Flawless Carpentry

We went thru Lowe's to have our kitchen remodeled. Dan from Flawless Carpentry was the contractor. He made sure all aspects of the remodel were taken care of including plumbing & electrical work. Eric put in our new cabinets. He took his time & did a wonderful job. Dan came back to make sure everything was finished to our satisfaction & took care of any last minute items that needed to be attended to. I would not hesitate to recommend Flawless Carpentry & all Dan's employees. I will definitely contact them again for other remodeling that we might want done!

Dan replied to my F rating of his company with a bunch of lies. I never called or contacted him after 9:00. I never asked for a lower amount, in fact I gave his worker a bonus more then once. I spent 1000's on the flooring and told him to have any sand put on my driveway, so any left could be swept up. I did not want sand messing up the finish on the new floors and sand will scratch it bad if waked on with sand on shoes. I have never been doped up. Yes, I told him he would not get the final payment until the job was completed. That was HIS terms. He wanted to get paid before he got the sand from the side yard and had a hole in my drywall that he put there that had to be repaired. The number from the humidex was needed to put it under warranty. if he had brought it out when he said he would so I could see it, instead of me wasting Hrs of my time waiting on a no show that could have been avoided. There was 2 rooms ONLY to be in tile. Den and Foyer. He e-mailed and asked if he could do part of my hallway in tile. I told him No. As stated he Never used a tape measure and since I was a contractor for more then 20 years I know a Good contractor can walk the flooring. I gave him the benefit of the doubt. He was not one of those that can walk the measurement. Yes replaced all flooring. Not that all had to be replaced. But I wanted hardwood flooring and what was down was not suitable. And it made it Much easier for them to replace the joist. Even the 1/2 he didn't charge for to start with because he never went under the house to count them. After getting a good contractor in the house as we have now, it is new and will last a Long time. Dan you tell another lie as I am on dope or a burnout I will have you in court. As a contractor with always a 5 star rating from anyone I did work for and a registered volunteer EMT nice try at discrediting my rating.

Terrible. Dan estimated 30 joists to be replaced. 500 sq feet of tile. 750 sq feet of hardwood. He did not go under the house to look. He never pulled out a tape measure, he tried to walk the footage. The actual tile was only 380 sq feet. I had 7 1/2 boxes of custom tile left that could not be returned. He was short on the hardwood. The guy doing the work for him did not work 1 full week, although when I asked Dan before I hired him would there be someone on the job Mon-Fri until it was finished. He assured me it would and said it would only take 2 weeks. 2 months later it was not yet completed. Dan did not respond to many of my e-mails. Asked how I even knew he got them. Easy, he would ask me something not related to what the e-mail was, by A couple of other small things bad. responding to the e-mails I sent. I had him give an itemized estimate. I took off the labor on tile for the 120 sq feet he was over, I also adjusted for the hardwood e was under, but he told me I had no right to do so. I told him I was not paying for 500 sq feet when only 380 was laid. I needed something for humidity. He suggested a humidex. He was to bring it so I could see it before install. I waited most of a day and he did not show up, Brought it the next day and installed it before I could see how it worked. (it has summer and winter settings)

Dan was great, he is a very hard worker and very good at what he does. Dan started inside the house by taking care of the ceilings and crown moldings. And while spackling was drying he got busy doing the doors, cabinets and other small interior jobs I had for him. He finished the 2nd day with all of the interior work and everything looked amazing. He put down stuff to cover my furniture and flooring from paint and while he did sanding, also while going in and outside. He also cleaned up after himself... that alone was a miracle, a man that cleaned up after himself! (Just kidding) Before he left I paid him for the completed work and gave him the money for the materiel for the fence job which he would be starting next. Then he began the fence job this entailed removing the previous fence and the rebuilding the new one. I also asked him to add a double gate to allow a tractor to gain access. While ripping out the posts from the existing fence he stated that there was not nearly enough cement used and it was no wonder the fence came apart during the storm, he promised that he would dig down far enough and use enough cement to make sure that would not happen again. He did not used the same holes as the other fence, he hand dug each hole down 24" and added at least 2 bags of cement to each post hole, there was cement on the bottom, and all around each post. Once all of the posts were set he then hung a string and made sure each board lines up with the next. He was so meticulous with his work, old fashioned in the way he worked. The workmanship was great, I am so pleased, it may have taken a little longer than some of the standard fence companies but the end product was well worth it!
