It went well. They showed up on time, and even put in extra work beyond their scheduled time to get the job done. and they did an excellent job of painting. The house looks beautiful. Very happy with them, would use them in future.

They haven't started the work yet due to the cold weather, however, they were prompt in arriving for the estimate. He was very informative while giving the estimate. He offered to move some items that are not on the shelves for me. I thought this was very nice of him. He said he would take care of whatever needs picked up in order to prep the area. So far, so good!

The two painters were very fast, attentive to details, respectful, dusted the second story ledge we can't reach without a ladder without being asked, cleaned up the dust. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

The job went very well. They were on time and went right to work. Job was very neat and performed to my expectations. I purchased their service which was a big deal offered for $395 for 2 painters for a day. They only had time to paint one 2 car garage. Had them come back to paint the other 2 car garage. I would recommend their services and will use them again in the future..

Very happy with the work performed. Employees were on time and worked non-stop through out the day. They took precautions and covered all furniture . They walked through each room and asked specific questions on what to paint. They filled in nail cracks, etc. They even went so far as to touch up some of the baseboards that was not included in the scope of the work. At the end they cleaned up beautifully. They even vacuumed my carpets!

Michael did an excellent job. He was very professional, and the cabinets look wonderful.

As soon as I contacted Mike through Angies List, he was very quick to respond. He immediately set up a time to come out and look at what I wanted done. He was very friendly and understood what I was looking for and he had his guys out to do the job within a couple of days. His workmen were very friendly and took great pride in their work and in making sure that I was happy with the job. They were very careful not to get any paint on any of the floors, even though I plan on redoing the floors. I would most definitely hire them again, in fact I am currently in the process of hiring them again to paint my walls on the first floor...I just haven't picked out my colors yet. Very professional and thorough.

From the very beginning, the interaction with Tropical Painting was exceptional. I had purchased one of the Angie's List coupons and was contacted promptly about setting up an appointment for the estimate. Michael explained the process and we agreed on a starting date about 6 weeks in the future. On the agreed date, the team got to our house and proceeded to do the job as outlined. It involved sanding cabinets inside the house and inside our garage where they had set up a temporary workshop to paint the doors and drawers. Considering how messy a job sanding can be, they left our kitchen and garage as clean as, if not cleaner, than is was before! Every day before they left, all was put away and cleaned up as well as is possible. The team was punctual, very courteous and an absolute delight to work with. Everything was done as promised, on time and was the greatest degree of professionalism. I would give them 6 stars if I could.

Mike and Abu were fabulous! Arrived on time, cleaned up after themselves, presented with kindness and enthusiasm and only wanted to make me happy. They did.

I had a small bathroom painted in preparation for guests during the upcoming holidays. The estimate was detailed including a breakout between labor and materials. The price was reasonable and the scheduling was convenient. I am happy with the results.

I was contacted by the owner, Mike, within 24 hours of sending an inquiry through Angie's list. I had spent the previous week refinishing my kitchen cabinets and adding a tile backsplash in the kitchen and was interested in having Tropical paint the wood trim and walls to complete the kitchen renovation. The trim was going to be the most difficult as the crown molding, chair rails, baseboards and 4 doors were all stained wood that we wanted to have painted white. Mike came out on Thursday to provide an estimate on this room as well as 3 other rooms in our home that need painted. He provided an estimate and we decided to schedule him to do the kitchen and wait to do the other three rooms until after we had seen the quality of his work in the first job. Mike scheduled us to begin work on the Monday before Thanksgiving. He arrived at the agreed upon time in the morning and immediately began preparing the room with help from his assistant. They carefully taped everything and covered my newly refinished kitchen cabinets with plastic. They also put plastic up over openings to other rooms to help limit any dust from traveling throughout the house. Over the course of Monday and Tuesday, wall repairs and ceiling repairs were done (speckling holes or cracks) and everything was sanded. The first coat of primer went on the woodwork and the ceiling was painted. On day three all final coats were completed as promised and they took the time to clean up everything and touch up any areas that needed it. Mike noticed a spot on the ceiling that he wasn't happy with (that I wouldn't have ever noticed) and re-patched and painted that section again without direction from me. The end result was a great job done and we are extremely happy with both the look of the room and the service provided. Mike took care of a few small details that were not part of the service (such as caulking the new tiling under the sink which probably only took 5 minutes but he was much better with a caulking gun than me). The pricing above included all work and materials for the kitchen painting. Upon seeing his work and his level of service, we immediately scheduled him to complete the other rooms that he provided an estimate for and will further plan on using him to paint the two bathrooms we are renovating in the spring. Tropical isn't a big company with all the bells and whistles, but THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY WHO YOU WANT TO HAVE COME IN AND PAINT YOUR HOME. The pictures attached are before and after. Before is with orange colored walls and stained wood trim. The after shots have white trim and sage green colored walls.

They showed up, did the work very well, and charged us less than the quote (which itself was *very* reasonable). Our only qualm with them was some unprofessionalness about the scheduling. They originally said it would take two and a half days (Friday through Sunday). When they showed up on day one, they said they thought they could do it in two (Friday and Sunday) and needed to skip Saturday for personal reasons. We thought that was fine, but then we got a call at 8am on Saturday morning asking if they could come that day and finish things up, rather than doing it on Sunday. We were a bit put out by the sudden change, but we said okay. When we checked-in with them later in the day to find out when they'd be finished, they said that someone would need to come back the next day to finish up. We were furious about the changes and made that fact known. Then, the owner told us it had been a miscommunication and everything was finished on Saturday. Overall, they were very good at what they do and did an excellent job.

We have known Mike for 5 years - he was recommended by an interior decorator when we moved into our house - he and his crew painted the whole interior of the house and did a really great job - We have called on him ever since and never been disappointed in the results - Tropical Painting doesn't really need our recommendation but we are very pleased to give it an A+ if asked - We will ask Mike to paint the exterior of our house sometime next year and only hope that he will have the time because he's very busy these days -

They were extremely careful not to ruin or damage anything and they put everything back exactly the way it was. They also installed two automatic swing arm doors to perfection. I am handicapped. They also widened a doorway for me. It makes my live so much easier and nicer. In addition to the above, the provider has made numerous miscellaneous repairs around my house, all done perfectly and to my satisfaction. Mike is always reasonably priced and just a very nice man. I trust him completely. He's an honorable man and backs his work. I am not a relative, friend, or a vender selling anything to this company. We were living out of the country and wanted our house ready when we returned. We communicated by email and everything went great. I am hiring them again (Now) for some outside painting.

They were an amazing company. They have done a very, very good work, and they gave attention to details. They painted everything. I would use them again next week!

I really like that they clean up after themselves. There was not a spot to be found anywhere when they left. I was completely impressed. They covered every inch of my floors and unmounted my TVs to do the painting. They were timely and very professional. If there was going to be an issue on time they would let me know in advance. I would very highly recommend them to anyone!
