my back yard and ended up in the swimming pool. Tony and I confirmed the details on a Thursday and the following Monday he started the work. A week and a half later everything was complete and it looks absolutely amazing. he was very consistent with communicating throughout the entire process and always answered all of my questions quickly. The pool looks like new, and he didn't nickel and dime me with "additional costs". I would (and will) recommend American Liners to anyone who will listen. Tony knows what it means to be honest and forthright in his business dealings and provides service that I have not seen in a long time. Highly recommended!

Everything went excellent! He showed up on time and took care of everything professionally and with expertise. I have three neighbors that have used him over the years and they have all given him glowing recommendations and this helped me decide to use this excellent company as well.

Tony was very professional and maybe gave us the the best service we have had in Virginia Beach. He want beyond the scope to help us with our pool. I used a coupon from Angie's list. I would recommend them to anyone!

Tony was awesome from the start. There was no BS and was strait forward in the service he will provide. He was by far the cheapest around and did more add-on's (paint coping, install wall foam). The other companies I received quotes from were all add on charges. After inspecting the pool (after the liner was removed), he removed our deteriorating pool light fixture and patched that up as well. The two man crew had it all installed in 5 hours. I will definitely use him again when I get my pool cover replaced at the end of the season.

I slected Tony because of the positive responses on Angie's List. I was not disappointed. He did everything that was expected of him. He met all schedules and them some. He was in constant contact with me on every step of the process. I have already recommended him to several co-workers. It's hard to find a trustworthly, dependable contractractor. Tony is the gold standard for pool liner installations.

If you are in need of any pool repairs, liner replacement or equipment installation, you can't go wrong by using American Liners. Mr. Wallace does an exceptional job at a more than fair price and makes every effort to stay within his quoted estimate. After reading the reviews on Angie's list, we called Tony to give us an estimate. He was quick to return our call and scheduled a time to come an evaluate our situation. We had just purchased the house and the pool and filter equipment were in a deplorable condition. He was on time for his inspection and outlined several options available to us. Because of the material condition of the liner and the filter equipment, we decided to replace both. The liner was of unknown age and the sand filter looked liked someone had attempted to repair it. Tony gave us a quote for the new liner and a new DE filter and alerted us to the fact that the price might differ from the estimate based on the condition of the floor, the walls, and if there was a problem with ground water. He also gave us a price for well points if they were needed to control the ground water. Once the old liner had been removed, it was discovered that well points had never been installed when the pool was originally built, so it was necessary to install them. Also, when the pool was originally constructed, they only used concrete on the walls and not the floor. Tony went out of his way to perform quality work; some without charge to me. He even secured a better filter than was needed and never charged for the upgrade. Because of the clarity of the ground water and Tony's ingenuity, we were able to use that ground water to help fill the pool, thereby reducing my Va Beach water cost. After the installation, Tony provided me with instruction on proper maintenance and operation of the equipment. Even though the final cost was higher than the estimate, I had absolutely no problem with the higher price. In my opinion, American Liners had gone above and beyond what was required. We now realistically have a brand new pool at a fraction of what we would have been charged by other companies. Use Mr. Wallace and American Liners and you will not be disappointed.

The whole process went well. I was concerned about the new liner getting wrinkles in it as the old one had. Mr. Tony explained to me how water gets under the liner and will not perk because of clay. He explained how a pump hooked up to a well point drain would eliminate this problem. During the estimate meeting, Mr. Tony explained how his liner product was a step above other local competitors because of the better securing top edging, the lack of seams and the backside coloring to slow the fading process. At the beginning of the liner replacement process, Mr. Tony showed tenacity, because it was hard to find the well point drain line. Installation process was quick. Mr. Tony answered any questions I had patiently and thoroughly.

Everything you've read about Tony is true. He has earned straight A's because he is honest, dilligent, charges a fair price and does great work. He is a true professional. He arrived for the estimate with 4 cans of heavy duty spray paint. He suggested that we repaint the aluminum coping on the concrete deck edge prior to liner replacement. He left the paint with us even though we hadn't signed a contract and were awaitng an estimate from a second contractor. Tony did the great job we expected. He provided a discount because there was less foam replacement required on the walls then he had estimated. He did however later determine, after removing the old liner, that one corner required some concrete repairs. We authorized the additional work and the net result was that the job cost slightly above estimate. We can't say enough about Tony as a craftsman and a businessman. We recommend him and will use him for any liner service we may need in the future. He is a skilled, relaible and honest professional.

Tony (the owner) showed up promptly every time. He made sure everything he promised was in writing to my satisfaction. He tracked the order of the liner and kept me updated with the progress. From day one, Tony explained what he was doing and what the next steps would be. He repaired a large portion of the pool floor that needed it, found a broken tack strip and replaced it with a new one (at no extra charge for any of it). He painted the coping as well. He came back the day after the work was completed to make sure everything was going well and also followed up with a phone call. A couple days later we found we were losing water and called Tony. He came out immediately the next morning. He had called a diver to come out with him to see what the problem might be. He fixed a small leak in my skimmer and on the stairs. Also Reinforced the seal on my light and made sure there were no other problems with my pipes or equipment (again at no extra charge to me). I have dealt with numerous pool co's for leaks, liner, problems and repairs. None of which have been called a second time. We will never use anyone but American Liners again. Tony is the definition of impeccable workmanship, customer service and reliability. He stands behind his work and that is a rare thing now-a-days. I know I can count on him in the future for all my pool needs. Only regret is that we didn't find him years ago.

Amazing! That's all I can say. From first contact all the way through the estimate to the finished product..totally Amazing!! Pool looks fantastic!! This is the company to call..Superior service, pricing and customer service...he went totally above my expectations!!

American Liners provides great service! Tony (the owner) personally came out to my house and looked at my swimming pool the day after I requested an estimate to replace my swimming pool liner. After receiving all the estimates for the same, I chose Tony to perform the work. The day after I told Tony I wanted him to replace my pool liner, he came out to verify the measurements on my swimming pool. Additionally, we wrote out and explained the estimate and all the requirements. When the liner came in, Tony told me he would install on Monday. I made an effort on Saturday to help Tony out and removed all the pool covers and water bags, items placed around the pool, and power washed around the perimeters of the pool. The Sunday afternoon after church, Tony came by to drop off his pool dewatering pump. He saw that I was ready for him to start work on the pool and started to pump some of the water out of the pool. On Monday, he was here bright and early. Tony and his employee finished pumping the water out of the pool, removed the old vinyl liner, replaced the foam walls, and installed the new liner, face plates, and gaskets. He even painted the aluminum coping white. When I got home from work, the pool was being filled up with city water. Tony gave my spouse a few instructions with regard to an operating temporarily installed vacuum cleaner and necessary coordination needed for filling the pool with water. On Tuesday, Tony removed the temporarily installed vacuum cleaner and finished up with the installation of the vinyl pool liner. We then finished filling the pool with water. Tony communicated to us well, he utilized his cell phone mostly. He kept us well informed and was very helpful. He let us know if there was something that needed to be accomplished and did not hide anything. I would strongly recommend American Liners to take care of your swimming pool maintenance needs!

From the start, Tony made every effort to communicate with us how the entire process would go. Even when we were waiting for the liner to be manufactured, Tony called and let us know approximate arrival time and installation date. I was never left guessing what is going on with the liner. On the day of installation, the old liner was pulled out and they found several major issues. Let me tell you, this is where American Liners absolutely shines. An entire section of wall was washed out under an old (and improperly sealed) pool light. We also had a major ground water because our well point wasn't working correctly. At 10AM I was certain the job would go on for one or two more days. By 2PM, all the repairs were done and the new liner was installed. Quite simply, these guys went really far and above what I had expected. From the beginning to the end, I've never dealt with a more honest and upfront contractor than Tony. They did an absolutely superior job and finished ahead of schedule despite the unforseen damages due to having a 30 year old pool. Just an absolute great crew and I will definitely recommend them to anyone and everyone I can.

eThe owner/representative arrived promptly to give me an estimate. The estimate was extremely reasonable. I set up the installation and they came to measure the pool and help us select the color and thickness of the vinyl we wanted installed. The pool liner was instaalled within a day or two of the liner coming in. The installation took one day and the owner stopped back the next day to inspect it after the pool had been refilled. He also stopped back a week or two later to ask if we were having any problems. We highly recommed this "pool liner installer".

The whole experiance was great, in just 5 hours the old liner was removed and the new one was put in. Make sure your price includes putting new foam on the steel walls. Some vendors will charge you more after they take the old liner out. This could cost you another $500.

This was a serious pool recovery job and the team had to work very hard to successfully complete it. The pool was measured to get the proper fit for a new liner. This required the guys to climb into the pool which was nearly empty except for about 2 feet of muck and a few hundred frogs. They waded right in to get the measurements they needed to order the liner. The first phase of the job entailed cleaning out the pool of the muck, mud and caved-in chunks of vermiculite. This was really grunt work. A couple of times I offered to help but Tony refused to allow that. Once the heavy debris was out of the pool the real issues started. There were no well points in place to keep ground water at bay and prevent the walls from continuing to cave in while the work was being done. This required the team to set well points. Normally that would involve setting one or two well points. In the end they had to set eight well points over the course of two days to keep the ground water at bay. Apparantly there was an abundant source of water in the ground. This was a lot more work than Tony originally anticipated, but he honored his original quote. Once the ground water was finally under control the team was able to start rebedding the vermiculite. I was extremely impressed with the skill they demonstrated in rebuilding the pool sufaces which had been comprimised by years of neglect and were badly caved in. The vermiculite was allowed to dry for a day and then they came back to install the liner. They executed this step expertly and Tony explained each step in the process. I spent a lot of time checking on the work and Tony was always giving me nuggets of helpful information and advice about the pool. He and his team showed a tremendous amount of prode and care in their workmanship. The final product is a beautiful professional looking installation. It is hard to believe they were able to convert such a mess into such a beautiful final product. Tony was reccomended to me by a coworker a couple of years ago and it took me until now to actually get the work done. In the long run the delay on my part cost me more money due to the deterioration of the pool over time. I firmly believe I got a great value and that Tony performed the work at a price that was more than fair and reasonable. I don't know what I would have done otherwise. I would enthusiastically reccomend American Liners to anyone who needs a pool liner replaced. These guys handle the tough jobs and the basic jobs and at a price that can't be beat for the value.
