Juan came out to look at my deck to verify that the size [square footage] was within the Special Deal specifications. It was a bit over but said that he would not charge any extra for the overage. [A rarity in todays world!] Within just a few days, Zarazua Painting had pressure washed and cleaned the deck in preparation for the stain/sealant. I was 'blown away' by the difference between the old faded and weathered deck and the almost new looking deck after cleaning. Juan and his crew had even re-anchored some of the boards that were working loose. Due to the "yellow death" [our annual pine pollen deluge] there was a period of delay before Juan and his crew could come back to apply the stain/sealant [he used Sherwin-Williams Deckscapes premium oil based semi-transparent]. My deck looks better now than it did when is was new [14 years ago]! I can say for a fact that Zarazua Painting is a first class business that is professional, courteous, knowledgeable, friendly and great to work with. I don't think anyone could possibly go wrong by using Zarazua Painting for any work needed inside or out on their home.

The pressure washing, restoring and staining the deck went extremely well minus the rain to slow progress. But went GREAT!!!!

They have not been out to perform the work as of yet, however, they arrived on time for my estimate and he was very thorough. I picked out the color I wanted for my deck. He also said he would be able to sand off the dings in my deck and he said it would look like new. He was a gentleman and even took off his shoes when he arrived. So far, so good!

I discovered Zarazua Painting on Angieslist, and encouraged by the positive ratings and great reviews they received, gave them a call to schedule an estimate. Juan, the owner, showed up promptly for our appointment and gave me a rough estimate that turned out to be identical to the final estimate that he emailed me a couple of days later. At that point, I?d already received four other quotes for the work. Zarazua?s was not the cheapest, but I decided to select them anyway for a few different reasons: ? Their price was reasonable. ? They were available when I needed them to be. ? I?d driven by a project they were working on, checked it out and was impressed by their work. ? Their Angieslist reviews spanned the gamut from sub-$1000 jobs to a $50,000+ job and they all had great things to say. ? I liked Juan?s friendliness and attitude. As the painting project took life, Juan let me know exactly when his crew was going to show up each day. This made it a lot easier for me to plan my day and make sure that they had what they needed to do a good job. Since I set my own work schedule, I had ample opportunity to see the Zarazua crew in action and to interact with them. They were friendly, polite, worked very quickly and efficiently and cleaned up after themselves every single day. One of the things I?m grateful to Juan for is the fact that he introduced me to a company that did some carpentry work and refinished my floors for a very reasonable price. What?s even better is that since he and this other company have a regular working relationship, they figured out their schedules between themselves to ensure that there wasn?t any conflict. It may not seem like much, but if you?ve ever tried to manage the schedules of two separate contractors, you?ll value this type of arrangement. Now that the work has been completed, I can say without reservation that it would be difficult to find someone more deserving of your business than Zarazua Painting. They (Juan) were extremely responsive, gave me a very fair price, did quality work, went above and beyond the scope of our original engagement (he cleaned the brick walkway to my house, power washed the roof and replaced a broken garage window without charging me a cent extra), and Juan even bought me breakfast one day! Lots of businesses have fancy-sounding mottos that they really shouldn?t be using. From my experience with Zarazua Painting, their right to claim their motto of ?Service Beyond Expectation? is one that?s well earned.

Juan and his crew went above and beyond to do high quality prep work. They were very detail oriented and promptly corrected the few problems.

We've hired Zarazua Painting on several occasions and have been pleased every time. Juan was prompt in giving us a quote for this work and his team was punctual and reliable once contracted. After almost nine months of renovations, we engaged the services of Zarazua to begin completing the project. We were pleasantly surprised with their professional manner, the committed and thorough nature with which they approached their trade and the detailed, methodical approach they took with our home. Being an older home, we have a lot of detail on the porch columns, wainscoting in the interior rooms and many windows and panes that needed their attention. These details combined with rotted wood, old chipping paint and plaster walls made this a very challenging project. Zarazua was very much up for the task, completing the assignment completely to our satisfaction, on time and on budget. Furthermore, their workers always arrived on time, were respectful of our valuables, and took pride in their work. We have absolutely no complaints. We are extremely pleased with their work and recommend anyone with a painting project, large or small, hire Zarazua.

Zarazua Painting has done work for me in the past and again recently. Juan, the owner, is very conscientious, professional and hard-working. On our first encounter and every time since, he and his crew showed up when he said they would, did an excellent job and cleaned up after themselves with minimal inconvenience to us, and everyone has been friendly and polite. Compared to other painters we have used, the cost has been reasonable and if there was a problem, it was fixed at no additional charge. An all-round positive experience.

There's this phenomenon when you live in an old house and you start one project, it has a crazy domino effect and other projects start to become necessary. For example, if you want to live in the 21st century and install a dishwasher, you'll quickly realize that you have to replace the sink, the counters, the cabinets and all the plumbing. My house is almost 100 years old and that happens a lot. Juan was indispensable when the dominoes started falling with this project. He had really helpful and creative suggestions, tons of contacts, and great advice about what needed to be done and what budgets were appropriate. In the end, he saved me a lot of money and helped me find top-quality people to do the work that needed to be done. One important detail to note - Juan and his crew are very mindful that they are working in and around your home. When they leave for the day, things are tidy and as clean as they can be. If you're a neat freak, Juan Zarazua is your man. Oh, and my house looks FANTASTIC. Juan is very, very particular and he clearly takes a great deal of ownership in his projects. He made sure everyone (including me) did things right. I'll definitely work with him again in the future.

Juan Zarazua and his employees are superb. Juan has redefined painting. There was so much more that went into the prep to make the paint look great. They sanded and prepared each and every area they painted. The paint job is excellent. The paint is even and smooth and the lines where the walls meet are perfectly straight. At the end of each day, the entire area where they were working was clean and neat. They NEVER left a mess. I was able to leave the house while they were working since I knew I could trust them. Juan came by at least one time a day to see the progress. I am glad that I listened to Juan's recommendations for paint colors. He knows what he is doing. He not only supervised, but also jumped in to work. I would definitely hire them again in the future

We were getting ready to put our house on the real estate market and wanted someone who could do high-quality work within a relatively quick time frame, and at a reasonable cost. We collected 5 estimates from different companies to paint the complete exterior (siding & trim) of our house, repair & replace siding and trim, and re-stain our deck. Zarazua Painting impressed us right from the start: my initial phone call for an estimate was returned within 24 hours, and the owner himself (Juan Zarazua) came out within 2 days to see the house and discuss his proposed estimate, process, and timetable with us in person. Juan is easy to talk to and seemed to really listen to what we wanted, whereas other contractors seemed like they were just trying to push a sale. His estimate was comparable to others, yet he respected the fact that we had a tight budget and he worked with us to find a couple ways to reduce costs. Within a week (yes, that's right - within ONE WEEK!) Juan and his crew arrived promptly in the morning as expected, and they worked diligently all day for several days straight to get the job done. Juan routinely checked in with us while his crew was working at our house. His crew was hard-working, friendly, professional, and respectful. They kept the work area tidy throughout the day, and protected our landscaping from paint and ladders. They even made some adjustments in their schedule to allow my baby daughter to take a nap without the sound of the carpentry repair going on. On the last day they cleaned all our windows, re-attached exterior hardware (house numbers, doorbell, flag, etc.) and invited us to walk around the house to make sure we were completely satisfied with the job. The final result was EXACTLY what we wanted. Juan even made a suggestion for a new color on our front door, and I have to admit that he was 100% correct. Even our real estate agent was impressed by how such a simple change made the house "pop" and instantly enhanced its curb appeal. We have already asked Juan about some interior projects (hardwood floor refinishing, painting, etc.) that we need done in our new house. We hope to continue our relationship with him as our "go-to guy" for home improvement help.

Mr. Zarazua and his team always arrived on time and were a real pleasure to deal with. The attention to detail was excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending them -- the level of service exceeded my expectations!

They arrived on-time and worked very professionally. They started by power-washing the entire area, and then thoroughly scraped the entire area to be painted. They removed the address numbers and mailbox. They replaced trim where needed and primed the entire area. They painted everything. They even painted the address numbers, as they were discoloured. They reattached the address and mailbox. They were very thorough in cleaning up the paint chips and any other mess they made. At the end the front of the house looked great!

Two of our bathrooms had old wallpaper which needed to be removed. After consulting a decorator for paint suggestions and consulting three painting companies, we chose Zarazua Painting to do the work. Juan worked with us to refine our color choices, made additional suggestions which enhanced the rooms and his crew did the work to our complete satisfaction. We then asked him to inspect several damaged places on our wood finished house. He pointed our all the places that needed to be repaired. His estimate covered replacement costs for damaged panels and the painting of the entire exterior. We are very pleased with his crew and their work. They were pleasant to have at our house for some periods.
