Floor install process was a nightmare. It was supposed to be a one day job. The crew was supposed to arrive around 9am, but instead arrived 5-6 hours late at ~2pm, only after I called asking what was going on. They didn’t put any brown paper or anything protective on the floor or walls to work. They worked til ~8PM, I had to come to the house to lock the door after them because I hadn’t moved in yet (specifically to get the 2nd floor carpet replaced with flooring), and they had to come back the next day. Carlos, the sales contact at USA Flooring, didn’t care. Day 2, they come 2-2.5hrs late. Then they leave without telling me and I find dirt and scratches everywhere, the floor not finished, and quarter rounds installed crooked. Carlos tells me he ordered too little flooring and it’ll take another week. He was SO disrespectful, but this is par for the course. Why can’t they at least clean up and get it near completion before leaving? Then the manager (Katie?) started communicating with me. She also told me they don’t paint the ends of the quarter rounds white. They just leave the wood exposed. To me, that’s not a finished job. She had them come back a 3rd day to clean up and finish. Then a week later they came back and actually finished with the missing flooring. 2 stars bc the floor got done, but insane headaches. Oh also, I was made to pay full upfront which I stupidly never should have done.

After further inspection we observed that they had not put caulking in the spaces. ?They left it totally uncaulked in the corners, angles, and edges. ?We called them and they came back to do that. ?There was also chips in the wood that they repaired on the return trip. ?A couple months later we noticed the wood was buckling and they returned again and went under our crawl space and took moisture reading ?and said that the moisture reading in the power room was higher than the rest of the house. ?I informed them that they also installed the bathroom vinyl. ?Part of the job was removing the toilet. ?So if there is moisture in there, they didn't re-install the toilet correctly. ?We can't feel any moisture coming from anywhere in the power room. ?We have requested them to replace the floor or return our money. ?They are sending someone else out to look at it again on 9/14/15 to check on the problem. I would not use them again.
Description of Work: They installed a wooden foyer entryway. They installed vinyl in the power room and vinyl in our kitchen.

Travis, as well as everyone in the tile and bamboo crews, was professional, friendly, and responsive. The crews worked through hiccups and issues (discovering a particle subfloor instead of plywood) as they arose and corrected all of the small issues that occurred during the process (e.g. replacing a floor vent, leveling a louvre door to the laundry). We shopped around and did quite a bit of research on the bamboo flooring. We felt we received a high quality product at a reasonable price. We have been extremely pleased with the appearance, sound, and feel of the bamboo flooring. The bamboo crew usually showed up somewhat late (between 9 and 10) compared to the tile crew (between 7 and 8), but the bamboo crew also stayed late. USA Flooring was also a great fit for us because we were able to get the work done on a fairly short time frame (a few weeks) to ensure our floors were installed before we moved into our new home. The crew was responsive to our situation. They completed rooms in a particular order, so the movers could move furniture into the home while they finished up the install of the last two spaces. Overall, we were very pleased.
Description of Work: USA Flooring removed all of the existing carpet and laminate flooring and installed strand bamboo and porcelain tile throughout the home.

Stuart Waddell is the operation manager. He was extremely helpful though out the rocess of order and having the new floor installed. He kept his word about the schedule and sent very qualified workers to do the job. I was impressed with the honesty of the workers and the company.because the workers discovered that I did not need an additionally ordered under-flooring, informed me and the bill was immediately readjusted.
