There were long periods where I could not get any response and then when we finally got something on the calendar they cancelled at the last minute.

They did an excellent job. I don't think we could have beat the price. They were there when they said they would be there. Finished up at a good time. Cleaned up everything. They were very good. I would highly recommend them. I would use them again. I have also recommended to other people.

The Tropical crew did a great job on all the rooms, trim, and repairing the drywall where we had them take out two medicine cabinets. They were recommended to us by Creative Electric, who installed some lighting, to come behind them and repair and paint the ceiling. Our ask was a little vague because we didn't know how much damage the electricians would do to the ceiling, but there was none, so the job came in under the quoted time and cost. Very thorough in removing mirrors to paint behind them, and smoothing all the surfaces.

It was fine. They did a fine job. Quality wise there were a few things that I had to touch-up afterward, I had to sand down a little bit to make it smooth, I mean, it wasn't like perfect, then I was ready to paint. So I had a little bit of work to do, a tiny little bit, but you know, I couldn't paint it with the way it was. With the professionalism, he was very helpful, he was a nice man. He spoke very little English and so it was kind of hard to communicate. That's the only thing. Hey it wasn't a negative, he did good work. That was the two things. It was one guy that came to do the work. I think he took the whole 3 hours to do the work. He left the area clean it was fine.

They had to reschedule but showed up the next day and did a very good job. Kept in touch and worked hard. Backsplash looks great.

It couldn't have gone better. Very happy with the job.

very good. my only complaint is the joints are showing because it was not mudded/sanded as smoothly as it could have been, but overall I am very pleased. The area is in the basement and does not show.

Our kitchen cabinets were showing their age--the finish was wearing off, as was some of the original stain so that the cabinets no longer had a uniform color. We liked the color--a toffee maple--so it was important to us that the refinishing restore the original color. Tropical came out to assess the work and gave us a good price. They called a day or two before the agreed starting date to postpone the work by a week because of a family emergency experienced by one of the workers. That wasn't a problem for us. Once they started just a single workman did the work. He arrived early each day, worked through the day, and kept the mess confined to the work area. But he didn't do good work. The areas he restained did not match the original finish, he didn't wipe away all the grit before applying the stain and varnish, and his brush work was poor. All the work was to be done at the house, but we had to ask about a half dozen doors be taken to the shop to be redone. Even some of the redone one still have some grit imbedded in the varnish and uneven application of the varnish, although the color issue was corrected. The process, which we were told would take a week, took two and a half. This was a disappointing experience. The cabinets look better, but not really much better than if we had done them ourselves. It just wasn't the quality of work that we expected and it dragged on for longer than we expected.

I'm sad to say that I was very disappointed in the service and the quality of work that these guys have provided to me and my family,with the quote that we were giving we would have expected to have A1 service not only the service but the cleanup was all horrible. We found paint drippings everywhere when the spray with spray there was spray all over our faceplates when they unscrew the light fixtures they did not put the lights back they lost the screws to the original light fixtures I was doing work in my home they took screws from another light fixture to replace into the fixture that they lost. I was very disappointed in the work that we received from them. I'm still cleaning up paint drippings, they were definitely overpriced for the quality of work that we received I could have got in my 23 year old son to do a better job. Not to mention the wall that they installed it was very off it was not leveled correctly there were lumps on the walls the doors that they place you could see the nail beds all through the doors it was horrible

The painters were punctual, professional, and a pleasure to work with.

The work went smoothly. I cannot give an A on quality because I noticed paint lines on certain parts of the walls, especially when the sunlight hits them at an angle. Minor but still noticeable.

Excellent. Everyone was on time from meeting to discuss the job to the work being done. The painters were friendly, professional, neat and on time. We were very happy with the quality of the work, the speed of completion and communication process throughout. Will definitely hire again!

Good! They let me know of needed carpentry issues and siding replacements and listened to our needs and wants and followed through accordingly. They were also good about keeping us posted about additional changes and costs.

Amazing! They arrived on time and did an excellent job fixing small repairs from a previous paint job & painting our 3 rooms. They were very professional and paid a lot of attention to detail. Will definitely hire again.

It took about a month to come out to our house due to the popularity of the deal, but scheduling was very easy. Raphael arrived at our house on the appointed date and time and went straight to work. We went to work and came back to find an excellent job and everything cleaned up to perfection. We could not be happier with our experience and will be looking to this company for future service for a couple of other painting projects we have been postponing.

Very well. We paid for 8 hours of service. The painter showed up on schedule, and went right to work. He did not stop to take a break, eat lunch, etc. Did a great job of prepping the site, as well as cleaning up afterward. We would recommended this company to our family and friends

Michael and his team were wonderful. If the contractors/painters I met with for various projects on our new home, Michael was naturally the kindest and I liked him immediately - his communication was excellent throughout the process, and he stuck to his word about getting the painting finished in my daughter's room before she moved in, even when a worked got sick and he had to find a replacement. Very prompt, accurate and smooth interactions with great work. Would definitely hire again and recommend to friends.

I am very happy with the tile backsplash that Vicente installed. We had the tile and design all ready, but needed someone who would work with us closely. We had accent tiles worked into a special design within the backsplash, and knew exactly how we wanted it. There was quite a bit of cutting to incorporate our design and although Vicente said he had never done anything quite like it before, he did a fantastic job! He took the time to think about how he would approach each area as he worked his way around the entire project. He never rushed and he took a lot of pride in his work. It turned out exactly as we envisioned and we would definitely give our experience a big thumbs up! Mike and I had a few problems getting the worked scheduled, but considering we were working around our busy schedule as well as theirs, it was nothing major. And when we did set a date and time, Vicente was very prompt, polite, and professional. Great experience!

After repeatedly having to follow-up to receive Tropical's bid, once I received it, he wouldn't break down the labor estimate for the various tasks, and must have come to the conclusion that he couldn't make money honoring the deal on Angie's list. Eventually, he informed me that each of the two accent walls would require a full 8 hours - EACH!. (eg. 16 hours of labor for two walls!) Obviously, if I can paint those walls - even if it took me a day as a crazy terrible painter, it isn't remotely a 16 hour job for professionals. Deceptive, unprofessional, and wasted a lot of my time while I could have moved on to another provider. (I have since had numerous positive referrals and experiences with local firms, including 5 Star Painting.) A real shame, as I had referred other customers to Tropical biassed on my initial positive experience.
