I had a great experience with Juan and his team. Everyone I worked with was polite, professional and responsive. They always showed up on time and cleaned up when they were done; always happy to answer my questions. And they were always kind to me and to my dog! My house (1926 stucco bungalow) hadn't been painted in at least 15 years, and the interior trim was a disaster. Everything looks great and, a year later, still looks perfect and freshly painted. Juan also acted as a contractor for a few other jobs (new gutters, carpentry) - this work isn't reflected in cost of service above. It was very nice to have someone handle those details for me (and to help me identify house issues that needed some work!).

The actual job was well-done and I was very pleased. However, I believe this provider had probably taken on more work than he could handle, as it took about a month for him to get to the job after we accepted his estimate. He was very apologetic and discounted the service price. I wanted him to return to paint the fence, but he never followed up.

I was extremely pleased with the work performed by Zarazua Painting. The new paint job in the bedrooms is absolutely beautiful and the walls look flawless. The owner of Zarazua Painting was extremely helpful in assisting in the selection of the colors and came up with the suggestion to add chair rails in the hallway. What a big difference this has made. As far as the hardwood floors, I am just as pleased. The floors look better than what I had expected as the new floors were matched to existing hardwood floors in other rooms. In addition to the high quality work, the workers were extremely polite & professional and took care in cleaning up the work area at the close of each day. I was also impressed with the job being completed within the time frame we agreed and with minimum disruption to my day to day life as I work from home.

Zarazua painted our house recently and we were thrilled with the results, as well as the process of working with them. They began the job on time, with the first week or so being prep. The crew was meticulous and did a first class job with sanding, scraping and caulking, as well as keeping the job site clean. Next, they painted the exterior siding and all trim- windows and doors, too. The finished product looks excellent, having done the job the right way. It looks like a new house. Also, another crew painted an interior room for us, and the walls and woodwork were equally pristine and clean-looking when they finished. They finished on time, and the estimate given was accurate. Most of all, Juan and his foremen and crew were excellent people. The service Juan gave us was excellent, especially in communicating with us over the phone when various parts of the job were going to begin and end. The quality of service from Juan and his crew, and the quality of the work is just first class. We highly recommend Zarazua and will use them in the future.

They did a good job of cleaning and sealing the deck. Good service, reasonable price, professional, nice to deal with - as it should be!

We contracted with Zarazua Painting to replace drywall in two places in our house (including all ceilings upstairs) and to sand and stain a wooden porch. Juan and his team were incredibly helpful, left our place cleaner than when they started, and were very pleasant. We left a key with Juan, and felt that our house was in good hands. A drop cloth was missed in one spot, and once this was realized, Juan's team cleaned the entire floor (and even the small amount of drywall dust on my deck). When Juan gave us a specific time he would be here, he or his team arrived within five minutes. I was impressed. He does have a lot of jobs, so we had to wait a bit to get it scheduled, but I wasn't in a rush. Our porch is beautiful and the drywall lines are straighter and better than they were before. I would definitely contract with Juan again.

A person from the company came to my house for a free estimate. He took my email address and said I would receive the estimate within a few days. Weeks later I had not heard from him and sent an email. No response. Very unprofessional. Would never recommend them and will not call them again. Wasted my time being home from work for the estimate.

Upon receiving my call, Juan promptly scheduled a meeting and we discussed paint choices, caulking and timelines. He explained the benefits and track record of the paint he recommends. I did some internet research and found his recommendations to be the general consensus of the paint industry. He was very professional, providing a detailed quote that was very competitive with the other two I received. Juan staged all the times for pressure washing, caulking and painting of the exterior. His crew was on time and finished at the predicted times. After finishing we did a walk around to see any flaws and he promptly touched up everything even though all were very minor. As a bonus he painted my mailbox post that was not quoted and left me all the remaining paint for touchup. I also had his crew do some interior painting and touch up and I was equally pleased with the result. He worked around our busy schedule and his crew was very professional. Zarazua painters have many years of experience and truly enjoy working for Juan. Needless to say, I am very pleased with the overall experience and would highly recommend Zarazua Painting.

I can unequivocally say that Zarazua Painting lives up to its slogan, ?Service Beyond Expectation?. Juan brought my project in on budget and AHEAD of my projected completion date. I chose Zarazua over one other lower estimate because Juan spent plenty time talking to me on several occasions to make adjustments to my specs in order to meet my target budget. That gave me the confidence that he would do the job to my satisfaction. It was an exterior job with spots I could not easily inspect, so trust was extra important. When we discovered sub-layer lead paint prior to starting, he was still able to keep the estimate within budget. They then followed proper EPA guidelines for lead paint abatement. Juan?s crew was meticulous, punctual, and friendly. The job site was kept neat and safe every day. The supervisor communicated and cooperated with me very professionally when Juan was not present; that?s a must for me because every medium and large contractor I?ve ever used cannot be on the job all the time. Juan inspected my site regularly - each day I believe. It was a three day job. With some daylight left on the final day they even added in a few extra spots (windows) that were not on our agreement - very generous! I recommend Zarazua Painting here on Angie?s List and will do the same on my neighborhood listserv and by word-of-mouth.

The job went well, they were extremely timely, professional and worked on many projects. They gave the best of three estimates, did not require payment until the job was done and approved, and they worked along the way to make sure that colors and work all went as we wanted.

Juan and his team were simply great. Juan was always responsive by email, text and phone. His standards are high, and we were pleased with his attention to detail, the supervision of the team, and the quality of the job. It has been 4 months since the job, and everything still looks like new. Juan's communication was great and I have recommended his company to many neighbors. I rarely write recommendations on Angie's list, but this one is easy. I got Juan's name from Angie's list, he did a good job, and I want to ensure those who are looking for a good painter in the area know about Juan. Highly recommend.

We are thrilled with the results. Juan Zarazua was friendly and pleasant to work with. All of his employees were pleasant. They did a great job, with good attention to detail. They completed the work within the estimated time frame as well. We will certainly call Juan again the next time we need painting services.

I'd noticed Juan was working on a house exterior a few doors down. I was impressed by how much effort they were putting into prepping for the painting. Painting is 80% prep and 20% paint. (or so). I actually already had another painter in mind that I've used many times before and his pricing was nearly identical but he was only one guy who preferred having a finished product to paint. I went with Juan because I needed someone who would be able to replace a rotten board (or whatever) if they ran into something. They were able to repair an original door that was peeling seriously from the bottom that I wouldn't have been able to replace. I warned Juan that after months of doing interior renovations and dealing with other contractors who talked big but didn't deliver that I would be a tough customer. Long story short, Juan and his team met and exceeded my expectations. I really didn't have to lift a finger except to pick out paint colors and actually Juan was a HUGE help in that area too. In fact, now that I think about it he helped us avoid a huge mistake in painting a color that I'm sure now I would have hated. His guys even moved stacks of wood out of the way to paint behind them and them put the wood back. The area is cleaner now than when they got there! Courteous, professional, skillful, affordable. Can't ask for more.

Everything went very well. The work was high quality and they accomplished a lot in the 8 hours. The lead painter showed an interest in my concerns. I felt I got good value for my money and plan to hire them again for additional work.

Juan Zarazua promptly contacted me when I purchased The Big Deal. We scheduled an appointment for him to come to see the proposed work. He was punctual, professional, and friendly. He did a great job staying in contact with me about scheduling the work, paint colors, etc. His painter and pressure-washer were punctual, professional, friendly, and cleaned up their areas completely. They did an excellent job in a timely manner. Juan Zarazua contacted me when the work was completed to be sure I was satisfied with the outcome.

I bought the deal for 2 painters for an entire day for $349.00. The owner was very professional and punctual when he visited my home to check out what was needed. The painters came on time and did an excellent job with painting 2 rooms. I had hoped they would be able to complete both rooms but the rooms are rather large. They did a great job with the painting and the rooms look very good. I have rehired them to come back and finish the bathroom.

This was the best experience I have ever had with a contractor/service provider. Juan is driven to provide excellent service and wanted to get it right. He was patient with us as we picked colors and provided lots of samples and helpful advice. We ended up adding a little bit more color and are really happy that we did. He is a good communicator and there were no surprises. His crew was friendly and also seemed knowledgable. Our priority was to work with someone that we could trust and that would work to get it right and we were very pleased with Juan and his crew.

Work was excellent. We received great value for this service. Would have been more than twice as expensive if we contracted on our own. We needed some extra paint and Juan allowed us to use his discount at Sherwin Williams. Would not hesitate to recommend. Highly professional.

Very well! Painters were on time and meticulous in their workmanship. They cleaned up thoroughly after painting. This is the best painting job we've ever had! We would engage Zarazua Painting again and would recommend them to friends and neighbors without hesitation.

My deck was in really bad shape. They power washed, fixed rails, painted and stained. It looks great and was very affordable. Juan is an honest guy with a lot of integrity.
