Working around Durham but living in Raleigh, we had been looking at homes around the Durham area for over a year to get an idea of neighborhoods that fit our lifestyle. One of our biggest desires was to own a home in an older, more established neighborhood that was close to downtown. Knowing this and having seen several For Sale signs with the Urban Durham brand on them, we checked out their website and decided to cold-call Kelly Garcia. From the beginning, she was very attentive to our needs and promptly responded to our constant requests and questions. As we had hoped, she understood what we were looking for and knew where the best quality and value was in the area. She helped to alert us to new properties coming onto the market, and where needed would get all information about each property before we took a look through them. As we quickly found that houses we liked were getting quick offers, she also moved quick on our interests to be sure we secured an offer at the house we selected, and gave us tips throughout the process on how we could best work through the negotiating process. Once an offer was accepted, Kelly attended every inspection and walk-through (which were numerous due to the age of the home), and helped to advise on how to approach repair negotiations with a realistic train of thought. We are now happy in our new home, and even when some questions or small cosmetic issues have arisen after closing, Kelly has been more than approachable in helping with advice. We definitely plan to use her services down the road should we try to look again in Durham!
