I love this provider. Probably the best company I have dealt with since I moved to North Carolina ten years ago. We build a brand new house that we moved into July 13th. Sometime during the build Troy Miller of Triangle Security met me at the house and discussed my security needs and gave me a quote. I got a quote from another company that was twice his price, and it turned out that that price was only for pre-wiring. The "other company," despite my asking him if that was the full price, failed to divulge that his pre-wiring was for FOUR smoke detectors in the garage, several upstairs, and all sorts of nonsense that would have come out to thousands of dollars after I had paid for the pre-wire. Triangle provided me only with that which I needed to secure my house, keeping in mind my budget. When the installer came out after we had moved in, I had forgotten what Troy Miller has suggested, and the install included all I had paid for, but not what Troy had suggested. I felt that a couple of windows needed to be secured, and called Troy. He came out immediately. The installer had done two windows not in the original bid, and Troy installed the windows that I was concerned with and never asked for another dime. My husband and I had a bit of a learning curve regarding the Honeywell keypad. Troy came out two more times, immediately after I emailed him, and taught us about the system with patience and professionalism. I cannot speak more highly about a company. They really are fabulous. Reasonable, responsive, and receptive.

The replacement went great. I had Triangle install a camera system for me about a year ago and they told me then I should get surge protectors installed. I was a fool and did not pay attention and learned my lesson the hard way.The owner Troy did the replacemnt and he has a thorough knowledge of security systems and is a pleasure to work with. He responds almost instantly to any question or concern and makes sure the customer is satisfied. If I could give A+ Triangle Security would get one.

Troy came over to evaluate the current system in my house and made suggestions for installing a system that met my needs. He scheduled my installation at a convenient time, prior to me going out of town for a few days. Eddie installed the system and answered all of my additional questions. Both were punctual and polite.

Troy Miller, the owner of Triangle Security, arranged to have a technician install a wireless device to my alarm system in order to eliminate a phone line. He explained the process by phone thoroughly and Ed, the technician. arrived promptly as scheduled and installed it without issue. There were some initial problems with central station receiving the signal and enabling my password. Neither of these were related to the installation process. Troy interceded on my behalf and fielded all phone calls to solve the problem. He communicated with me and customer service at central station during the evening hours until everything was working well. I was impressed with his attention to detail and customer service. I initially contacted Troy to install my alarm system after checking his reviews on Angie's List. I was very impressed with his additional work once again.

They were more interested in the monitoring systems. They themselves didn't come to fix the alarm but they gave me the name of Kenny Perry. He's the one they use when they are putting in a new system. He's a part timer and he knew everything about the system. They were nice and all and were indirectly helpful in that they referred me to the man they use.

Troy was excellent over the phone during several calls before, during and after the installation. The service tech was excellent, efficient and knowledgable.

We had been using ADT for many years, but had to change when our landline was damaged by lightning. We first had ADT come in to change the system over to a cell-based one, but they were unable to get a consistent signal from AT&T, the only cell provider they use. They were willing to install the cellular radio anyway, but couldn't guarantee connectivity. That didn't make sense if we wanted reliable coverage. That's when we decided to subscribe to Angies List and see what other people recommended. We were looking for a company that would install equipment for us, not a DIY installation, and a straight forward dependable system that would provide a reasonable level of security. We contacted two companies who were able to come out the next business day: Triangle Security (using Vector Security for monitoring) and CPI. A CPI salesperson came and gave us a great sales pitch similar to their commercial, showed us all their optional bells and whistles, and kept reducing the price, which seemed very reasonable. From a security system perspective, though, we were much more impressed by Troy Miller, the owner of Triangle, who didn't try to dazzle us with things we didn't want or need or give us a high-pressure sales pitch. Instead, he looked at our existing system and explained what he would do to change it over to a cell-based one and recommended changes to improve it (e.g., setting certain entry points to instant alarm, but leaving others on a delay; replacing the smoke detector). He also assured us his technician would be able to get a signal. Although their price was somewhat higher than CPI, we had more confidence in Triangle and decided to go with them. Troy said he would contact us the following Monday morning to schedule a time for the technician to come out. When he called, though, he said Kenny could come that morning, which he did. Unlike ADT, Kenny didn't try to get a signal only in the location of the existing control panel. He searched around and discovered a strong signal upstairs and even used the wiring from the old smoke detector (which he was replacing with a wireless one) to power the radio. He also pointed out that the old smoke detector wasn't in a good location anyway, because of its proximity to an HVAC return, and installed the new wireless unit in a better location. He spent time explaining the system and walking us through installing and using the smart phone app for remote access. Troy stopped by to check on things and talked to us more about Vector's monitoring. Once our monitoring started within a couple days, we called to test the system and it all worked as expected. We highly recommend Triangle because of Troy and Kenny's professionalism, experience, and knowledge of security matters, as well as their personal attention and expertise in adapting an existing system to a new cell-based one in a way that optimizes the level of security provided.

It was a pleasure doing business with them. Troy answered all questions, provided insight into security, and was willing to spend as much time with me as needed. He was never in a rush to get me off of the phone despite my many questions. The system initially had some problems because of the size of the house. Troy fixed the problem at his expense and even followed up with a phone call a few days later to be sure all was well. Kenny installed the system and did a wonderful job. He was patient and pleasant throughout the entire installation even though it was like a three-ring circus in the house. (We had just moved in and had contractors coming and going the whole time.)

They did a fantastic job. They installed a great system. They gave us advise, to help us save money and not waste on unnecessary equipment. They were very informative. They had a fantastic customer service. I am completely happy with their work.

HURRAH for Troy Miller and Triangle Security !!!! Mr. Miller has once again proved that to be a consultant, you must start by knowing each clients specific needs and circumstances. No more one size fits all.

Kenny was wonderful - no hard sell. He was helpful and very good about answering all questions. Troy too was very responsive. I would not hesitate to recommend this company at any time.

Other than the $500 installation fee there is a $45 monthly system monitoring charge. They were responsive, professional and very low pressure., which is something I have read, is not something with the big box security systems. We had very personal service from Kenny Perry. He has been very responsive on the phone and I can call him at any time for any help I need with the alarm system. he came in to our house and customized our alarm system in a way that best suited our needs. There was never a sales pitch, instead he was trying to fit our needs as best he could. He ended up placing a special custom switch on the siren for us because we have a family dog that would be very disturbed by a false alarm. He gave us an ability to turn the siren off that most customers don't get out of the box. He had to install the switch himself to do that. We have been extremely pleased with them.

I had an existing alarm which had prior problems so I did a search on Angie's list for a reliable alarm company which led me to Triangle Security. I had numerous emails and phone calls with Troy, the owner. He was thorough and answered all of my questions without hesitation. It was obvious that he was competent. He recommended that Kenny, his master technician, evaluate the existing system prior to installation, which helped with the process. Kenny arrived promptly on the install date and worked carefully and thoroughly to incorporate my system. He realized that some of the existing equipment was not programmed correctly so he rectified that. I remained in my home for the installation and he explained everything to me and offered suggestions. I am not an alarm technician but it was still obvious to me that he knew his equipment and took pride in his workmanship. He had to go to a supply house to get some additional equipment but he did so without hesitation or complaint. All said his installation lasted for about six hours and he did not leave until he felt I was satisfied with the installation and how the alarm operated. I was very impressed and would recommend Triangle Security to anyone interested in installing a new alarm or modifying an existing one, Troy's and Kenny's work ethic and attention to detail are indicative of their pride in the company.

They were good at helping us figure out what we needed for the layout of our house. The install was easy and smooth. The system was up and working immediately.

Kenny Perry was prompt, courteous, efficient and knowledgeable. He assessed the multiple problems we had (outdated 2G cellular back which had to upgraded to 4G, multiple glass break detectors broken, and a heat/smoke sensor broken), fixed them all and got our system up and working in a few hours. Triangle Security gave me a one time $150 rebate for being an Angies list customer so my bill was only about $100 but I signed up for the annual monitoring for about $500 which was cheaper than our two previous monitoring services. Overall, I was VERY happy.

Excellent! Received prompt response and appointment to telephone call. Technician, Kenny Perry, arrived promptly and quickly assessed problem with defective smoke alarm unit. He left to purchase a replacement unit and quickly returned to our home to install the new smoke alarm. He tested system to assure interconnection with other smoke alarms (total of 7) in our home. Kenny was most knowledgeable, efficient and courteous. We highly recommend the services of Triangle Security and its technician, Kenny Perry. The smoke alarms are interconnected and powered by our home's electric power. Each unit has a battery backup.

I called them to get some advice regarding some of our security system magnets falling off the windows (installed by another company). Troy gave me great advice (told me not to glue them back on, but to use double sided foam tape), was very patient with me, and answered all of my questions. Great customer service! Although there was no need to use Triangle Security in this instance, I would gladly do so, should the need ever arise.

It was fantastic. I had read reviews about this firm on Angie's List, and the whole experience was as others described. The consultation was low pressure and really collaborative to understand my needs. I actually increased the scope of the system fairly substantially from what they had recommended based on my desire for additional protection (that probably isn't necessary, but it will make me happier). Kenny is a real gentlemen. He was on time, and worked efficiently over the installation period. He explained all of the system features, and answered all of my questions. I give these guys two thumbs up!

I had several conversations by phone with kenny Perry of Triangle Security, Inc. He was courteous, exerted no sales pressure, answered my many questions objectively and thoroughly. He was punctual in keeping the scheduled installation and follow-up support appointments. The job was completed in a timely manner and neatly. Customer satisfaction is of utmost importance to Kenny and Triangle Security, Inc. Following initial consultation with Kenny. My wife and I had decided on an ideal location for the communications module, but had resigned ourselves to accepting a less desirable placement due to what we perceived as insurmountable structural obstacles. Kenny carefully assessed the situation and recommended a solution which reflected knowledge gained from his many years of experience in successfully dealing with simialr challenges. With his skillful installation, we have the module in the ideal location, and exactly where we want it. During our seven-day unmonitored familiarization period, on a Sunday evening, we unintentionally triggered the intrusion alarm, and in our confusion could not turn off the system to stop the very loud siren. We called Kenny! He promptly came out, courteously and patiently dealt with the situation, put us at ease and insisted we call him with any questions or need in the future. That's what I call consumer friendly service. We highly recommend this company and Kenny Perry to anyone considering home security systems.

They were able to use existing alarm system components that helped to save us money. The installer was prompt and completed the install in a very timely manner. We had an issue with a sensor after the install was complete and they came back out to correct it.

We contacted Triangle Security because of their high ratings on Angie's list. As we expected, Kenny was highly responsive, friendly, low-pressure, and easy to work with. He was very willing to explain what an alarm system does, what sensors we need, and which sensors we may not need if we wanted to bring the price down. There was no pressure on us to buy a system. Once installed, we had a slight issue with one of the glass break sensors, which we believe was due to acorns making a particularly loud sound when hitting the metal roof directly over the sensor. We got two calls from friendly folks at the call center telling us exactly where the sensor was tripping. I e-mailed Kenny about this, and he was right out to adjust the sensor. He is emphatic about wanting us to be happy with our system. We highly value services that go easy on the sales pressure and focus on getting us what we need, and being available if something should stop functioning. Triangle Security did a great job on both fronts.
