Did a great job! Quick, easy, clean. Were able to do what I needed within the terms of the deal.

Michael Almestica is a very talented contractor; it seems he can take care of anything that needs fixing in or outside a house. He or his men showed up every time he said and were able to work within our schedules. It was a big help not to hire several more people to do all the jobs he took care of. Rafael who does his patching and painting is an artist at his work; all of his men are very polite and accommodating. They were very care to tent rooms in plastic to try to cut down on the dust from working on the walls and cleaned up at the end of every day. Anytime I found something I thought needed correcting, he was very quick to address it to our satisfaction. Michael does what he says and his charges what he estimates, and is very pleasant to work with.

Arrived on time. Took a lunch break. Clean areas well. They include the clean-up time in total charges. The job exceeded the 3 hours and the clean-up was included in the final calculation.

The job was an Angie's List Big Deal, three hours for $99, but it lasted about eight hours (two workers for four hours). The additional cost for the additional time was surprisingly little. The Deal specified that the repairs would be restricted to eight feet and under, but all of the cracks were repaired, regardless of their height, and some were quite high, as we have a vaulted ceiling. The two men on the job did a good job; they were thorough and fast. The only question that arose was whether we wanted them to stop at the agreed upon three hours or continue until they completed the job. They were happy to complete the job once we requested it and explained to us what they were doing when some repairs required addition effort. They cleaned up after themselves and only left some dust where they had sanded the repairs. We now plan to have Tropical Painting paint the rooms where the repairs were done.

I am requesting the refund because the contractor was unable to perform the services in the time frame that I needed them completed. The contractor did let me know up front the earliest date he could do the 3 hour job,but also indicated he would try to work me in earlier if he had a cancellation, so I have waited a while to see if that might happen. I am in the process of selling my home, and it needs to be completely painted before closing. I can not paint until the drywall work is done. I can not wait any longer and am requesting a refund.

Tropical was supposed to show up today to do work at 9:00. I called and he said he sent me an email to reschedule. I never got that email. It didn't come through Angie's list messaging system, which is the only email he had. I want a refund and I'll find someone else to do the work.

Mike and his team did an outstanding job. They worked with us to find a weekend time slot that we could be home. The work was outstanding.

They came on time, very professional. No complaints, I would hire them for future projects.

The tasks they had were many--prepping walls, skiimming the ceiling, prepping walls, finish carpentry, hanging doors, grouting floor tiles and backsplash, installing shower door and hardware. The work they did was done exceptionally well. Without hesitation, I will have them back.

Everything went well. There were some cleanup required where a previous contractor repaired some drywall holes in the ceiling, which took more time that I had planned for. The two painters completed what I had planned on getting done, two coats on both areas.

Had to call them back to clean up paint marks left on siding; took leftover paint after telling me they?d leave it. It was expensive paint. They brought it back after two days.

I have emailed back and forth with these people for over a month with no success in setting-up an appointment. I have decided to get a refund for the Big Deal. I do not recommend this service providers Big Deal.

I rehired Tropical Painting to paint my Dining Room, Master Bedroom, Bathroom, and Man Cave. Last year I hired them to paint our children's bedrooms, hallway and foyer. Out of all of the companies I have ever used, this company far exceeds expectations when it comes down to grade A quality, customer service and professionalism. I have referred this company to my professional network and will continue to do so in the future. It is my plan to have Tropical Painting paint the exterior of my home later this year. The workers were professional and helpful. They completed all the work I needed completed in the time alotted. They were very efficient.

It went great! They were professional, quick, and did everything we asked. They were better and above the other painters we have used.

Fair. Very difficult to get a hold of an it took a long time to get the work scheduled even though I had pre-paid for it. They arrived late on the day scheduled. Most concerning was the fact that in the middle of the job, after they had cleaned the floor, they indicated they couldn't find the paint color that I had choosen which caused a one week delay in getting the material - during which all the stuff in my garage was sitting outside. Then, after applying one coat of paint it was clear that the color I had choosen would not provide adequate coverage of the color already on the floor. As a result, I had to pay for a second coat.

The two men showed up at the time I requested and got to work immediately. They didn't have to do any prep work like spackling and taking off outlet covers and high hat covers so they spent all their time rolling my walls. My husband did all the spackling that preferably needs time to dry thoroughly, so the painters could totally concentrate on the painting. I was and still am so impressed with the results. I just love looking at my clean, freshly painted walls. They were extremely professional and did a fantastic job!! They took such good care of my home and wrapped my ceiling fans and hanging lamps and put plastic around everything that they did not want paint to drop onto. Again, Tropical Painting did an excellent job and I would definitely use them again. I am so impressed with the results and the care they gave to my home. Thank you!!

I had the deck on my house re-stained. I had not stained my deck in about four years. Tropical Painting spent a considerable amount of time sanding the deck prior to staining. The finished product looks very good.

When the work was completed, I noticed there were areas of the floor that had uneven coloration, some areas dark and others light ( not uniform ). I also noticed an area that you can clearly see roll marks on the floor, left from poor workmanship when they rolled the color, similar to how you see roll marks on a wall if you don't paint it evenly. There was also cracks that they did not fill properly and you can see fill marks, similar to when you fill a hole in the wall with spackle and they don't smooth it down before painting over it. Then I contacted him through email and did not get a response, so I felt in my gut that I just paid $649 and I probably won't see him again and I'm stuck with this awful garage floor and would need to pay someone else to redo it. So I called my bank to stop payment so at least I had some recourse. As I said to him, I will be happy to pay the $300 that I stopped payment on when he came back to fix it. But he said that he would only repaint the bad areas, which he warned me that might not be satisfactory because you will then see a difference in color once you paint a second coat. I did not want that as a result, so he suggested I pay another $100 and he'll paint the entire floor a second coat for even color. So you see, he offered to paint over his bad work but not the entire area, and if I wanted even color that meant me paying out $100 more for a total cost of $749. I feel I am paying more money to fix his bad work, when it should have been done right from the start. That's just bad business practice.

The owner and an employee showed up on time and completed the work within the estimated schedule. All work was top quality. Highly recommend this firm. Very ethical.

Tropical Painting was excellent to work with. Michael came out and inspected what needed to be done and then sent a detailed quote listing the labor and materials for each room. Once we agreed on a date he handled the purchasing of Sherwin Williams paint and the color matching where necessary. His team of four men worked hard over two days to get all of our repairs and painting complete. They were good about cleaning up after themselves as well. I highly recommend them.

The painters were professional and did a good job. I was concerned that the existing dark color of the room and lots of decals stuck on walls and ceiling would be a big problem, but they said no problem and dealt with it without complaint.

I wanted to write an update to my review. The off- white finish on the cabinets still looks just like they did one year ago. They have with stood constant wiping and cleaning, I cook all the time. I couldn't be more pleased.

They were very prompt to come out and look at the job and thoroughly explained the process that would take place in doing the job. Unfortunately due to an emergency out of town that will require our absence for quite some time we are unable to have them complete the service. Would recommend them as they were very professional and fully understood our unfortunate circumstance.

Fine, nice people. We had the come back and do all the trim in those rooms and more the next day. Looks great
