It went great--- painter was professional, did a great job painting & cleaning.

The work went very well. It did take me several weeks to get in touch with someone to make an appt and then it was about 3 weeks before they had their first available appt. It wa s worth the wait.

Their estimate was prompt, detailed and we thought very fair, so since we had recently a good experience with them on wallpaper removal we decided to roll the dice. We scheduled the visit and Orlando arrived promptly on schedule, assessed the bathroom and began tearing out the old flooring. He was very thorough and had a lot of staples to remove, but finished it all and found our plywood subflooring to be in good shape and level. It took him several days to install the tile and part of a third to do the grout work. There were lots of cuts of tile due to our diagonal pattern but Orlando did a masterful job. My wife was absolutely thrilled with the results. We are asking for Orlando to come back in a month when we do the same in our guest bathroom upstairs. We're now having new floor molding installed and painting the room caramel color to match the tile. High quality work, extremely hard working employee and a great result!

It didn't and it won't. Not what they profess to be. As I senior, I had hoped that the service would provide some sort of help with what to buy, where to buy it and how much to buy. No such luck. Totally disappointed. I will probably not use Angie's list again. The bargain price was not a bargain.

The gentleman arrived on time and was professional and courteous. He asked for specifics on what I wanted done (repairing several holes that were punched through the drywall) and then offered to do a little more patching of nail holes and dents in the walls in order to help prepare the room for painting at no extra cost. He completely cleaned up the work area and did an excellent job with the drywall work.

Sergio did a great job on my backsplash. He covered the floors and countertops ahead of time to protect them during the job. When tiles needed to be cut to fit into smaller spaces, he measured and cut them carefully and accurately. I do wish I had know ahead of time that this job would take two full days, but we made it work.

I thought the painting performed was excellent. The painter was punctual, courteous and did a great job. Flawless work. Everything looks great. I would definitely use Tropical Painting again.

Rafael did an amazing job-punctual, kind and sensitive to the our dogs who were consistently blocking the door! He was neat, offered to pick up primer for us (which we didn't realize we needed) and offered advise about a paint color for a future job.

Very well, better than expected, actually. First of all, the estimate we got (from contractor Mike Almestica) was very detailed and covered everything, so we were confident that pricing was accurate--and it was, with no surprises or changes. One "B" grade we gave was about the fact that they were a tad pricier than other contractors (but the most detailed and professional, so ultimately likely worth it). The other "B" grade was about the fact that in order to communicate, we first had to text Mike, and alert him to emails with longer messages; and sometimes it took a day to hear back. However, that may be more because I am deaf and don't easily use voice phone. Otherwise he (and the crew) were very responsive to our questions or concerns. . At first we were alarmed, when we found out that Mike was out of town on another job during our project, and we were also told there would be a delay of one day. But his wife Sylvia filled in for him, coming over to talk with us and help us prepare for the project. Then the crew did show up on time the next day, and worked hard to finish one part of the job successfully before the holiday break. The crew (Porfirio, Sergio, Rafael) then returned on time, as scheduled, right after holiday (July 4), and worked steadily to complete all the work on schedule. The kitchen cabinet doors were taken off-site and we were warned it could be 1-2 weeks before they came back; but after we expressed concern about our impending out of town trip, they were done much sooner! Overall, they were hardworking, steady, pleasantly professional, and did an excellent job putting back all the furniture (including disassembling our office suite and bedroom suites), and cleaning up after themselves each day and at the finish. They were respectful of our property, our cat, and you never knew they were there when all was said and done.. This is a quality company and quality job. Thank you.

This is a first class team of hard working men who truly take pride in the quality of their work. They are very organized and impeccable in their daily clean up routine. They understand customer satisfaction and quickly gained my trust and confidence. I would recommend them without reservation. By the way, my wife would say I am very difficult to please. The contractor arrived on schedule and did a very good job. There was miscommunication about what needed to be done (he thought he was going to remove wallpaper) but it wasn't a problem. He brought new materials and knocked it out in a reasonable amount of time. I certainly appreciate their help!

Michael came out for a site visit, very polite and professional. Went over the job detail and explain his work and service and confirmed with me the job will be done as requested. Plumber knew exactly what to do on the day of the work performed. Job was completed in 1 business day. Plumber went through each completed job with me to confirm everything was completed and work was satisfactory. Clean and no mess. Would hire again

Rafael completed border removal in our half bath and our bedroom in that time frame and did a fantastic job. He showed up on time, was courteous and left no mess whatsoever.

Michael was very responsive. We had to reschedule once because of a work related issue, he informed me well before our scheduled appointment and offered another appointment date. Day before the appointment Michael again was in contact with me and let me know his guy was on the way. When his guy arrived he went immediately to work and done an excellent job. The repair was under a sink about 6-7 inches wide where the S trap lead outside. Took roughly 2 1/2 hrs. but again the repair was flawless and I would rehire Michael and his guy again.

well, on time, final work looks great ready for painting.

The gentleman sent by the contractor fixed all of the problems. I have no complaints.

Didn't show up or call. Emailed later to say they had employee illness but didn't call the day they were to paint. They rescheduled a date without checking to see if that date worked for the customer. Would NOT recommend them at all!

I spent a lot of time moving all my furniture into the middle of the rooms to prepare for the painter. They never showed up. I called only to find they never placed my job on their calendar, even though they sent me an email with the date and time a month earlier.

1st worker came in a removed wallpaper, took him 3 hours for a space 7X5 bathroom. 2nd worker came in next day to skim,mud, sand and chalk the walls. his name was Rachael and he was very pleasant cleaned up mess everyday before he left, I just thought it took longer than I was expecting. It took him a total of 12 hours and 3 hour for 1st worker. All work was done and in a pleasant manner. I will rehire for the next job. Thanks Tropical Paint and general contractors.

Owner and crew timely and very friendly. I probably should have ensured the quote covered everything completely as many of the verbal agreements were forgotten once the job started. Fortunately, the owner did not make a huge issue of this - I'm guessing in part because I had the extra materials required to do the work but that said, no heated arguments - everything handled properly and professionally. Quotes stated Tropical was to provide all materials except interior wall paints. Noticed they were using wood instead of PVC trim as stated in the quote. Part of this was probably OK as the exact trim was no longer available; however, they still could have use PVC for the main piece. I had some left over from a prior job and gave it to them to use. I also offered material for the window trip and window stools. I expected some credit but was not offered any and by the end of the job, I was ready for them to leave. The quality of most of the work was decent; however, 3 things stood out: (1) the interior repair was bad - from the drywall repair to the painting - I'll likely end up re-doing it, (2) the new siding had several large gaps - some large enough to fit your little finger in, and (3) inadequate attention to details - while they were eager to fix anything that I pointed out - I shouldn't have had to point it out to them. The pressure washing was just OK - I've had others get things much cleaner. If they work on their quality control, they can become a decent company to work with but for me, I won't use them again.

Came when they said they would. Did a great job. And pricing was very reasonable
