Zarazua Painting

Great! Only the landing material used was not good and technique was not great. It ended up some repair work to cover the nail holes and rough surfaces. But overall, workers worked really hard and paid attention to details. They were punctual, professional and had excellent work ethics. The evaluator seemed aiming price high initially and it is not a bad idea to get few quotes.

It was a complex project executed in a little over 3 weeks, considering the winter weather interference, this was remarkable and the results are amazing. With a large scale multi stage project, there were some communication challenges which Juan and his team worked through to make an older home made to looks its best . Juan has some of the finest craftmen and workers that take pride in the work they do. The satisfaction of his customers is of paramount importance. I highly recommend Zarazua painting. I would be proactive about communication with Juan and his team- they are very busy at times and its best to reach out to them with questions as they come up- and if you are doing a big painting project, have them paint a large area with the color you chose carefully. Nothing more important that making certain you are happy with how the color works for you. Juan will make sure you will be pleased in the end. I felt I spent my money wisely and received very high quality professional results with Zarazua Painting.

It went very well. Mr. Zarazua met with me to assess the work that needed to be done. The price was good. We agreed on a date for the work to be done. His men came and did a great job of painting my deck. Mr Zarazua and his workers were professional and also friendly. Very well. The service contract was clear and specific, and the bid was in line with several others. (I got five bids; this was not the lowest, but was close enough.) The crew arrived on time, and spent about 7 days in prep--pressure washing, doing some repair carpentry, caulking, priming, scraping, and sanding. They then spent about 3 days applying the paint. There was good communication throughout. I'm very pleased with the results, and I'm pleased to recommend Zarazua Painting.

I chose Zarazua based on the plentiful positive reviews online, so I thought I'd share my recent experience. I scheduled an estimate a month before my hopeful date for the job - painting my entire downstairs, the stairway, and master bedroom. The painter from Zarazua arrived an hour and a half late. He was very nice and more than cordial, but only took a few pictures and indicated the job wouldn't be too costly or difficult. I received the estimate over a week later (seems like a long time when compared to others). Note that they missed at least 5 of my calls to them asking about the estimate, and eventually only responded by email, which is where I received my quote and gave them paint colors. All was finalized 3 weeks in advance of the date of my job. I was told they typically arrive by 8:45, so I was prepared to receive them around 8. At 10:00, still no one had showed. After several calls to the office (which doesn't answer calls on the weekend apparently) and several emails, I received an email stating that all of the painters had been given the weekend off and basically, it had been a mistake to schedule me that day and they had forgotten about it. So, they'd come next week. On the rescheduled day of the job, I received a call that they couldn't find 2 of my paint colors. They arrived at 9 AM without the colors so they could begin and one of the team of 4 went out to find the other two. The painters actual work was great - their prep was ideal, they worked efficiently, and the walls look fantastic. However, upon inspection of one room while they were working on another, they painted a room the completely wrong color (not even the same shade), so they had to leave to find the correct color again. Additionally, they did not initially complete every wall that was included in the estimate, so towards the end I had to specifically ask that this be done. They did not leave my home until approximately 6 PM. Despite the troubles we had throughout the process, no concession in price was offered, nor did I even have the opportunity to discuss this. In summary, it was pretty tiring working with Zarazua painting. It's difficult to obtain communication by phone, and they really weren't all that reliable regarding when they arrive or returning calls. However, as other reviews have mentioned, once you finally get them into your home and working, they do a good job. Just be prepared that they're "very busy" as I was often reminded, and make sure you both confirm your appointment with them well in advance and review your colors with them well ahead of time, confirming that they've been able to find the correct colors before the date of your job.

Contacted Juan and received a quote on pressure washing my house and restaining my deck in March. He was professional and what impressed me was he advised waiting until the pollen was done falling. Other providers did not point out the effect of the heavy pollen on the stain. His crew worked very hard removing the items off the deck and made sure all loose stain was scraped off the deck. They also cleaned up the job very well upon completion. My only suggestion is to be more responsive in returning phone calls but I do understand that this is their busy time of year.

We hired Juan and his crew to repaint the interior of our home. We could not be more pleased with how it turned out! Juan was generous with his advice about paint colors, and the workers were timely, polite, and detail oriented. We're already planning to bring them back next year for the upstairs.

Really well. Crew were great arrived when they said they would, called if there was a reason for not arriving (e.g. rain) they cleaned up each day and kept everything clean and safe. We stayed at the house but had little disruption. Juan and crew were very professional, knew what they were doing and did a great job.

Juan and his team did an excellent job. He is very professional and communication was excellent which is key for me. I am completely satisfied with the end product and really appreciated how they worked with me in regards to my budget. It was a true transformation and looks like a new home!

Jorge arrived on time and was extremely hard working. He got immediately to work and did a beautiful job. He got done twice as much as we even hoped and were able to get another room painted. He was very pleasant, did excellent work, and cleaned everything up.

I did not use their services since I was moving. They were very nice and professional. If I had not ended up buying a Nother hands, I would've been quite happy to use their services.

While Juan didn't quote the lowest price, it certainly was competitive and I felt it was reasonable. Juan was very accommodating in letting me choice my own brands for paint, stain and caulk. We had interviewed several other painters and they all insisted that we use materials from their preferred vendors. Juan's crew did a good job with all of their work and we are very pleased with the finished look. Sometimes things don't always go as planned on a job. What makes a company good isn't so much what happens when everything goes right; the real test is what they do when things go wrong. Juan distinguished himself by being committed to making sure that we were completely satisfied. The first problem that we ran into was the paint supplier made a mistake and provided a somewhat lower grade of paint. When I told Juan about this he didn't argue; he just had someone come over and pick up the original paint and replace it with the right grade (he even emailed me a photo of the new buckets so that I could see the label and knew it was right before they started). He had his crew paint over all of the areas that had already been painted. After the work was done and I had paid the final balance, I noticed some damage to the roof of our house from the ladders and the spray gun. I contacted Juan he promptly sent someone over to check it out. Juan was very courteous and considerate and agreed to make the repairs. Juan had a roofer come out and replace the entire roof over our front porch as well as another complete section. They matched the look of the preexisting shingles such that you can't tell that any repair work was done. As a bonus they used better materials than what we originally had. It is very rare to find a contractor who is so willing to work with the customer and who is committed to making things right even if ends up costing him. Juan Zarazua is such a contractor. I wish more were like him.

We had this work done before we moved into the house so we wouldn't have to worry about furniture getting paint on it. We would let the painter in the house in the morning and then we would come back at the end of the day to check out the work. We were always pleasantly surprised by the amount of painting that was finished and how good the quality was. There are some places where there are paint drips, but we realize that given the short timeline and the amount of space that needed to be painted, it was inevitable.

We were very impressed how Jim Lewis (quality manager) escorted the two painters to our job site, had me explain the scope of work, and reviewed the details of the approach his painters were going to take throughout the day. Once understood, the two painters went out the job until completion. They were professional, did quality work, were clean and efficient. I was pleasantly surprised how much they accomplished in the day. Jim ended the day, with a call to see if I was pleased with the job. I will certainly invite them back.

There are some areas that are darker and don't look long lasting. The service was okay. It was cheap because it was a big deal. I don't think the quality was that good.

great both telephone and text message were returned in minutes. I must say when you talk about professional and punctual you see Zarazua painters. When you talk about quality there is no comparison. Being new to North Carolina only 4 1/2 years here from NYC. I do not ever remember having a contractor clean up behind themselves like this crew did. I call them magicians. They move everything back into place when they are done. The job took 5 days to complete and room by room the job was exceptional. The communication with Juan the owner was exceptional. He returned both calls and texts within minutes of being sent. These guys hand paint no quickie spray job. Rollers and brush and the prep work is beyond anything you could imagine. Hats off to these guys. If you need painting you will not be disappointed with these guys. I'll bet anyone $100.00 they will love the job Zarazua does.

The first crew that worked on my new, unfinished wood fence did not seem experienced with semi-transparent stain. There were literally hundreds of dark drips, a few small unstained areas, and scores of areas that were overly dark and had dark streaks because too much stain was applied and not evened out. The crew got stain on my siding. They ignored my request to steer clear of a rickety brick lattice structure. Without asking, they stained a small, unfinished wooden divider wall (unconnected to the fence) that was too green to be stained. When the owner came by to inspect the work based on my complaint, he was very courteous and offered to make it right. Unfortunately, the only solution that made sense given the extensive number of botched up areas was to apply a solid coat, which meant that none of the wood showed through. He directed the new staff to clean up the stain on my siding, but that was not successful. He had the small divider wall completely sanded down to the wood. So, I have to give the owner credit for trying to do the right thing, but I ended up with a solid stain on the fence and was very disappointed that the natural beauty of the wood was lost. Given the glowing reviews of this company, the result was a stunning failure.

It's a popular deal and I travel a lot, so it took a bit to get our schedules coordinated, but they were professional and responsive in scheduling. There was, however, a scheduling snafu the day of the painting that resulted in them coming later in the day than planned. Juan called me, was very polite and personable and reasonable. He made sure to make it right and got a crew out same-day - and I'm pretty sure they spent a bit of extra time on my house by way of apologies for the scheduling issue. As for the work itself? Phenomenal. I could not have asked for a better job. The painting came out perfectly, it covered the ugly old paint beautifully, and now my rooms are bright and cheerful and everything I want them to be. They handled trim and multiple colors on various walls and parts of walls skillfully and without any bleedover too. The crew cleaned up after themselves, making sure not to leave any paint anywhere it shouldn't be. They were careful with my things, easy to talk to, and I couldn't be happier. I would definitely use them again!

The team was prompt, professional, and did excellent work! They painted our entire 1600 sq ft town home in 7 days. Juan alerted me to a homeowner's purchase deal that would allow me to save money on the paint and the he deducted the cost of the paint from the final total. His men promptly responded to a request that I had after the work was completed. Since completion of the work I have heard many times that our painted walls "look like something out of a magazine!" Juan and his team were great and I HIGHLY recommend them!

The quality of work was great. After our estimate it took over a month to get someone out and that was our only issue. Other than that, this provider does an excellent job and addressed any concerns we had with promptness. I would definitely recommend.

They removed the popcorn celling and painted all the house. They work in teams and the crew was polite and they ended the work at the time we agreed. The only step back was thay they didn't leave the house clean and they forgot to re install some flash mounts. Besides these details we will hire them again !
